Coit Drapery & Carpet Cleaners

Do I have to give a star? Should have come to Yelp first. As other reviewers have mentioned, I setup an appointment a couple weeks ago for today. We cancelled our housekeepers, moved furniture around in the house and arranged our work schedules to ensure we would be at home timely during the window we COIT gave us from 3-5pm today. At 4:45, I called COIT to confirm someone was on the way.

The person said she texted the driver, and he should be on the way and would call me any minute as her system also showed a 3-5pm arrival for our appointment. At 5:05, no call, no show, so I called back to learn that the driver had apparently shown up at 1pm (2 hours before the arrival time), lied and said he tried to call (I had my phone on me the entire day, no calls, no texts, no voicemails whatsoever), waited for a half hour and left.

No call, no show, and no one called me back even AFTER I called at 4:45. No apology, just, "Would you like to reschedule?" Uh, no. Why would I reschedule after this level of inconvenience. This is utter Bullsh!t. Whatever is going on at COIT with scheduling the techs is a complete disaster, a waste of time and obviously I'm not the only one, given the other reviews. What a nightmare of a company. I will never use them again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Very professional work. Arrived on time (a little early even), wore a mask through all close proximity meeting (as requested), quick estimate and efficient work. It was an hour from doorbell to departure. Service: General carpet cleaning

I am sorry that I did not get the names of both men who came to our home today. They arrived at the very beginning of the window we were given. They went to work immediately inspecting the house and gave us an estimate that was acceptable to us and inline with one other estimate we received. We accepted the estimate and they went to work right away. Both men were personable and knowledgeable. Thank you for making this process a pleasure.

I don't like to give negative reviews to businesses however this company passed all red lines. They came here to give me an estimate three weeks ago. You can clear as see with their handwriting making an appointment with me on June 8 between 11 to 1:30 PM as well as getting 35% off. The tried to change it for tomorrow which does not work for me. Just to make sure everyone knows this company is non-reliable.

I know Juan Carlos Ruiz who works for Coit in the city of Monrovia and he says that his co-workers drink alcoholic drinks and use drugs during they are working he says that they use work time for personal matters and some of them say they are working and it is not true they are at home. He says some of them live far from the company and drink alcoholic beverages all the way before starting work and he says the sales persons don't do their job well. He says is a company that has no control.that's why this company has such bad reviews.

This review is on COIT's business practices not on cleaning services. I called COIT to request a firm price for sofa cleaning COIT has cleaned my sofa in the past. I told scheduler that I didn't want an estimate but wanted firm price. Scheduler found my records in their system and told me what she said was a firm price. It was too expensive so I declined to set an appointment. Scheduler said she would decrease price by $50 if I would schedule so I did.

The day before appointment I called COIT to confirm and to reconfirm that price was fixed at rate I had been quoted. I told scheduler I was paying cash and didn't want any surprises. She confirmed price I had been told by scheduler. Next days the technicians arrived with a clipboard and I looked for their cleaning equipment. They advised to my surprise that they were there to give me an estimate.

I told them I had requested firm price and had booked based on that price and that had confirmed the price the day before. If their estimate had been the alleged "firm" price I would have proceeded with work. The estimate was more than $100 more than so called firm price and also included service charges that had not been previously mentioned. In years past I was satisfied with cleaning services but their business practices had me to uncomfortable to use them I will look for someone else

Jessie and William were great - polite, personable AND super honest - I was getting my air ducts vacuumed but they advised against it because there was some deterioration inside and disturbing it could loosen fiberglass and that would blow out. They could have easily charged me to do it but they were honest! Thank you both!

Absolutely unprofessional! I would give you zero stars if I could. I scheduled my carpet cleaning appt way in advance. We moved all of the furniture out of the room and made other preparations prior to the Coit technician arriving. We were planning to host a party that weekend. The technician arrives and enters our home. I show him to the room where the room is to be cleaned.

He turns to me and says, "I will not be able to clean the carpet today as my truck has broken down." REALLY? He could not call me in advance and provide me with this information? Coit could not find one other person to come to complete the job? Why did the technician bother to come to and enter our home? Needless to say, our weekend, including the party we had planned for, was ruined. I will NEVER use Coit again!

This company does not do a professional job and lies to you. They had my area rug for a week. The day it was supposed to be returned, no one came. I called them to find out what was going on and the receptionist told me that it would be here between 11AM and 1PM. I waited until after 2 and no word from them and no delivery. I called again to find out they rescheduled it, didn't tell me and had no reason to do so.

The receptionist told me that the manager would be calling me in a few minutes. When the manager finally did call, he said that my carpet cleaning did not meet their standards and they were going to redo it before they brought it back to me in a couple of days! I got my carpet the next day and it looked exactly like it did when they took it! I don't believe it was ever cleaned, but I had to pay for it anyway. Never again. I had another company come and they cleaned my carpet and it looks like new! Don't use this company!

I had my vents cleaned in my first home a few weeks ago. Getting a quote and appointment set up was easy. Shane did an amazing job cleaning the vents and explaining proper filter maintenance to me. Even my man hating dog loved him. Great customer service, I will definitely be hiring COIT again in the future! Service: HVAC duct & vent cleaning

This review is not about their services which are very good but about their booking services. I arranged an appointment 2 weeks ago and confirmed the time yet no one showed up. I arranged for a new time the next day and again no one showed up. I was in communication with them by phone and again no one showed up. They did this to me also last year. Go ahead and book with them if you have no life and can wait around for days.

Sofa cleaning was average; carpet cleaning was decent. The main issue is that the job price upon arrival was almost double the quote given over the phone. Frustrating and will not use again.

The two member team showed up 15 minutes prior to the anticipated arrival window of 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. That was fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and sensitive to the issues surrounding the requirements of the HOA. They were very thorough in their work, efficient, did a great job and gave me a reasonable price. This is the third time I have used COIT to clean the carpet in my condo and, each time has been good, but the most recent cleaning, today, January 29, 2022, they did the best job of all three times. I am thankful for the work they performed as my carpet is very clean and I plan to utilize their services again. Thanks COIT!

NO NO NO. I used them a year ago and they did a great job - although they were way overpriced. They came out recently to clean a few spots on my Moroccan rug and the ENTIRE RUG IS A STICKY MATTED MESS - worse than how they found it and in addition they charged 280. Waiting to see if coit will hold up their end with guaranteeing their work.

We had Coit come and clean our carpets before the holidays. We have always used them in the past on a yearly basis. I was very disappointed this time. They did not get the dirty areas clean and didn't let me know they were unable to. I didn't notice one room until weeks later because it is a spare room. I wrote a complaint on their website and no one even contacted me to discuss the problem.

I wont be using them again. I could have done a better job myself. I plan to use a carpet cleaner and redo the areas. It didn't smell fresh when they were done either. Its Almost like they only used plain water.

Michael A Wilson was at our home today to clean some carpet and upholstery. He did an excellent job. We had some stains as a result of a water softer leak that we did not think could be completely removed - but they are all gone. Amazing! He is extremely personable and the price was reasonable. We will ask for Michael by name next time.

This place is unprofessional and untimely. Do not use. I scheduled to have my ducts and vents, along with my carpet and hardwood cleaned. The duct and vent guy showed up on time but didn't clean all the vents. The floor guy came after 3 1/2 hours past the arrival service time. This was only after I called and followed up 3 times. He only completed the carpet; hardwood was to be completed the next day.

They scheduled for the next day but the guy calls when he's supposed to show up and provides some stupid excuse about why they can't clean the hardwood. Complete waste of time waiting all day and the next day for this. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Michael A. Wilson did a wonderful job cleaning the carpet in several rooms in my house. He called before showing up and he was on time. They are over priced! I had only one couch to be cleaned that didn't have any cushions or pillows on it as I washed the coverings for those myself. I only needed the frame cleaned. They quoted $230 which was higher than I expected but I went ahead anyway. However after it was finished the technician said by the way there will be a $25 service charge. WTH?!

How slimey is that to jack up the price even more after the job was already done! I asked how they could charge that much for one couch that didn't even include cushions and pillows. The technician responded that's coit for you. Well this is me for you and I'll never use your service again!

I had coit come out and clean commercial carpeting, over charged and price Gouged. The service was inconsistent as the tech was cleaning with multiple strokes to start but finished with 1 stroke to complete the job faster leaving the carpet saturated and unable to dry. Took multiple calls just to schedule, I would look elsewhere for your carpet cleaning needs

I hired Coit Cleaning and Restoration to clean all air conditioning ducts in my home. My floors and counter tops seem to never stay clean and I learned on of the possibility that the air conditioning ducts need cleaning. I picked Coit becuase of a recommendation from my heating and air conditioning company. I learned Coit is certified to do duct cleaning to meet air standards.

They came two days later and on time. Joey Ybarra did a superior job. I cannot say enough about his work. He was edcuated on all aspects of the job, thorough, worked with intention and focus, and very pleasant. He worked quickly but did not rush to get out. He did not stop until all was perfect. Best customer service I think I have ever had and the results were unbelievable.

I could tell the cleaniness of the air immediately. My house is cleaner and I have not been coughing. I have them in my calendar for duct cleaning. they also do tile cleaning and sealing. I am having them back to clean my tile and seal. They will be my go to for all cleaning. I will not look for other companies. The main office is in Monrovia but they do all of LA. So very pleased with the results. Highly recommend.

Got our tiles & grout scrubbed. Totally overpriced. The grout on the sides were still dirty went it dried out. Only the grout I the main surface was cleaned.

It's kind of unbelievable how incompetent this company is. We had to schedule our appointment 5 separate times to get a dryer vent cleaned. FIVE TIMES! First they showed with no ladder, then they cancelled, then they came back with the wrong ladder, then the ladder they had wasn't tall enough. Finally, they cancelled because they had no technicians that day of my appointment. Save yourself the aggravation and call A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE PROPER EQUIPMENT. Totally unprofessional and will waste your time with games.

Carpet stunk after washing. Very expensive. Furniture came out great. Coit did come back out and added more deodorizer which helped a lot Service: Carpet cleaning

Micheal did a great job! I hired him to do my bosses home. Micheal and all the Coit staff were professional and thorough. Micheal cleaned the entire house in 2 hours. COIT was 3.5 hours late, technician told me he was irritated and had no record of the inspection / proposal that COIT had performed a week earlier. He said it would take 4-5 hours, same time the previous rep had told me during the proposal meeting. Because of the late start it was already around 530pm when he began, he complained he would be working till 10 at least.

I felt bad, but I had movers coming 2 days later and needed the job done, the company should have given him more support. Anyhow, I got a call only 2 hours later saying the work was done. Upon inspection none of the scuffs or marks had been addressed on the hardwoods and much of the floors looked like they hadn't even been touched. Despite the COIT website explicitly saying "never steam wood floors" they steamed my new hardwood floors, and there were puddles all over the house that I had to go around and mop up.

The job was hustled and not completed, I was charged $1600 which is exorbitant for 2 hours of mediocre at best work, not to mention the steam which left lasting damage to my floors. I called the company and they said they would come back, but kept insisting they would still steam my floors again which my contractor, architect and anyone else (including their own site) strongly advised against.

I told them I just wanted money refunded because I no longer trusted them and feared irreparable damage to my new home, but they only offered me $160 in return. I hired them to do a post construction deep clean on my brand new floors, but they failed and caused more harm than good. I paid 3 women half the price they charged to clean the WHOLE HOUSE, floors, cabinet interiors, etc, they worked for 5 hours and did a phenomenal job. Find a local operation to do your work, this 'national brand' has no accountability.

I had planned to have our carpet steam cleaned but Steven and Darrien recommended shampooing it instead since the carpet had not been cleaned for a couple years and had numerous stains. I could not believe the stains came out! Well done!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality the carpet cleaner was late! we wanted the tile in my shower done and he said it would take too long and he probably couldn't get it clean(its 2 years old!), and he complained a lot! he came to our house last year, and I specifically said that I didn't want him back! Coit cleaned our tiled area with grout and dirty metal mini blinds (14) and pleated shades (3). They were highly professional, courteous, and friendly and great to work with. Highly recommend! Will use again! Service: Flooring

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness Answer requests in a prompt manner. Do the cleaning correctly. After the technician left, the system was pushing items out of the overhead vents. Somehow service has changed since you cleaned the area rug and drapery. Service: Ductless heating and AC services

The technician was wonderful. He was friendly and informative and did a wonderful job. Our ducts were disgusting. He cleaned our house in about 75 minutes, roughly 17 ducts @ $35/piece. There are coupons online so we didn't pay full price. He cleaned up his mess, took off his shoes and was accommodating the entire cleaning! thank you.
