Found this gem completely by accident, I had a last minute situation where a button had come off my blazer prior to a client meeting and the manager John was very helpful. he provided a quote without hesitation and Kim assisted in an efficient and effective job adhering the button back on. my blazer looks as good as new, you couldn't even tell that the tailoring was done. color match (it's all in the details!) was on point (lighter navy shade) and I was in and out of the cleaners and back to work immediately - honestly, I would highly recommend this dry cleaners and their tailoring services to anyone! their work speaks for itself and I am that so relieved and appreciative for their services. thank you fancy cleaners!

My place! Nicest staff. Great alterations. Turned around a complicated alteration in record time, no problem.

Had to get a suit tailored in 24 hrs and not only did they get it done they did a fantastic job. They actually have a huge hidden room for tailoring in the back. Absolutely recommend

I turned to Fancy for my formal wear, especially tuxedo shirts, which tend to be hard to clean properly and sometimes yellow. Those shirts are expensive and I was willing to pay extra for good service. I tried the well-known premium cleaners, Madam Paulette and Meurice, but found their service to be uneven and their prices not just high but inconsistent.

The same item would be one price one month, another price the next: up, down, you never knew. A friend recommended Fancy and at first I liked them a lot. I started sending them all my better clothes, with only everyday shirts going to the local neighborhood place. I got good service for several years. Then more recently a shirt came back that had been very comfortable, even a little loose on me.

Now it was tight. I wondered if I might have put on a couple pounds, and thought nothing more of it. Then it happened again a few months later. I realize cotton shirts can shrink quite a bit but it wasn't happening with brand new shirts, these were pieces that had been laundered before. It even happened with a dark shirt that was always dry-cleaned.

I didn't even know that was possible! Perhaps there was too much heat in the pressing, I wondered. Finally, a few months ago I sent off some shirts, and measured the collars with a yardstick before and after. Sure enough, they'd shrunk. I visited Fancy in person to discuss the issue, and didn't find them very responsive. I explained that it wasn't a one-time thing but that it differed from my earlier experience with them.

I asked if they'd changed any processes and generally made it clear I wanted to solve the problem for the future, but they just brushed it off. I was very disappointed to have some beautiful shirts shrunken, and also that the shop wouldn't evidence more concern. I'm trying Alpian's now. I really want to find a dry cleaner I can trust. This review applies only to this branch, but I believe that all five of their locations send the clothes to the same facility on Long Island for cleaning.

I came here on the desperation of altering a beautiful dress for a wedding that was within two weeks. Bloomingdales recommended an tailorist but didnt have the exact information. Therefore I just did a search for a tailorist and came upon this company. Basically, it is a dry cleaning service/store that houses or works with a tailorist. At first of course, I was a bit apprehensive because anybody who is new to me is like taking a risk.

I wasnt too sure if she was a regular tailorist that just does the basic tailoiring (hemming of pants, skirts) or someone who knows a person's body and will tell you "you need to take this in becuase of A, B, and C". But when I put on the dress, she immediately saw what needed to be hemmed and what needed to be taken in (like the body). She also explained to me that for my height (5'2), a long skirt over the knees but hitting above the shins is not a good look and showed me the different types of lengths that my body type can sport.

So after altering the dress and wearing it to the wedding, she did a great job. So i knew that this would be my tailorist to-go-to. So after performing some more dress alterations and pants hem, I wanted to test her knowledge about jean altering. I had my jeans altered by Madam Paulette with using the original hem. So I had wanted to see if she was able to do this. Once I told her that i wanted original hem, she did it for a lesser price compared to Madam Paulette. So if you ever need anything tailored and cleaned, go to these people.
