Definitely take your clothing elsewhere if it is of any value. A pair of linen shorts were retuned with the elastic waist ripped and unwearable. They "fixed" then and returned with a new elastic band along with new ripped/torn fabric along the waist. It's baffling how they could send them back in this state. They offered to fix again but never came to pick up as promised.
Expensive silk dresses returned with the fabric altered in appearance. Items hung with sharp edges that dug small holes into fabric. I rarely write reviews but feel the need to warn others that clothes will likely be damaged and this cleaner is not worth the risk.

I have used both the Edgewater and Skokie hubs for Greener Cleaner and have yet to have a bad experience. I love that I don't walk in and smell dry cleaning fluid. I love their eco-friendly model, their friendly customer service, and the fact that in bad driving weather or in a pinch I can get my items delivered. They have cleaned everything from suits to blankets and comforters for me, and their tailors have altered or repaired several items. It's like having a small-town cleaner in the big city!

After out cat was sick on our comforter my wife took it to a regular coin laundry and unfortunately some black rubber stains transferred onto it, disaster after all its pure white We tried everything and nothing worked so we brought here. Thank you for sorting out nightmare. Despite being advised they did the best they could we don't see any marks and the comforter is restored to glory. Also worth mentioning they give eta of Thursday and it wa ready Tuesday afternoon. Amazing work, thank you

Oh yes this company employs people who are psychotic. I have footage of a driver from this company not only brake checking but he actually tried to hit my car when I went around. The stupidity of people to do illegal crap when the business they WORK for is literally all over the car. I mean if this driver is that reckless god only knows what else he does.
Owner is MIA. I called them. No response. So I am putting the video all over social media. Owner? You really are being stupid. I am calling the police to file a complaint with that driver. License plate number- N15 4943

I've been using Greener Cleaner for wash and fold service and couldn't be happier. I live in a high-rise, so laundry day means lots of up and down and waiting for an elevator. They pick up/drop off my laundry right to my door. Plus, I don't even have to be home. Everything is done through the website/app, so I can view or edit orders. Oh, and the laundry comes back looking and smelling great and expertly folded; even fitted sheets! Highly Recommend.

I was using greener cleaner for about six months for their wash and fold services. During my time using them, nearly every single order came back with someone else's random T-shirt, underwear, etc. Many of the times my clothing would not be clean when returned to me. My last order was the absolute worst. Seven (7) pairs of my lululemon leggings, a $100 designer face mask, a $150 track jacket, among other items were never returned to me.
I contacted the owner who let me know that they do not take inventory only the weight of the clothing you bring in. Your laundry is then thrown in with everyone else's and someone goes through and picks what they assume is yours. It's funny to me that my Walmart sweatshirts all made it home, but around a thousand dollars of recognizable brand clothing did not. The owner has offered me $150 or $300 in services. I asked for the check.

First of all if you go on to The Greener cleaners website you'll see, (if they haven't taking it down yet, thank God I've taken screenshots for the attorneys) they ask you how you want each and every individual item cleaned. After taking 3 hours out of my busy day I wrote down instructions for all of my wash. Not rocket science whites get hot water, bleach, and a snuggly softener in the dryer.
This would include Sox t-shirts sheets and towels. On the other hand clothes that were darker in color would receive tide, cool water and a Snuggly in the dryer Finally and most importantly I put all fleece items which were a robe and a pair of pajamas must be washed separately as it says so on the cleaning instructions that are sewn into the garments.
And because these are brand-new I emphasized it. But despite that I got my laundry back after paying $66 and everything I had sent them was destroyed. The 12 pair of new socks I had all were full of NUBS, and were pitch black on the bottom. My white t-shirts were all stained from copious amounts of beverages I dropped on them since I have MS. Everything else that was white, including my towels were terribly stained, nothing looked clean or remotely clean.
It looked just like it had been folded. My box of snuggle never came back to me. Fast forward to a week after getting this bag of ruined clothing. I telephoned for the 10th time hoping not to get voicemail again and to my surprise I was answered by an Hispanic women. I explained to her nothing was cleaned, not even close to my satisfaction. It all looked as if it wasn't washed it all. That's when she told me, " we don't follow your instructions, we just take whatever is in your bag and throw it directly from your bag into the washer.
I said are you kidding me? You don't even separate things? NO, she said again, " are you not listening to me"? We just take them from the bag and throw them directly into the washer. Well I want my 66 fucking dollars back. These clowns couldn't do wash if they were given a manual, which is what is so GD hysterical that's exactly what I gave them.
Now every one of my socks, all of my hundred dollar t-shirts have NUBS on them. Now rags. Avoid this wash and fold service place like the plague, they are. A bunch of numbnuts. Oh and I forgot to tell you, I WAS TOLD BY THE OWNER, (AND THE HISPANIC WOMAN) they NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE HOT WATER ONLY COLD. So that exercise where they had me fill out how to take care of all of my clothing was just that an exercise for me because for them it was bullshit.
They had no intention of washing anything the way I had asked them to wash either by email or by written instructions included in my laundry. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else and I wouldn't even give them one star but it's a prerequisite on this site.

I take my laundry in for their wash and fold service and I'm very happy with them. What's imperative to me is the absence of perfumes or extra chemicals in my laundry and they give me clean, perfectly-folded, eco and allergy-friendly, neatly-packed bags every time. Luz is smart and very good at her job. She's friendly, thorough, fast and conscientious; a person who takes care to listen to my concerns and requests, she always finds a way to make my experience great. So worth the money! I'm really glad to have found this place and their excellent employees!

I have been a loyal customer for years. The service has been hit or miss and I've had some clothes ruined - but put up with it for the convenience. This week I placed an order because I'm headed out of town next week. They no-showed and never responded to calls, texts, and emails. When I reached out to them, they claimed to have emailed me the next day, but they didn't and there is no e-mail they can show me that they tried.
When I eventually reached them on the phone they said they finished early the evening I placed my order and went home early - and the owner forgot to turn off the incoming orders. While I understand people make mistakes, I don't understand a system that has a phone, text and e-mail support system that they failed to respond to. That's really bad customer service. Fortunately, I was able to find a same day dry cleaner who helped me out (and won over my business with great customer service). And they are green too. They also know how to provide top notch customer service.
When I eventually reached them on the phone they said they finished early the evening I placed my order and went home early - and the owner forgot to turn off the incoming orders. While I understand people make mistakes, I don't understand a system that has a phone, text and e-mail support system that they failed to respond to. That's really bad customer service. Fortunately, I was able to find a same day dry cleaner who helped me out (and won over my business with great customer service). And they are green too. We love Greener Cleaner and have been a weekly customer for 5 years. They are very reasonably priced compared to walk-in dry cleaning services--and astronomically cheaper than other pick-up services like Davis Imperial, for (in my opinion) the same standard of quality. I trust them with my favorite suits and shirts, and they come back sparkling every time. Great customer service, and great service!

I am very impressed so far, this company takes the dry cleaning business to a whole new level. First time customer here, they had my coat cleaned & delivered within 48hrs. Love that they use a eco-friendly cleaning solution, provide a reusable/convertible laundry bag AND give mobile alerts! Great service so far!

This company - while once very good - has obviously become simply awful at customer service as it has grown. Collections in my Park Ridge neighborhood have been moved to so early in the morning that 'Ana' has sent me a text suggesting I leave my rather expensive tailored suits and shirts (bespoke) out OVERNIGHT to accommodate their schedule. Seriously? 8am is just WAY too unacceptable to them - so I should allow my expensive clothing to sit outside overnight?
I think not. Mike the owner contacted me after my negative comments on the Facebook page. Not a pleasant conversation despite my being a long term customer. Now - once they get the clothing they do a nice job. No question about that. But I am simply not going to use them any more because the pickup / delivery - along with really hostile interactions with the owner and employees that are unacceptable to me as a paying customer.
I honestly think not every customer and business is a good match. And that's OK. But I think these folks have forgotten that they are the vendor and I'm the customer. I'm not here to serve them. I'm sorry I recommended them to my neighbors. Again - once really good. Now, not very good.

Disappointed. I told the driver when he arrived for pick up that my bag was ripped and I needed a new one. I got the same bag back. Most of the stains are still there on several items. And worst of all, they smell so badly of dry cleaning fluid they're making me sick. I have had all my items hanging in my bathroom with the window open for the past 3 days.
Every time I go in there I start coughing. It's not going away. I have used them in the past, but I think this might be the last time. I chose them because they're supposed to be green. There shouldn't be a toxic smell. From what I've read, the smell comes from dirty filters. Not sure when I'll be able to wear any of those clothes again.
Really upset. UPDATE: Mike, the owner called to have all my stuff redone at no charge. He was kind and gracious and definitely wants to keep up his good name! Very impressed and grateful for the above and beyond personalized service.

Don't come here for alterations. They ruined my Tory Burch dress when all they had to do was a simple hem. They clearly did not measure because: 1. Some parts of the lining were a half inch longer than other parts 2. The outer skirt was 2" longer on the left side than the right 3. The lining was longer than the outer skirt in some places causing the lining to show This cost $40.
I took it back to be corrected, which they did for free. However all they did was cut the lining significantly shorter -- 3" shorter. Now the dress is still uneven and the lining is too short. Completely ruined the dress. The pictures are from before they "fixed" it the second time.

I really love Greener Cleaner! They saved my whole summer, and they save me from rolling around in months-old dirty sheets because I'm too lazy to wash them. They make me smell better! Ramiro does a fantastic job, consistently professional and always so nice! He's a lifesaver and works hard every day! He's works really hard to accommodate my schedule and I appreciate everything he does!
Real talk though: when it's hard to get out of bed, because you don't feel very good, having freshly cleaned clothes show up for you when you need them is so effective for helping to get you motivated again. I am so grateful for these folks, and they're so nice every time!
