American Vacuum Company was founded in the early 1900s by Ralph H. Person, who purchased the vacuum cleaning division of American Radiator Company. Hence the brand name: Arco. Our humble beginning began in the basement of a building located in downtown Chicago. In the years that followed through the great depression and two world wars, American Vacuum Company expanded its operation and built a manufacturing facility in Skokie, IL. As the family business grew with the addition of Ralph M. Person, American Vacuum continued to expand even further.

I have been working with American Vacuum for nearly 20 years. I remember doing a project that had 100 drops and thousands of feet of pipe. The system worked awesome as all of them do with AVC. They don't hesitate to send you extra parts to complete a project they just ship it at no extra cost. You will sometimes have things happen on any project. Things get lost, broken or shortages. None of these things are an issue with American Vacuum. I wish all companies we worked with were more like AVC! Awesome Group I look forward to what the Future holds!
