I bought a whole house cleaning package that seemed like a good deal until the up charge hustle started. Everything was extra, they charged per stair ($8 per stair), they charged extra for large rooms which to them was anything over 200 sq ft ($45 per room), and forget about rugs ($90 per rug). Keep in mind all this is in ADDITION to the whole house carpet cleaning package I had already paid for.
The actual cleaning was minimal. "Deep cleaning" was considered an extra charge (what a surprise). Buyer beware they will offer a low price upfront and then try to nickel and dime for everything else. I would have turned them away at the door but the original package I purchased was non-refundable.

I would give Key Cleaning 0 stars if it were possible. Probably the worst customer service that I have dealt with. We ordered carpet cleaning services from these people on Groupon. First, they were extremely difficult to reach via phone. Once we did get through they just answered the phone "hello" which is a pet peeve of mine and a sure indicator of a lack of professionalism.
Once we finally made an appointment, they told us between 11am and noon on a Tuesday. We waited until 1230 the day of and called to find out where they were and we were informed that our window was from 11am until 3pm, which we were not told initially, and they also let us know that there were 2 customers still ahead of us. At 330pm, we received a call from them saying that their truck was in a 'car accident" and they had to reschedule us until Sunday.
I argued stating that we should not go back to the back of the line because of a situation that was out of our control. A car accident (if it is even true) is unfortunate, and I do hope no one was hurt, but the fact is that we should still not be punished for them cancelling on us. He informed me that the reason was that they would not have "trucks in our area" until Sunday at the earliest.
I said that if he valued our business he would find a way to make it happen and he refused, so it's just another case of customers being the last priority. I understand that it is not fair to adjust everyone else's appointments because of an accident, and I know that i would not be fair to move around an entire group of people because of one customer, BUT the fact that we were pushed so far back shows that they have a very poor scheduling and logistics plan.
This is not to mention that we moved around our entire house to get it ready for the carpets to be cleaned and we have a realtor coming over in a few days to put our house on the market, so this was a HUGE inconvenience. Key Cleaning showed very little regard or value for us as customers. Their operation management and customer service are severely lacking. The entire interaction was rude and unprofessional, so I recommend steering clear of this company. Stay away.
