The Koshgarian team got its start many years ago in the wall-to-wall carpet cleaning business. During that time we developed a real expertise in the methods and techniques that are necessary to clean the highly durable nylon or Olefin carpet that is found in most homes and businesses. And, like most people, we were captivated by the beauty of Oriental and other fine area rugs that we saw in our customers' homes.
Mary and Mihron started this business over 100 years ago. I paid $425 for 8'x11'rug to be cleaned and deodorized. When I brought the rug home and unwrapped it the smell was so foul I decided to vacuum them to see if it would help. I was SHOCKED when I pulled out so much dirt of my "just cleaned rug" with my little vacuum (see pictures). I called and talk to owner but he didn't believe me but agreed to reclean and deodorize.
I wanted my money back so i could take it elsewhere. Mr Koshgarian additionally said he cannot guarantee clean fringe nor deodorizer even though they sell it! I brought my bags of dirt from the bagless vacuum to the store to prove my point that the job was not done. When I showed the salesmen, he could not explain. He said they have been very busy.
They said it might be lint but could not explain the amount of dirt and hair from my vacuum. They told me the dirt was not proof. (As if I'm not the first to complain) I would have brought the whole carpet but could not transport it myself. Mr Koshgarian came to the counter and was VERY confrontational and abusively put his workers on the spot. He aggressively called me names.
I expressed my frustration with VERY POOR QUALITY and wanting my money back because they were neither clean nor deodorized. I have had two neighbors come over to verify smell quality. One said it smells like a smelly locker room and other said it smell like vomit. They were also shocked with the LARGE AMOUNT of dirt that came out when I unwrapped it and fringe was only clean on one side of rug. Would love to give a ZERO rating. For $425 I expected a clean rug. They ruined a Karastan rug!

This was the first time using this service, but it will not be the last. I had a large indoor/outdoor carpet and 2 long runner rugs to clean. They were all too large for a regular washing machine so I contacted Koshgarian. From beginning to end I could not be happier with the customer service and the quality of the run cleaning. I recommend this service to anyone, very nice experience overall.

I have used Koshgarian for years and had always been pleased with their work. Although I recently brought in 8 cushions from porch furniture. When I picked the cushions up they were in hefty bags, my mistake that I didn't open them up to check them, and disappointing the staff did not say anything to me, but 1 cushion was a completely different color and had faded.
I called the store as soon as I got home, and was told to bring the cushion back in for them to see. I brought the cushion back in, was told the owner would look at it and call me. I waited over 2 weeks with no response from them at all. I went back in and was told the manager wasn't there. I spoke to someone who was showing me a picture of the cushion when it was originally brought in, they were trying to tell me it was more faded then the others, I couldn't see a big difference.
I'm not an unreasonable person and understand if a cushion had faded a bit but it doesn't explain the entire cushion being a different color, the other side of the cushion that was face down and all around the side that would be against the chair and not in the sun at all. Plus the fact that none of the other cushions faded from the sun? They were all in the same room with the same amount of sunlight and the back cushion on the same chair was fine!
I'm so disappointed in their lack of a response, I din't expect them to give me new cushions but I would expect them to address the issue and maybe refund the cleaning cost! Check their work before you leave their store and maybe think twice of a company who does not address customers concerns!

A few weeks back, I took my small area rug that had some stains including one that was about 7 inches in diameter. One week and $30 later, I got the rug back and it look like it hadn't been touched. Very disappointing considering I've been using this company for close to the past 18 years. What happened Koshgarian? I decided to reclean the rug with a different company that made house calls and was closer to my house, and within 10 minutes the rug looked incredibly better. Never again will I use Koshgarian.

They accommodated my tight schedule and came the next day which was great and the price was reasonable. The rugs look generally pretty good. There were a few spots in high traffic areas that we thought could have been taken care of a better. We did call back to report this the day after the cleaning but was never given a call back which was disappointing from customer service responsiveness.
We were able to take care of the few spots ourselves and the rugs look pretty good. I would use Koshgarian again but would qualify over the phone to make sure key spots are taken care of and will expect a prompt response back the next day if they are not.

We took our sheep skin rug per very high recommendations to this place. I was realistic that it is difficult to clean such a rug. When we picked it up and I saw our rug, I am more that disappointed. The rug is "fried" and as dirty as it was. Before cleaning it was silky and very soft. Moreover, I found additional dirt stains (looks like dirty shoes marks) on bottom surface. Adding one picture before cleaning and three pictures after.

They do a great job as far as rug cleaning Steve called and asked to keep my rug longer since he wasnt happy with how it turned out. That impressed me. The guys picking up and delivering were super nice! They came highly reccomended and i agree with that reccomendation. However i had a recent customer service issue but steve reached out to correct it.

We had seepage in our basement and were hoping for a reliable cleaner to dry and clean our oriental rug. When we called and emailed to set up an appointment for pick up they were unresponsive and it took several days for them to come and pick up the rug. They ended up charging almost $165 for pick up because the rug was wet but this was not disclosed when we made the appointment.
It was equally frustrating getting a date and time to deliver the rug back once it was cleaned. Lastly, our rug is dry but there is no evidence they were able to get the stains out from the water damage and this was never disclosed to us.

We brought two wool shag rugs to be cleaned before Thanksgiving. They were both filthy when they were returned to us. We took them to be cleaned again, and even the gentleman at the front said they should not have been sent home to us like that. They were cleaned again. One was slightly cleaner, but the second was even dirtier than before. It was. covered in all kinds of hair, big clumps of lint, debris, and even found some Christmas tree needles, and it smelled.
I wrote an e-mail requesting a refund, and Sonny said they could either be cleaned again or he would send me $35 dollars as a remedy. I sent him photos of how dirty the rugs were and declined another cleaning if you can't do it.

We were very pleased with the results of our carpet cleaning from Koshgarian Rug Cleaners. We recently moved to Naperville and we wanted the carpets cleaned to remove dirt and pet stains. Jesus and his team did a great job. They were professional, thorough and timely. The price was reasonable and the carpets look great!

I have used Koshgarian Cleaners for many years with medium satisfaction. I stopped taking an antique Kerman there as I thought the colors had run while at Koshgarian. Most recently I mistakenly took 2 older Turkish silk rugs. Both were beautiful but one was truly a work of art. I asked them carefully if they knew how to clean such things and. they assured me they did.
Unfortunately they are all but ruined. They were reduced from valuable artwork almost to rags. Their value and most of the beauty is gone. They scraped away the rich silken surface. The damage was immediately obvious. Of course they insisted this had nothing to do with this and summarily asked me to leave. So, for industrial cleaning they may do well. But if you love your beautiful woolen/silk art on the floor find a better place. Greg Cowell
