Maid in Chicago has been cleaning my office for about four years, and I cannot say enough about how great they are. They are professional, work around our schedule, and are even great with our office dog, Frankie. I can trust them to clean my office when I'm not there, and they are always thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. They even made custom hand towels with my business logo on them, and extras for Frankie the dog!

I have used this service quite a few times and have always been pleased with the work. Last week I engaged them to do "post construction" cleanup at my new condo after renovations and before move-in, and again i couldnt be happier with the results. This is a very professionally run business and the people are friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company.

Have been with the service for years and continue to be immensely impressed with their professionalism and skill. My house is always cleaned appropriately and efficiently and appreciate the stable work staff. I always know who is cleaning that day. If I ever have scheduling issues the office is quick to accommodate.

I started with Maid In Chicago a few months back when I needed an apartment cleaned after an especially messy tenant left. They showed up on time, brought their own supplies (makes my job a lot easier), and really turned around the apartment - it was completely and thoroughly cleaned. I continue to have excellent service whenever I need a cleaning after a tenant moves or just need my condo cleaned - Maid in Chicago provides consistent, high quality service.
There are some things I can see skimping on - Lasik surgery (c'mon, it's a laser and your eyeball - it's not rocket surgery!), dating services (what, you've never dated a fugitive before? It's like a mystery date but she runs out before the check comes!), but I am serious about who cleans my condo. Spend a little more, get a lot more!

Maid in Chicago is the BEST maid service - I trust them completely! Great attention to detail and extremely high customer service with scheduling and any particular needs. Maid in Chicago really goes above and beyond to make sure your specific needs are met. Sometimes my home is such a fiasco that when I return to my now sparkling tidy home I just well up with tears of gratitude.
We can rely on Maid in Chicago for truly outstanding help in every way - they are like family, honestly. Valerie takes great care to accommodate what we need, she's always helpful with any billing or schedule changes. So thankful to have such a trusted resource for all these years! They have literally transformed our lives for the better.

We used Maid in Chicago last summer when we had to clean out a relative's home after her death. I tried, at first, to clean years and years of sticky grease accumulation in the kitchen, breakfast area and butler's pantry, but to no avail. And I tried everything. Keep in mind, that that built-in grease was everywhere -- the counters, appliances, cabinets (inside and out).
Our realtor suggested Maid in Chicago. Well, they were just wonderful. The kitchen and appliances, which I spent days unsuccessfully trying to clean, took them very little time. Moreover, after they finished, the area was spotless. All that sticky grease was gone. More importantly, they did an excellent job on the rest of the house. Also, the two women who came were the nicest people, and they gave me some excellent cleaning tips. That, alone, was worth the price. I definitely plan to use them again.

Extremely disappointing, for 2 major reasons. Background: I was clear that I had a move in/move out situation with tenants who had been in the space for 4+ years; I specifically said that I wanted a "detailing" type job. I authorized an extra 4 hours during the work to get that result. First, the place was not remotely cleaned. There were many things in need of cleaning that were not touched; e.g., when I went into the kitchen and ran my finger over the microwave vent, it had not been touched and was disgustingly laden with a grease film.
Other areas were not finished - e.g., all of the bathroom surfaces either were not cleaned at all or were not wiped after application of whatever cleaner was used, resulting in a caked on film that I had to remove myself. The laundry room floor was not touched, completely filthy. Many other areas/surfaces with similar problems. Second, when I called to express my dissatisfaction to Val, the manager/proprietor(?), she was very concerned, indicated that the place should not have been left like that, wanted to talk to her crew to find out more and she would call me back. She never called back, but went ahead and billed my credit card for the full amount.

After my initial review I disputed this charge with my credit card company. During that whole process Maid in Chicago described my Yelp review and subsequent charge dispute as "condescending" and "insulting". They also went on about how I "let them" tear up my towels, how they actually did a good job, and how I wouldn't let them come back and clean the rest of my place.
This is all b.s. They also said that they recommend 6 hours to clean my size condo.what?!? Why wasn't I ever informed of this? When I called to request my condo be cleaned why did you tell me you could do it in 4 hours? I find YOUR actions insulting. And for anyone out there reading this, I found another cleaning lady that cleaned my ENTIRE condo, all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and everything for only $80.
She did twice as much as the girl from Maid in Chicago and cleaned it twice as good. Not to mention it only took her 3 hours and 20 minutes. Oh and she somehow managed to do all that without destroying any personal property.

Ms. Valerie, The fact that your response was not in the form of an apology shows that you & your employee Anthony don't get it. I stated to you via phone regarding my complaints/dissatisfaction and as a courtesy informed you that I would be writing a review on Yelp. Perhaps you forgot the facts and details of my complaint evidenced by your response one month later.
Your rebuttal was a gross exaggeration of the facts, please report the facts! The facts. I requested service for Friday, Monday was Memorial Day, a holiday on which businesses are closed, I called to complain early Tuesday morning. I waited because I was busy moving and your employee stated that he would come back on Saturday morning to re-clean my unit; he was a no call, no show.
Maybe he felt a little embarrassed because I declined his request for a date. If you recall, I emailed you the text conversation between myself and Anthony; I still have in case you forgot. I also waited for your employee, who arrived 1 and 1/2 hours late; my phone records indicate that I called you 3 times to inquire about the tardiness. My building also has a time stamp of when Anthony arrived.
Via phone or Yelp, I did not request financial reimbursement, all I wanted was to receive the services that I paid for. At no point did you offer to rectify the situation by having a different employee come out and properly clean my unit. Clearly professionalism and customer service are not part of your business model.

I think I've found my new cleaning service. We've just moved into a new home and used it as an opportunity to try out some new cleaning companies. Maid in Chicago was the third we tried in 6 weeks and by far the best and most thorough of the bunch. It's not the cheapest, not the most expensive but everything gets done and gets done well (at least it seems so based on our first cleaning). We'll be looking to set up weekly service. Thanks Maid in Chicago.

Take six months of benign neglect, three months of which were exacerbated by some aggressive tuck-pointing/sanding work by my next door neighbors, and my vestibule and hallways, both front and back, were an unwelcoming mess. the last time i had to tackle the three floors (x two), it took me about two hours, for a quick sweep and damp mopping, but the combination of sahara sand and cobwebby dustiness was too daunting for me to want to handle on my own. keith, from maid in chicago, showed up promptly at 1:30, armed with all manner of dirt fighting accoutrements, including a handy backpack vacuum resembling a ghostbusters inhaler, listened to my requests: "please make the mess go away, but you don't have to go crazy, it's just an entryway and back staircase", and i left him to his devices. during the following three hours he vacuumed, hand scrubbed all the stairs, because he said mops aren't effective in handling the corners of staircases, disappeared my cobwebs and dust, cleaned the windows, and cleaned and waxed the vestibule table and bench! one of my tenants wrote an extra note on her envelope yesterday, thanking me for the beautiful transformation! i said it was "only an entry hall, and only a back stairway" but i guess he realized those areas are just as important as the interiors, because he sure did his best in making them the welcoming areas they should have been all along! i mentioned my surprise about the negative review on her site, and valerie told me the whole story. lesson: don't believe everything you read, which i guess we already know from political campaigns, but when it comes to bad press, it also affects small businesses. from the way they approached my job, i say the proof is in their attention to their craft, and the fairness of their prices for the quality of their performance.

I would be very careful with Maid in Chicago. They attempted an unauthorized transaction with my debit card. When I asked the president Valarie, if she would reverse the charge because it was not authorized she told me that she could not. What vendor do you know at any establishment that can not reverse a charge especially if it was not authorized.
After going to my bank to dispute the charge, they let me know that this is considered fraud and I should enlist the help of the police. Not a company I will ever do business with again!
