I am a recent transplant to Mobile from Washington D.C., and boy is it hard to find a reasonable, reliable cleaning service. Two gals and a mop claims to have the cheapest prices in town, but I paid almost double what I paid in D.C. for a move-out clean, even though salaries are much much higher in D.C. One and a half hours of service for three people is $220 -- that's almost a quarter of a thousand dollars -- and they charge per unit time, not for getting the job done. Prices and level of service with Maids a la Mode of Mobile are similar, but they at least charge for the job and size of the house, not by hour. As for the cleaning, it was ok -- nothing spectacular.
