I love going to the Staples Mill location as they also do alterations there. It's so modern in there! No matter which one, the service is always a pleasure and my comforter always comes back so fresh and clean! I've gotten alterations years ago for a work uniform and was very happy with the results. Seamstress was very knowledgeable!

Puritan offers very convenient services, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the lack of transparency and inequality when it comes to pricing. It would be great if the prices were posted in the store or on the website. Also, I've noticed that certain items, e.g., button-down collared shirts, have huge pricing discrepancies based on gender. A woman's button-down is tendered as a blouse, and having two dry cleaned will run you about $19 and some change, but men's button-downs are priced at just under $4 each.

I brought a bridesmaids dress in after the tailor had ruined it with oil. Thinking it was a lost cause and not having any time to figure it out, the wonderful people at Puritan rallied to help me figure out how to clean it. They worked all afternoon and got it clean! They were so kind to help and somehow got all of the oil out of the satin dress. Such a miracle!

Puritan Cleaners is the most reputable dry cleaning service in RVA. They take pride in their work and seek customer satisfaction with ever job they undertake. They are community minded and give back in an extraordinary way that sets a great example of how a company can be an important part of the community in which it exists. I wish I cold give them more than the 5 stars allotted in this survey. RB

As usual, my cleaning was done well, professionally, and promptly. A problem arose when I came to pick up my order and they could not find a blazer that had been cleaned. It was not a big deal and I told them I would return when they let me know it had been found. Instead of calling me, they delivered the blazer to my office. Certainly not expected or necessary, but greatly appreciated.

I thrift leather jackets and there are not many cleaners in my area that clean leather. I chose to take 3 of my leather jackets to Puritan Cleaners to have them cleaned/ restored. They did an AMAZING job with my jackets and they were very patient with me when I couldn't pick them up as soon as they were ready. The customer service I received from each employee I encountered was exceptional. I will continue using Puritan Cleaners for all of my dry cleaning/ leather good needs!

I had two coats cleaned at Puritan Cleaners. One was a light color, down coat that had some spots in a few places. They did an excellent job cleaning it and now it looks good as new! The other coat was a wool coat that had a loose button on it when I took it in. I removed the button to sew it on later myself. Upon bringing my coats home, I noticed a note on my wool coat that said "complimentary button repair, " there must have been another spare button on the inside of the coat. That was such a lovely surprise and something only a hometown cleaners would do! Many thanks for such great and thoughtful service!

This place is great! i take all my dry cleaning here and i also get any alterations i need done here as well. the only thing is both alterations i've had done has taken a week or longer but i assume that's due to the seamstress being super busy, which is the only reason i didn't give the entire 5 stars. love this place though and would definitely recommend!

$45 for 2 suits and 1 shirt. The staples mill location is really nice and clean and good customer service. Like it much better than Scott's addition. They also got my items back to me before my trip, within 24 hours.

I brought my wedding dress to be cleaned and their wedding dress specialist was great. He was very detailed and determined to clean it to the best of his ability - even marks on the underside of the skirt. When I picked it up, I saw a few marks on the front that hadn't been there originally. I knew this couldn't have been okay with the specialist so I brought it back and they were able to remove those as well without any fuss. It was great to have my concerns taken seriously and resolved well.

My favorite location is the one on Pump Road- great customer service. The alterations gal is AWESOME! I fee comfortable and welcome whenever I go there

Very professional and friendly place. Employees care about their work. High praise for the lady that does the alterations. Reasonably priced. Wont mind driving the 45 mins. to get there after such wonderful service

Real customer service! Brought in 4 items for cleaning. Puritan did a complimentary hem on pair of pants. Thanks and the customer service people were very friendly when dropping off and picking up.

I much prefer the location on Midlo Turnpike to this one but still receive good results here. The staff isn't quite as friendly and efficient at this location and on many occasions I've noticed my clothes not being cleaned appropriately or fully. Also, when I inquired about delivery and pick up services, I wasn't offered much help besides to call the guy who drives the truck. is this standard protocol? Seems odd. I'll stick to the location on Midlo.

I have used the Puritan Cleaners on Staples Mill and in Short Pump for alterations and repairs. Those two ladies are the nicest and most talented seamtresses that you'll ever find. And all my dry cleaning always comes back looking great.

I have been using Puritan for over 10 years and have never had a problem. The delivery service was so convenient when I was working. The staff is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

I am a regular customer. I always get great, personal service. The "in by 9 back by 5" M-Sat service is helpful. Convenient Sunday drop off and pick up hours as well. Good shirt service- They always check and replace missing buttons etc. In summary, great hours, great service, good value.

They did a fantastic job. They even returned some money I mistakenly left in my pockets. They are very well organized and customer focused from what I could tell. Even sent me a text and email letting me know when my clothes were done.

I am a business owner, so it pains me to write this. However, this has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business, My sour experience has been chronic. One bad experience after another. My items garments lost, taking forever to recover & when I returned a shirt that wasn't mine, I got charged again for cleaning it & to this day I get reminders to pick it up, when I had delivery service only. I've made many calls, received a lot of promises & never, ever was my order handled properly.

I called & asked them to delete from their database & obviously that didn't happen either. BEWARE! I used them because they had good reviews, but this has been unbelievable. To the point of being ridiculous

I have never seen a dry cleaners with actual customer service. I was SHOCKED how well the company has implemented customer service so well. I did not expect this from a dry cleaners, let alone its hard to find this good of customer service in ANY business. A little expensive, but now I see why. Great attention to detail, and amazing customers service. I'm still shocked LOL

I have been a Short Pump customer for many years. Recently I have had to rewash 3 sweaters that had a chemical smell and caused a rash around my neck. A sweater jacket that can only be dry cleaned had to be hung for 3 weeks in a bathroom for the same smell dissipated. Yesterday the line blouse was washed, the collar was not pressed, and none of the buttons were done so that it hung precariously on the hanger.

I have paid high prices for all of these items (even yesterday), and I am going to have to find a new cleaners. The manager (in a previous visit) did tell me that the smell was also in her pants and a customer's comforter that was ruined. Yet the "plant" denied making any changes. Sigh. Very sad for a Richmond institution.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service at this Puritan Cleaners. I dropped of multiple blouses and a sweater and asked for a rough estimate, I was given the $35-$40 range for what I had dropped off but they did not have a price list. Upon picking my items up it was $69 total for the items which is absolutely outrageous. I called when I got home as there was no receipt attached and I was curious about the itemization. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone who said they did not have a price list and that it was just what it cost. Disappointing and be taking my items elsewhere.

I have used Puritan cleaners at different times and locations throughout the city. This is now the closest one to me and by far, the best customer service oriented one for me. They greet all with a smile and a kind word. Even if they don't initially remember me by name, the welcome is sincere and not forced. Today I went in and out Tyler went the extra mile for me, offering solutions to a pricing issue.

Who does that today? Taking the extra time to recognize me as a valued customer and assisting in a major way! I didn't get the name of the other two associates but their smiles and genuine conversation was a wonderful ending to a tiresome day. Whatever training was given to this staff, at this location, should be implemented company wide. I truly appreciate the kindness extended to me. And yes, it's more than just dry cleaning. it's about building relationships. Thanks Tyler & staff.

Definitely not worth the money they charge. Avoid this cleaner or at least this location. Been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt for a couple of weeks but today I am done. First they lost a shirt and three weeks later still no resolution. I have the ticket that shows 18 items turned in and they returned 17. Had an employee tell me that they must have miscounted on my ticket, implying they didn't have the shirt.

But somehow I received a little found item bag with the rest of the clothes that had the cuff links off that shirt. I've dealt with three separate employees about this and the one today said their was nothing in my account about a lost shirt. Then today I get my clothes back and my shirts are on hangers. I travel a lot so I always get them folded, never on hangers.

Again another employee says that there are no preferences on your account. All the while another female employee is side eyeing me, not sure if about the situation or because I was calmingly expressing my frustration with the situation.

Puritan Cleaners is superb. The product, which is to say their clothing cleaning service, is beyond compare & their personnel and the service they provide is exemplary. Natisha gets an A++++ for friendly, helpful, courteous service. I could take advantage of the pick-up/delivery option, but it is such a pleasant experience going in to the store that I actually prefer making the stop. The reward of the friendly greeting and efficient service is worth the small effort of getting out of the car!

It was my first experience using Puritan and it was just great. Extremely fast cleaning and perfect starch on my shirts! Stuart was incredibly nice and helpful when I picked up my cleaning. He did a great job!

Really impressed with the courtesy and professionalism displayed by Chris at this location. I am headed out of town today as of 1 and had completely forgot about it as I had just put my suit and some dress shirts in the cleaners. I called to advise and see if anyway they could either stop the process or complete the cleaning and have it by 1 pm Friday (Do note I had put it in after 5 pm on Thursday) not only was he able to get it done but he handled it very professionally. 5 stars in my book Chris I hope management there sees what you bring to the table with going the extra mile and taking care of your customers.

Picked up some dress shirts and a quilt that had a stain on it was very pleased with the shirts and Stain out of the quilt. Puritan does a good job. I think the prices are very reasonable for what you get, you can try someplace that is cheaper but they may not do as well.

Overrated and Over priced. They do a decent job but are Very expensive and there are better Dry Cleaners that are cheaper!
