House dust mites are microscopic bugs that primarily live on dead skin cells regularly shed from humans and their animal pets. Dust mites are harmless to most people. They don't carry diseases, but they can cause allergic reactions in asthmatics and others who are allergic to their feces. Skin cells and scales, commonly called dander, are often concentrated in lounging areas, mattresses, frequently used furniture and associated carpeted areas, often harbor large numbers of these microscopic mites.Since the average human sloughs off 1/3 ounce (10 grams) of dead skin a week.
If you decide to clean your recliner yourself, first keep in mind that you do not want to get the fabric too wet. Although it may seem that more water will allow you to remove more stains, the moisture is in fact your fabric's worst enemy. Try to presoak the stains with a fabric cleaner (as mild as possible) before actually putting any water on the fabric.

I have used AmeriClean for several years now for carpet cleaning and am always impressed with their service. They are professional, polite, on time and always do an amazing job. Michael is very good about explaining what they are doing. For a first-time upholstery cleaning he explained the process before beginning and even showed me the before/after on a cushion so I could see the difference. Absolutely AMAZING cleaning and service. I live in a very old apartment with a carpet that has been cleaned by multiple other cleaning companies that all claimed the years-old stains would never come out. There were stains and dirt all throughout the white carpet - enough so that it no longer looked white. We found this company through a neighbor who recommended them, and we're so grateful that we did!
Two men spent nearly 6 hours deep-cleaning our carpet with multiple heavy-duty tools and even moved all of our furniture to make sure to hit every spot (something that the other companies refused to do)! The customer service was fantastic and so thorough that they managed to make our decades-old carpet look BRAND NEW! Beyond happy with their service, 10/10 would recommend. PS: the attached picture only shows a fraction of how bad the carpets were before cleaning - sadly we forgot to get pictures until after most of the work was done.

They were so pleasant and really went out of their way to help me. The carpet cleaning they did was very unique! I have had other companies in the past just do the spray cleaning, but Americlean actually scrubs the carpet BEFORE the spray cleaning! My mom always told me you have to put a little elbow in it to get the bad stains out. Obviously they feel the same way.
