Boritex, Inc. was founded by Mr. Jose L. Ramos in 1978. The name Boritex, Inc. is a combination of two places of importance to the company. Borinquen, (Bori) was the name given to the Island of Puerto Rico by its Indian inhabitants and is the birthplace of the company founder; Tex, (Texas) was derived from the State where the company began providing its services, Texas.
