Services
Although we weren't around during the Revolutionary War when the local militia, known as the Minute Men (commemorated left in this statue in Westport, CT), bravely battled the mighty British army, Minute Men Cleaners has been part of the community since 1960. Founded by Fred Shepard, Minute Men was one of the new wave of "drive-in" cleaners taking the place of home delivery laundry businesses such as the one run by Fred's father since the 1930's. They were slowly becoming obsolete due to advent of the home washing machine and the growing presence of the family automobile.
In addition to our outstanding dry cleaning service, Minute Men offers a variety of convenient services for our valued customers. We do all our work on premises, except for a few specialty items, so we're confident of the quality and timeliness of the services being performed. We use the best cleaning system, detergents, and equipment to ensure your garments come back as clean, bright, soft, and stain-free as possible. Add in hand-finished pressing and ironing and free minor repairs, and your clothing will look and feel their best the next time you wear them.
Our friendly driver picks up your bag and then delivers your clean clothes back on the following delivery day.*. With convenient monthly billing to your credit card there are no bills to open or checks to write. All major credit cards are accepted, and if you'd like we can email you copies of each cleaning ticket, and/or, a monthly recap of all transactions during that month.
Here is my big 'THANK YOU' to the employees of Minute Men Cleaners for my recent experience. I had tried to clean a stain myself on a beautiful white coat. The label clearly said dry clean only. Needless to say I was convinced I had ruined my coat. The manager Dominic, as always, came to the rescue and very graciously took upon a challenge of fixing my wrongdoing.

I am used to NYC prices and am appalled at the prices at this place. I recently moved to the area and took advantage of a $20 off coupon and pricing was still outrageous. They either ripped me off on a one time basis by accident or intentionally or this is normal pricing and they are ripping all of their customers off every day. I won't be back.

We just recently moved to the area, and are so excited to have found Minute Men Cleaners. In all of our interactions so far, we've found the entire team to be incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating! When I needed a dress hemmed somewhat last minute, Tanya was happy to help get it finished in time and was a delight to work with. Also, the pickup and delivery service has been a HUGE help and time saver! Definitely recommend this place.

Sadly I have to enter a poor review. This is a business that I remember from my childhood and my mother always frequented Minute Men. I have consistently found the sales help to be somewhat rude. Today I went in with some pants that needed alterations. When I inquired about the tailor, because the office appeared to be darker than normal, I was met with a very curt "He isn't here, that's why the light is off.
He will be back on Friday." No kind explanation only an implication that I am stupid for not realizing he wasn't in when the hours on the door clearly stated he should be open for business. This isn't my first go round with Minute Men but clearly it will be the last time I walk through those doors. I searched for tailors in my area and ended up at one in Riverside where I was treated with kindness and respect. Shame on you Minute Men and goodbye!
