Our environmentally-friendly cleaning processes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, from tiny parts to huge industrial machinery, are vastly superior to the alternative cleaning methods that damage items, e.g., those via sand blasting, acid dipping, and hand stripping. Additionally, our services are economical and less time-consuming than typical industrial methods.

Great place to get your metal stripped of paint. I had a mini bike frame done and Gregg walked me through the process and the pros and cons of the several methods he employs. Woked great and saved me a lot of time and hassle. I forgot to take the "before" pics, but i can assure you that after a quick prep cleaning the metal was ready for epoxy primer. This is after paint! Very happy customer. Thanks Gregg

I had an amazing experience at American Metal Cleaning. They were extremely helpful and friendly over the phone and in person. They did an incredible job removing the paint and reviving my old rusted bike fork at a very competitive price (see my before and after images). I would highly recommend them to anyone working on a bike or other paint removal project. Thank you very much!

Always a good experience here. I have been restoring a classic Pontiac and started to bring body parts in last year. They do good work and reasonable in price. Gregg the owner is a really nice guy. Typically about a two week turn around on cleaning. Like all things in the automobile restro world, people debate dip stripping. I have had no problems and it is a testament to the process when you see entire vintage Porsche bodies being dipped there.

I was on my way up to my preferred powdercoating shop, (hard notched customs) and they referred me to this shop to have a set of 10 lifted dodge coil springs stripped of the previous powder coating that I had done for a previous project which switched directions. I called and spoke with Gregg who had recommended that I drop them off for Chemical strip rather than burning off the powder and risk compromising the spring rate which I couldn't agree more.
I left the parts and they were finished and ready in time for powder. The previous coating was COMPLETELY STRIPPED and literally ready for re-coating immediately which is exactly what happened. no sandblasting necessary, they literally were in the powder booth an hour and a half later (would have been 15 minutes without traffic) I hung the springs in the booth and they were done/baked in 45 minutes. There is a huge advantage to having parts stripped as opposed to blasting and there's not many companies that offer this service.

I had them strip the factory paint off of a bike frame for my daughter. I was on deadline for Christmas and they met it. Very friendly, easy to deal with, and that frame was clean and ready for powdercoating. I did have to call to confirm that they were done because I hadn't heard from them (otherwise they get 5 stars). Cash or check only, so plan accordingly
