Cleaning Genie

We have used Cleaning Genie services for almost two years.once a month.to clean home.we use the same pair of friendly, thorough, ladies.they do three bedrooms, two bath home in just over an hour, and we have been very pleased with their work.

We contacted Cleaning Genie to help us with our deep clean after we sold/moved out of our home, to prepare for the new owners arrival. Tony (the owner) came to make a detailed list and note everything that we expected from their company. He was very friendly, personable, and thorough. Since the home was vacant, we gave them the green light to come and go as they needed.

I popped in on them at one point, the cleaning lady was also very friendly and personable, as well. They worked very efficiently and left nothing off the list! I will hire them again, and would recommend them to anyone seeking out these types of services.

I hired them to clean my parents home. Today was the scheduled cleaning. I'm their daughter watching over them, my Mom is 88 And my Dad is 90. I wanted the owner to come Look at their home, he said they charge 70.00 Per hour. He rushed through the house, handed Me a paper to check off what needed to be cleaned. His name was TONY - the owner Of the company.

I said please set this up for August 31st- I will give you a try. I spent all day Yesterday cleaning all clutter, so that they could Easily clean. Today I was awaiting them at 8:30 No show! Called the office- WE WERE NOT EVEN ON THE LIST! He through his rush Thru - put it To SEPTEMBER 31-THAT DATE DOES NOT EXIST! After several calls, he refused to call Me- THIS IS THE OWNER!

He said I was to Angry with the scheduler, and when I said I was Going to post my experience on my neighborhood app - I was told they were not Interested in my business ever again. They Never cleaned for me. But the lack of the owner Contacting me, and leaving me STRANDED! I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE- THIS IS A CASH GRAB COMPANY THAT IS ONLY BEHOLDEN TO THEMSELVES! BEWARE SENIORS!

In 2005 I chose this company because of their flexibility. They did not tell me what they would and would not do. They presented me with a detailed checklist for me to communicate with the workers what I wished to have done each time. Nothing that I wanted accomplished was off limits. I liked that. Communications with the office are easy. The office staff is friendly.

The cleaning staff is thorough. As I watch them clean, I think to myself, "Boy, they are really good." I like supporting a local business, especially one with a high BBB rating. In the rare instance that something is wrong, they make it right. An unqualified YES to this company.

I have had Cleaning Genie now for almost 4 years. They are GREAT. I mostly have the same two women and they are thorough, careful, and very respectful. My house looks great when they leave. This is a really good service. Service: Standard cleaning

We got taken to the cleaners by these crooks. My wife and I moved from our condo on Saturday to our new home. We thought we would do the right thing and have the condo we were renting cleaned for our old landlord. The Cleaning Genie quoted us at $70 a hour for 2 women to clean our 1,400 square foot condo. It took them 6 hours? Are you freaking kidding me?

Of course we were not there so it is their word we are going on. When I questioned them for details as to what took so long, they beat around the bush and made excuses about our fridge shelves. We will not be using their services again. Unbelievable.

Horrible job. Rushed cleanings, false advertising, they have barely any clients. Will tell you you're getting paid at full time and will text you a hour before a shift on any day, randomly. Jenalle is extremely rude so good luck getting past the phone with them or calling to follow up on a application. Very understanding person, rarely gets upset and I am extremely upset with this company. Bunch of old miserable people, good luck passing along that business successfully! HA

Don't waste your money! Terrible experience with this company. At $60/hr feel like I was robbed. Like others have stated the owner was initially very nice and came to my home to explain services. I scheduled cleaning every 2 weeks. I stayed home the first appointment and it was okay but certainly not to my basic cleaning expectations. I decided to give them another shot and from here all went downhill.

It was another month before they were able to show up at my house again. Terrible communication within this company. No shows (didn't have me on the schedule); cancelled appointments (lots of call offs and didn't have the manpower to make it to my house). Manager extremely rude and unapologetic. Owner called personally to apologize and reschedule and assured me his girls would call to confirm next appointment and arrival time.

That never happened so I left my home an hour after scheduled time thinking another no show. Arrived back home 2 hours later and the crew was apparently there and gone. Aside from a floor still being wet in laundry room and my 120.00 check gone would have otherwise never known they were there. Left their check sheet what I wanted cleaned in each room but NOTHING done.

I taught my children to clean better than this at 5 years old. Called to leave message I was cancelling all further appointments and briefly stated my disappointments but NO call back from anyone. Very poorly run and managed company. Obviously very unmotivated and unhappy cleaning team who quit and call off frequently. Don't waste your $$$. Find anyone else to clean your home!

This was my first experience with Cleaning Genie and was very satisfied. The girls called in advance and arrived on time. They were friendly, professional, worked quickly yet thoroughly. I love having a clean house that smells good too! Highly recommend!

I called this company and had two ladies come out. They did an excellent job of cleaning. However, trying to reschedule for them to come out again was too much work on my part. The girls came out and, once again did great cleaning. After their last cleaning, I called to schedule monthly appointments ahead of time. Their receptionist said she would get back to me for scheduling.

Not only did she NOT get back to me, as Anita Crane stated in her review, below, I received a letter from the company telling me they could no longer accommodate me as a client. I was very puzzled by this, as they stated they will do monthly cleanings. I emailed the owners to ask what happened. They told me I don't get to pick the times, or the days for their girls to come clean. REALLY?

For $57.00 an hour? Well, things worked out in the end. I have the BEST housekeeper, who does much more than most and charges much less. Also, she comes on the days and times that I want her! Cleaning Genie Staff needs to be more organized and friendlier. What a disappointment.

We are moving out of the area and wanted to leave our house nice and clean for the new owners. Well, I shouldn't have called The Cleaning Genie. Our closing was scheduled for 11 am and I specifically asked to be the first clean for their day so they would be done by 11. The ladies didn't get there until 11:30 to start and then they tried to tell me that 2 ladies were only able to clean the kitchen in the 2 hours I paid for.

There was nothing left in the house! All they had to do was wipe out the drawers and empty cabinets and wipe down frig. Seriously! Maybe the cleaning ladies do good work, but they move at a snails pace and wanted 2 more hours to finish the rest of the house. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have had cleaning services many times and this was the first and last time I will use The Cleaning Genie. Do yourself a favor and safe yourself some money and look elsewhere for cleaning services.

Great locally owned and operated company. They help my mom with cleaning a couple of times a month - really nice staff who do good work. They show up on time, no schedule changes, work quality is good and consistent. Price is better than most, a very good value. We checked out other options in the area including some higher priced companies before finding Cleaning Genie. Sooo glad we gave them a try

Several years ago I had to look for a new cleaning service when my old crew retired. In addition to the normal vacuuming and cleaning, I needed someone to wash my clothes, change the bed, etc. I spoke to several services, but Cleaning Genie was the ONLY one that would do this. Cleaning Genie charges me by the hour. All the rest wanted to charge me a fixed rate, send in a large crew, do only the basics, and get in and out quickly.

They could not guarantee that I would get the same crew each time, which meant I would have to explain my needs to each different crew. I have had the SAME two ladies from Cleaning Genie ever since I started. They know what to do. If there is something special needed that visit, they will do it. I could not ask for a better service. Thorough, flexible and prompt.

Bizarre experience, do not recommend Like another commenter said, the owner was very nice. At first. Until we got an unexpected letter in the mail, firing us as customers because we'd had to cancel an appointment. The letter said we'd given no notice, when we absolutely did. We'd called Tony to cancel, and he apparently didn't pass the message on to the cleaning crew, because they called at the appointment time asking to be let in.

We rescheduled, had the cleaning done, everything seemed fine, and then 3 weeks later we got this break-up letter. When my husband called to clear up any misunderstanding, Tony cravenly declined to return the message. So we have to move on with no good explanation. Save yourself the time and effort of researching and interviewing cleaning companies, and go with someone else in town. Update: we've been happy now for several months with The Maids of Toledo

Tony (co-owner) came to my home to provide an estimate for cleaning smoke damage. He arrived on time and even called me from the road to advise that he might be a few minutes late due to traffic. Tony was very helpful and suggested we contact our insurance company as the work to be completed would most probably be covered under our homeowner's policy (he was aware that his company would probably not be contracted to perform the cleaning but he put our needs over gaining our business).

We did contact our insurance company and ended up using the company they had already approved. But, in the event we ever need cleaning help again, I would not hesitate to contact The Cleaning Genie. They were professional from start to finish and it was pleasure doing business with them (to the extent that we did anyway). Thank you Tony for your suggestions as they were very helpful.
