Services
Disaster Restorations' goal is to get your property back together for you as soon as possible. Our first priority is to limit further loss and damage. Our second priority is to hasten THOROUGH drying of structure and contents to help prevent mold. We will try to minimize disturbance to you, however some inconvenience may be inevitable.
The following Emergency Tips were compiled by members of the National Institute of Fire Restoration and are based on their wide experience in this field. It is not likely that you will require all the procedures listed, so examine your situation and use those steps which common sense dictates. The National Institute of Fire Restoration contractor in your area is a good person to know - and a good company to rely upon.
The first rule in mold removal (remediation) is to not spread the toxic mold bodies or toxic spores, all mold must be contained so as to not contaminate unaffected portions of the structure. The proper way to deal with mold removes all mold and toxins, whether alive, dormant or dead. Mold remediation requires specialized equipment and training to properly contain and prevent the spread of microscopic mold contamination particles. Safe remediation of mold is much more involved than "tear it out and put in new."
