Used this company previously. No issues. This time, very unprofessional. Waited10 days to have rugs picked up, called to let know to pick the rugs up by a certain time wedding to go to. She said she would get back to me. No call back. Note on the door saying 4:15 we tried to pick up rug. Called to have the rugs picked on Saturday. No trucks. How about Monday she said. Nope sorry going away. Not even, I apologize, nothing! Or, let me see what we can do. I guess when you receive 5 stars, you don't care about one customer. So, so unprofessional.

The team that came to my house was awesome! They steam cleaned porous tile and did an incredible job. The floors look better today than when we moved in post construction! Would highly recommend them!

This was my first time ever getting a rug cleaned and after doing some research I found Wells Rug with great reviews so I decided to go there. After waiting 2 weeks for the rug to get cleaned (totally fine), I came home to unravel a crusty white, stained (dried up detergent) rug. It appeared that they missed a step and totally didn't rinse the rug after washing and they just let it dry.

I called the place and they happily asked me to come in to fix the problem. I was impressed with their willingness to correct the issue. I was excited to bring home the rug the second time around but to my surprise my rug now had plenty of faint yellow stains on it. The rug is ivory and silver, so very noticeable. I didn't bother calling this time as I just don't want the rug to be further ruined.

While the crusty detergent is gone, I now have a yellow stained rug on one side. Not the greatest experience but giving 3 stars for accepting the rug to get it fixed the first time.

Getting rug cleaned and deodorized. Repeat customer because of great service and quality of work.

I had 15 area rugs cleaned, both wool and silk. The silk ones had been purchased in Iran, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan, so they are high quality and irreplaceable. The men who picked up the rugs were efficient and professional. And I was soooo pleased with the cleaning! The colors are much more vibrant. And they also repaired cat inflicted rug pulls. Delivery in one week, again professional. I am very pleased with Wells and will definitely use them again.

Cleaned our rug on time and cost less than we expected. Awkward access to the driveway and drop off spot, however.

Would have given them a zero if I could. Cleaned my rug and ruined it. When I had them come out to look at it. They basically said I was lying and told me I had to prove to them the rug was ruined by them. Ask them how I would do that. The rug was clearly damaged it was stretched and the rug that had multiple patterns and colors was turned into a simple brown rug.

I asked what they were going. To good about it and they said nothing. We clean thousands of rugs and you ruined rug is not going to change that. Don't use them and if you do take pictures of your rug before you do. Absolutely horrible experience ruined an 8000 dollar rug and could not care less

Used this company to clean an area rug after moving. DO NOT use this company. They ruined the rug and took absolutely no responsibility for it I picked them as they sAid they have experience cleaning expensive rugs and they totally ruined it. When I approached them about ruining the rug and their response is I needed to prove to them they ruined it.

What a joke I told them to just look at it. It looks nothing like the rug they took from the house. It was stretched and the pattern and colors were gone. His response was basically we clean 1000 of rugs for years so my ruined rug would not hurt their business at all. Please do not use this company. I wish I could give Zero. The people that work there don't care

Amazing service, amazing work and pricing is very very fair! needed an area rug cut down, I could not find anyone to do the work -was told about Wells so happy to have found them! In 1 week my carpet was cut, the edge was refinished and it was cleaned! They are wonderful!

Just brought in my 14 year old Oriental rug to be cleaned. I am shocked how Gorgeous it looks. Totally brought it back to life. Very very happy with Wells and the ladies behind the front desk.

This was a terrible experience I had several years ago, so they may have improved since then. When I first moved to this area, I heard they were the best with expensive rugs, and they did a good job on a modern Chinese area rug I brought to them in the '90's. However 12 years later, after I brought it back for re-cleaning and was coming in to pick it up, I was horrified to observe a worker using a heavy rotating brush floor machine to SCRUB a beautiful rug, and when I picked up my own rug and got it home, I saw that the entire pile had been scrubbed down practically to nothing. I of course have never used them again.

We purchased a beautiful vintage rug from Iran. We decided we wanted to clean it before letting our son play on it. The rug came back warped. The fine fibers of the rug felt like they had been through a washing machine. The colors were no longer vibrant. In some small places, the colors bled into each other. It's clearly abnormal to get a rug back in this condition.

The dealer had it cleaned some years ago before selling it to us - and it looked fantastic. We thought Wells would be able to do as good of a job. We were wrong. If you're cleaning something valuable, this is not the place.

Took in 6 well-used rugs including several hand-knotted pieces. Ab Fab! They were returned more beautiful than the day they were born! The kitchen rug was so clean you could eat off it! Our 95lb puppy can do no harm -- as long as we have Wells Rug Service! Been extremely satisfied for over a decade and a dozen rugs!

I would highly recommend Wells Rug for cleaning of area rugs. I had a heritage handmade wool rag rug and old dhurri rug cleaned and they came out as good as new. I did have an issue with the binding service I received for each rug due to lack of explanation about what and how the process of binding would effect the rugs.make sure you ask questions.

We just had a large antique rug cleaned by Wells and a pad made for it. The combined price was nearly $1,000, which seemed like a premium price. Although in the past they seemed to do a good job, this time the fringe came back damaged. They claimed that they noted the damage before they started cleaning the rug, but they didn't contact us to ask if we wanted it repaired (which they did on the last antique rug we had cleaned).

They agreed to fix the damage, but when it was delivered I noted that the new fringe was a different color than the existing fringe. The delivery person started arguing about the damage and that we should be happy that it was done for free. He accused us of dropping off a damaged rug, notwithstanding that we had a photograph of the exact area in question taken days before dropping the carpet off with them that showed the fringe intact.

The delivery person was the most disrespectful delivery person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We will not be entrusting any rugs, valuable or otherwise, to this company in the future.

The best place in NJ for rug cleaning or repairs. Been here for years and you can see why. Service is fast and they do a great job.

Wow, Wells did a great job cleaning my Berber carpeting. It was so dirty from remodeling projects and after they were done it looked like new carpeting had been installed. And the service was polite and efficient.

Cleaned a 3x6 foot reproduction oriental carpet for about $20 that I dropped off and picked up again, that's just over a buck a square foot and it took a week. Wells Rug Service is A-OK with me, three stars for service that was exactly as expected. Other services: they'll clean wall-to-wall carpet in your home. Sell rugs here too, there's a small but well-stocked showroom.

Only caveat - their building is squeezed into a tiny lot on Bank Street with four (count 'em, 4) parking spaces in back. Making the turn in can be tricky, getting out again is even worse. Leave the urban assault vehicle at home! :)

When we moved here in 2005 we were SO happy to find Wells. They are terrific cleaners, reasonable and courteous. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
