Honest, conscientious and knowledgeable. During the sale of a home we discovered the glass in the master bathroom window was not tempered. Tim Crandall gave me a quote for the glass replacement, but also offered me another option, which was to have a safety and security window film made by 3M put on the window. It was significantly less expensive to do that and it brought the window to code.

This is the kind of company Crandall Window and Glass is--ethical and considerate. I am now using them at another residence and will be calling them to inspect the windows in an office building. I highly recommend Crandall Window and Aluminum.

I contacted Crandell Glass in hopes they would come to Tombstone, AZ to give me an estimate on window screens and a few retractable screen doors. I figured since a sizable job, and a family owned business, they might. I spoke with Jose who said they would charge me a $225 trip charge to measure and estimate. He said that would be credited if I used them but another $225 would be charged when they came back to install.

I thought it was a little high priced but went forward. A woman in the office called a few days later to get my $225 in advance. I gave her a cc which she ran. I also confirmed the agreed upon trip charge parameters with her. She concurred my discussion with Jose. Jose came out and measured and seemed very knowledgable. But.they had failed to tell me that he would be gone to TX so getting my estimate would be about three weeks. Looking back this should have been a red flag but by now I am into them for $225.

I finally get the estimate. The trip charge was credited but now they are charging me an additional $679 (later reduced to $677) because they feel they need two men (rather than the agreed upon second $225). I emailed Jose that this was not the agreement, and I was upfront about the work, so why was I now being penalized because of their miscalculation.

The manager then called me with some song and dance. Bottom line is that I eventually told them I was only interested in one retractable screen door (their prices were out of sight.beyond just the inflated trip charge). They came back with $1400.00 for one retractable screen door! Needless to say I questioned this, never heard back from them, used someone else at 1/3 the cost.

I feel they took advantage because I am in a rural area (or scammed me) and never addressed the issue but gladly ran my $225 never giving it another thought. I did put one star because Jose seemed knowledgable. but as a business owner myself, I feel they were very unethical.

Very conscientious customer service and attention to detail. Our tile installer was a bit imprecise, Jose noted it and mentioned we should address that before they installed new glass. I received a follow up call from Tim to make sure all was as it should be. Bottom line, my wife was happy. Thank you.

Crandell Glass is the absolute best! I've been using them for years, and they've never once let me down. We first called them when we were looking for someone to fix our oversized sliding glass door rollers. We had called the "popular" company in town, and the guy that came out couldn't lift the door alone, and when he called the owner, the owner didn't want to do the job so the guy just left. Weird. So, desperate, I found Crandell's number and called them, not even sure if they would fix rollers.

Lucky for me, they do! They came out the very next day. Unfortunately, their guy couldn't do the door alone, either. But they scheduled for the next day, showed up on time with three guys, and got the door done. It was more complicated than first anticipated too, but they fixed the door and replaced the rollers and got it working perfectly, without adding a single cent of additional cost for the additional hassle it took to get the job done.

I called Crandell again not too long ago because my bay window cracked. I got a quote from a different company, and they quoted 3x more and told me I needed to replace all sorts of stuff. Crandell was able to do the job properly without ripping the entire window housing out of the wall, and they even helped me install a screen to try to keep heat off the window to avoid it cracking again.

They sealed the window perfectly, and it's better than how it was from the house builder. They've replaced my rollers again, and it was a smooth repair experience. I would recommend Crandell to anyone and everyone. They're professional, nice, understanding, reliable, reasonably priced, and they do wonderful work. I can't speak highly enough of them!

Poor residential customer service response. I requested a quote for a few window replacements & terrace french doors, and I never received a courtesy return call. I made three phone call requests & I even spoke with the owner Tim, yet not one return phone call. They must be too busy with commercial big $$ customers. Fortunately there are other window replacement businesses in town & I have received returned phone calls.

I called Crandell Glass because I needed to add a secondary latch to my sliding glass doors as part of a pool safety requirement. I talked with Jeremy on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment within a week. Jeremy called me on the day of my scheduled appointment and despite their technician having an emergency and calling in that day, they were able to find another technician so they would not have to reschedule my job. I'm impressed with their commitment (as I have gotten used to being stood up by many contractors in Tucson), and their prices. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
