The BBB of Greater East Tennessee, is a tremendous resource for businesses and consumers. I use their website regularly to check out businesses BBB rating before doing business with them. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB about a business, and soon after filing the complaint, the business contacted me and addressed my complaint.

The BBB has vastly improved their business services to include items not even thought of a few years ago. The BBB brand is not just a sticker on a door or a plaque on a wall. Services that are unique are web monitoring for discrepancies in website data, reports of faulty links, and multiple social meeting tracking technologies. The BBB has had an increased media presence in the last few years which has also helped validate the brand. The BBB is a relationship every legitimate business should have.

The BBB has helped multiple people I know settle disputes with local companies and get answers when these customers couldn't. I also appreciate that they promote ethical business practices to our local businesses and young people alike via the news and social media and try and warn consumers about scams happening.

Cabins USA in Pigeon Forge. We rented Bear Necessity cabin in Pigeon Forge. UPON check in and reviewing directions I realized they had us booked in Two Cubs Den. I WENT back in to the office telling the clerk we had information on the wrong cabin. I was informed that they had moved us. HE didn't know why, they said they emailed me end of June of the change.
I NEVER got the email. He couldn't help me with the situation. We always get a cabin with a hot tub and mountain view, which Bear Necessity had. I called the main office which their phone number was given to me. I spoke with a female, I believe named Celeste, and was told the owners pulled Bear Necessity off rental market. So they moved us to Two Cubs Den, which had no hot tub.
She could get me into another cabin but not until 8/9 and we would still have to stay in Two Cubs Den until then. The only other option she had was a 13 bedroom place which would cost us more money. I spoke to my family (4 of us total) and gave them options given. We decided to stay at Two Cubs Den as options were few. UPON arrival to Two Cubs Den and walking into the cabin a strong musty smell hit us.
The upstairs bathroom had a sewer smell. NO kitchen cabinetswith doors or drawers, , garbage stored in the pantry which is where silverware is stored, cables draping down over, in front of gas fireplace and cable underneath the gas log insert, box to cable was placed on upside down flower pot, sofa has light stains or wear marks, Two chairs had rips and stains on the back, bugs all over, dust so thick it was white on all wood work, mouse dropping in corners all over the cabin, dryer vent tubing exposed, upstairs shower has mold all around outside and inside of it with bugs coming out of the corner near floor. Blankets had musty smell.
Deck lattice is in disrepair with rotting deck boards, back deck ceiling had gaping hole. Liter. View from front deck was of the road, back deck view was directly into hillside. The rain gutters are full and separating from roof. Cobwebs, leaves, bugs all along gutters. Obviously this was not cleaned or rented at all. Whoever the owners are do not maintain the property in the most remote way.
Totally disgusting. I Called and left a very nasty message. I did get a call back but did not get to the call after driving 14 hours. I called the next day, the female I spoke with took my complaints and said there were no notes from my concerns the night before. No calls back. Wednesday 8/11 I called expressing displeasure in addition to the bugs.
I was given (Tina) phone number and told to send all pictures I had taken. So I did. Tina told me she would forward them to the manager. No response. We were charged the same amount of money as Bear Necessity and no discount off that rental fee as Two Cub Cabins was more expensive due to it having 2 bed and 2 baths. This is a disgusting cabin in it condition and it's cleanliness.
I NEVER cooked a meal in Two Cubs Den because it's unclean. If I take Cabins USA at their word they emailed me of our original cabin, they had 30 days to get Two Cubs Den cleaned. They did not. My family has vacationed in Pigeon Forge for 20 years. We have rented from Cabins USA and Aunt Bugs without any issues, but this is the worst and most unprofessional. I WANT a full refund. I WILL try to attach pictures to you, but If unsuccessful I will be sending them to you snail mail.

I checked on my company with the BBB and have 2 complaints from last year that we didn't deliver a building after the deposit was made. Both complaints were with a company that has different name than us and we only process the orders for them, but they are responsible for the service, materials and delivery. Evidently a letter was sent although I haven't seen a letter. An employee possibly received but I'm not aware of it.
This type of thing needs to be looked at closer before it hurts the name of the company. I'd like to know how to get these resolved. I have a good name in the community and always follow through with any services promised. Please let me know who to contact to resolve these issues. Thank you.

I hate to sound like my parents but the Better Business Bureau is not what it used to be! My daughter attempted to buy a car that was a lemon. When I called the Better Business Bureau to make a complaint of this company I was told that it was A+ company. That is a joke! All of the reviews that I have seen about this company and everyone that I have talked to are all negative They have a 3.4 star review on Google yet the Better Business Bureau says that they are an A+?
I wonder how much he paid to have himself rated as an a plus with all the negative reviews. I was told that there was absolutely nothing the BBB Of Knoxville Tennessee could do because I didn't buy a car I was also told that if I did by the car, that cars are sold as is and there was nothing I could do then either. I'm glad my daughter didn't buy that car!
The Better Business Bureau is also low rated at a 3.8 How can you trust a company that is supposed to protect you're interests if they have such a low rating. Businesses have to pay a fee to be accredited. It seems like as long as you pay that fee you're an A+company. It would be nice if the Better Business Bureau could find a better way to finance their company. It seems like all you have to do is pay that fee and you're a great company No matter the majority of consumer opinion.
