I have been using Best Cleaners for years because they have been super reliable and friendly. A no-brainer when things go as planned. Recently, I dropped off my business clothes for same day, but unfortunately they were not registered as such. I came and they weren't ready, and I needed them for a trip. Look. I own a business too, and EVERY business makes a mistake.
This is how they handled it: Totally validating and non-defensive about the error, worked to "scramble the jets" to get the order done, and then delivered free to my home knowing that I had to catch a plane in the morning. Would have been easy to say, "Oh well." How they handled it is what great businesses do. Thanks to Best Cleaners! Customer for life.

I went in with bags on which I'd paid a $12 deposit. The owner said he had no record of me being a customer. He asked me to come up with proof. I asked him to please provide a receipt for the bags so that when I came back with the proof I would not also have to prove that I'd given him the bags. He became very angry. I asked if he'd please just give me the bags back and I'd return with the proof and the bags.
He told me he'd give me half $6 because he never wanted to see me again. He was completely enraged to the point of being scary. I did nothing to provoke this. I took the $6 and he yelled at me "Don't come back!" Don't worry, I won't. I hope no one else does either.
