Village Tailor & Cleaners has been very professional to work with! They have a digital cataloging system so you are sure to not forget items with them and they handle everything with care. They have also made miracles happen with last minute alterations that have been totally transformative. It used to be my to-go tailor until today. A few months ago I left some pants for the hem to be tailored and it fell. Today I went to get this and other new things tailored and when I asked about this the person at the front desk said this was because of the way that I walked! When they asked if I wanted this to be fixed for free I said I wanted it as guarantee to what they answered they didn't do refunds.

I had an additional piece that was not tailored properly and I have't worn (pic) but with that attitude, not even understanding what guarantee means and maybe this time blaming me for the way I move my arms, I took my clothes and left. Half a block south in Sullivan street they fix your hem for $25 instead of $35 by the way!

Village Tailor is my go-to for dry cleaning and alterations. I'm there frequently, dropping off and picking up, and always greeted warmly by Kerby. Very great customer service and quick service turnaround overall. A little pricey, but they allow you to return the alteration for free touch ups if you need to. The staff is wonderful. Also, it is great to that they also email/text you the ticket in case you lose it. Service: Alterations

I've been a customer of Village Tailor for over 5 years. The service is impeccable. The quality of work is excellent. The best part of all is how I'm greeted. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Kerby is the best! She, Antonio and Daisy are all so professional. It's a family run business and I feel like family.

Fabulous customer service! Really flexible and understanding staff. I am heading out of town to Paris and needed a pair of pants dry cleaned within a day. Although, their wholeseller had already picked up the clothes for the day, they made a call and had him come back so that he could dry clean my pants and have them ready by tomorrow. VERY APPRECIATIVE! THANK YOU!

After searching for a leather specialist in the city my friend and I found the Village Tailors in Soho. They did a great job and delivered two leather pants with the desired alternations. Kerby and Antonio are definitely the people to go to if you need any type of alternation.

The team at Village Tailor & Cleaners went above and beyond to take care of such a special project for me. They altered my father's Sam Wolf coat - originally size 42 - to my size (I wear an XS). It was a huge job and they executed it flawlessly! I know that this was no easy task! When I picked up the coat, I realized I wanted the sleeves a little shorter and they adjusted within a couple days without question. A kind and very skilled place to have your most special garments tailored!

After bringing my black lambskin leather jacket to them which had large areas of discoloration, they made it look like new. They were communicative and honest about the fact that the facility where they repair leather was experiencing delays due to supply chain issues so the ETA for completion would be pushed back. Really solid business comprised of true craftsmen that adds charm and value to the community.

Excellent place with excellent people! Vince does great work, from dry cleaning delicate garments to alterations- even telling me when I should leave a piece as it is. I definitely appreciate the honestly. A true neighborhood institution- and they have a dog! Bruno gives the best snuggles.

I brought a silk shirt here after spilling a few drops of coffee on it and they assured me they'd be able to remove the stain. The shirt is totally destroyed and they offered me a "discount" for their services. 10$ instead of $12 for a destroyed shirt. Great customer service. I walked away without my 150$ ruined shirt. I am so sorry I went here instead of my usual amazing dry cleaner who charges much less to begin with.

For anyone looking for women's suit tailoring, check this place out. I brought 2 suits that were several sizes too large, and they did a great job on both and finished a week before scheduled. This was an involved job- most seems needed to be altered. There was only one issue with one of the jackets ( they shortened the sleeves too much) but they are fixing it free of charge with quick turnaround. Prices aren't cheap, but reasonable for NYC.

Stop searching for a tailor, you've found them. After a series of hits and misses w/tailors around the city, I've found my go to. Nobody touches anything of mine except for Village Tailor & Cleaners. Vincent is very fair on pricing and communicates well on timing.

Antonio the tailor is an artist. He's taken on every complicated project I've had and executed with perfection. Examples:

- Multiple suede or leather John Varavatos blazers with working cuffs, all sleeves shortened from the shoulders.
- At least 10 suits, all slimmed down to fit perfectly.
- Recreated some detail on the cuffs of a very expensive jacket shortened from the sleeves.
- Time permitting, has done pants on the spot for me after purchases in SoHo. (I mean, are you kidding me?)

There are some people I don't mind giving money to. Village Tailor & Cleaners are on that short list. Trust these guys w/your expensive pieces. They've always come through for me.
