GFS BUILDING MAINTENANCE, INC. was founded in 1964 as GENERAL FLOOR SERVICE, INC., a professional Building Service Contractor dedicated to serving all types of business in the New England area, and, beginning in 1990, in Florida as well. The area of coverage has expanded over time, and GFS currently provides service in ten states along the eastern seaboard.

The definition of quality control at GFS Building Maintenance, Inc is the mechanism used to evaluate and regulate building maintenance standards under any given set of specifications. Quality control has meant implementing the necessary controls: Controls of procedures, product knowledge, equipment, and standard practices that ensure the delivered service product meets and in most cases exceeds the contract specifications. All GFS Maintenance Programs are designed to instill confidence that our services meet contractual requirements.

GFS Building Mainteance provides janitorial services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, assigning crews based on the individual needs of each client. Should an emergency arise outside of the times of coverage, GFS guarantees immediate response to its clients' special needs. The client receives a list of local GFS management that includes home phone numbers and cell phone numbers.
