I have used Dry Clean City for years. I now live in Alabaster and I drive to Vestavia whenever I need alterations or blankets laundered. They do an excellent job and I have always been happy with the work. They also do alterations and prices are so reasonable. Service: Alterations

I've been using this dry cleaners for several years, and to me, they're the best because of their friendly service and price! When I first started coming, they were $2.50 per item. After the pandemic they've had to raise the price a bit - but it's still cheaper than most places I'm aware of, and the service is great!

Really happy I discovered this place. I had some blackening curtains shortened and cleaned. They had them done quickly and they turned out perfectly.

Critical: Quality In the course of a year, they have smashed or melted about half of the buttons on the cuffs of my shirts. Used another dry cleaner and never had that problem. I don't wear dress shirts or dry clean that often.

I arrived into Birmingham in a pinch and needed my suit pressed same day. Pete was incredibly helpful and accommodating to have my suit ready to go same day for an important meeting. Will be recommending to everyone I know that lives in the area.

I've been on the search for a new dry cleaners every since my old one closed in March. The search has been tiring to say the least. Dry Clean city is in a great convenient location and the customer service at this place is great! The staff is wonderful polite and attentive. Their prices are probably some of the best in town. However my only complaint is whatever the solution that they use to clean your clothes is unbearable to someone with an extra sensitive nose.

They were kind enough to clean them for me when I took them back to complain about the smell but when I picked them up they smelled even worse. I managed to get the smell out of them by soaking them for 6 hours in cold water and vinegar and washing them 4 times. This place may work for most but unfortunately it doesn't for me so my search continues for a new dry cleaners.

I am a first timer! I called about alterations for my son's pants that we needed to have done by Saturday, they were able to do them and the price was very reasonable. The staff were very warm and friendly. This place is convenient to work and home for my family. I look forward to doing business with them again!

I had the absolute best experience with these guys! Super friendly customer service, quick turnaround on dry cleaning, great prices! I stopped by 2 other cleaners that offered same day service on their websites but that couldn't come through when I showed up in person. Dry Clean City did not disappoint however. I'll drive past nearly half a dozen other cleaners from Homewood to Vestavia to get to these guys and it's absolutely worth it. All of my business will go here from now on!

Good quality and great prices! Wish they had pickup and delivery service

I discovered this dry cleaner when I lived in Vestavia and always had a positive experience. I have since moved to Crestwood South and still drive to Vestavia specifically for this dry cleaner! They do a great job, they are efficient (1 day turn around if you get your clothes in early enough), and very reasonably priced! I recently had 4 pairs of dress pants, 3 blazers/suit jackets, and a dress shirt dry cleaned and a pair of pants altered for the same price it would've cost me to just get my 4 pairs of pants dry cleaned at all the places by my house in crestwood. Dry Clean City is well worth the drive for me!

They did a wonderful job on a dress I took to get elastic added in to the sleeves! Would definitely recommend to someone who is looking for a place to take alterations! I've never tried their dry cleaning, but I've heard amazing things from friends!

NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE. I had my daughter take two items to this cleaners and it ended up being a huge mistake. One was a wool sweater, which was a gift from her grandmother. They ruined it! It came back a couple sizes smaller and looks like it had been brushed. Just awful! I also sent a brand new dress only to be pressed, got it back smelling like chemicals, half pressed and all of the tags had been removed.

It seriously stinks and cannot be worn until it's washed. To make a bad situation worse, the customer service was awful! The lady there was just flat out rude and got smart with me twice. I should have never left my clothes there! I will never go back and I highly recommend you stay away as well.

They shrunk my wool sweater which was a gift from my late grandmother. That was just heartbreaking. The customer service at drop off was terrible and I should have known better at that moment and just went somewhere else but because of the good reviews I left my sweater anyways. I will NEVER go back here. And to make matters worse, the sweater smells like a harsh chemical and not like something someone should put on their body.

Based on Yelp, I bypassed several cleaners that were closer to me. I saw online that you could get two items free as a new customer. However, I only had two items and I did not want to take advantage of them. I had two blazers that only needed freshening up because they were given to me very scented. When I picked up them up, I noticed a pretreat tag on one.

I did not notice a stain before, but I thought that was just a sign of the excellent service. When I got them home, I noticed that there was writing on the pretreat tag. It said item was brought in damaged. When I pulled off the bag, that's when I saw that the faux leather pocket tabs were all eaten up. They were NOT damaged when I brought it in.

Someone did not know that this material should not be exposed to heat. The blazer should have been ironed by hand to avoid those areas. It's on me that I did not inspect it before leaving. However, I am appalled that instead of owning up to damaging the blazer, Dry Clean City tried to blame me by lying about the initial condition of the clothes.

I now understand why the woman kept my receipt when I gave her the ticket. Since the blazers were a gift, I'm just out of $6.58. But I'm very upset on how I was treated. Dry Clean City just lost a customer.

Super fast, friendly, and affordable! They also have an "after hours drop off" box right in front of the building, which is very convenient! I take comforters here to get cleaned often (only $20 for any size), but keep in mind that those take a lot longer for them to clean (they are usually ready in a week). All other garments are cleaned and ready to pick up in a day or so. You can also text "DCC" to 24587 to join their list to receive coupons, specials, etc.

Man I can't say enough about dry clean city, great customer service and they greet you with a smile, and they have superb cleaning service for a great price. I got 6 suits cleaned for and $35 you can't beat that and I got it back the same day. It's worth the drive, I couldn't ask for more!

Was looking for a place to get a blazer altered and found Dry Clean City on Yelp. They make appointments for alterations on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. I dropped off my jacket on Friday and picked it back up on Wednesday. It was 25 dollars to shorten the sleeves. They did a good job on it. I was very pleased with the work for that price.

Each time I drop off clothes to be cleaned at Dry Clean City, I receive a friendly greeting and have had a pleasant experience. When I come into the store now, I am greeted personally. My order has been taken correctly each time I visit and I have always received my clothes back in good order just the way I requested (pants always with sizing added and a crease).

I have also had bedspreads cleaned several times and I have always been pleased with them upon pick up and always pleased with the price. I would definitely recommend Dry Clean City for anyone looking for a quality service performed in a friendly, accurate manner.

I really do love this place as a business. Not only because they do great work at some of the best dry cleaning prices around, it always feels like home when I come here. Always spoken to by name, always treated with respect. it's just a really good reminder of how businesses should operate in general! I've interacted with maybe 5 or 6 different people (including one being trained) over time, and never have I not left without a smile on my face!

Pay up front and if it's before a certain time of day, your clothes will be ready the following day! Not only do they dry clean, they have a seamstress who comes once or twice a day to restitch buttons etc if you need that kind of thing. Also, as bonus, word of mouth referrals get you and the person you refer some dry clean discounts! Can lose with that type of offer! Again, hope my review sticks this time. but this is a great place of business!

I discovered Dry Clean City after searching for a reasonably-priced dry cleaner that was convenient to my workplace. I was fortunate to have discovered Dry Clean City! Parking isn't a problem - they share a lot with Brewster's Ice Cream. Customer service is top notch - everyone is so nice! I have used them for regular dry cleaning needs and alterations (hemming and fixing some broken buttons) and have been very satisfied with results and turnaround times (usually the next day after 5 for dry cleaning).

I know they offer other conveniences like a drop-off box but I can't speak to that.yet. Usually there is a charity/donation drive going and they have a text message and email distribution list for deals/specials. Even without these, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back to Dry Clean City for all of my dry cleaning needs!

We have been using Dry Clean City since it opened. They do a great job and you can't beat the price. They are prompt, efficient and friendly. The clothes are always cleaned and pressed well. The owner and his wife are usually there on site which is nice. They provide alterations and they also provide a drop off bag for after hours. The only down side is parking availability but they get you in and out so fast that it's not really a problem.

They share a building with Brewsters ice cream and there are only 2 parking spaces directly in front of the store. There are spaces nearby of course but only 2 directly in front.

Love everything about Dry Clean City. I have had alterations done they were perfect. My items are always done by the next day. Only had one shirt with an issue and they re cleaned it for free. And it looked perfect when I got it back. They are very reasonably priced.

My first visit to dry clean city I took in 7 pieces and they all came back perfectly. They have a great new customer offer, 2 pieces for free. Everyone was nice and they are so fast! You can pick everything up the next day after 5pm, I expected to have to pay more to get them rushed. Overall I'd say it's worth the drive from downtown for the quality of work and the service. I'll be returning in the future!

I am extremely pleased with my dry cleaners! They are prompt and can pretty much service any of your dry cleaning needs. They offer a great deal for first time customers: 2 garments free on your first visit. They replace lost buttons (not sure if you need to have the button, but I did). They clean comforters for $19.99. They have a drop off service and same day pick up as long as you drop off your items by a certain time.

They have a very friendly staff (very). They admit if they mess up and take ownership in a service guarantee(disclaimer: mistakes don't happen often here, but when they do, they are honest about it). Your items are always ready when they are promised. Just a great dry cleaners and conveniently located for us.

Sorry for the delay in updating this review - the owner reached out to me - apologized and kindly extended some credit for the damaged buttons. It doesn't take much to make things right but this gesture resulted in customer retention as well as showing me they care about the customer. The action from this business obviously demonstrates that the owner is still well grounded to the pulse of his business his customers needs. Thank you.
