During the anticipated transition back to work and normal life, here at Sunrise, we want you to know that we are gearing up with a healthy staff to manage the influx of our customers' cleaning needs. We know that getting back to work is important, and getting back safely is our main concern. We have expanded our options for individual homes and businesses in regards to sanitizing surfaces. In addition to what we use on a normal basis, we have added a product on the EPA's "N" list, to sanitize surfaces of any viral entities.
Services
Sunrise Cleaning Service hires dependable, honest people. They attend the company's thorough training sessions to assure the highest standards and follow written policies and procedures. No one is sent out alone until they fully understand and have a professional grasp of quality house cleaning. In addition, all employees' Worker's Compensation Insurance, Social Security and all taxes are paid by Sunrise Cleaning Service. At Sunrise Cleaning Service, an attitude of excellence is paramount in our approach, when hiring staff, and managing our business.
The first step is scheduling an estimate with you to determine the scope of the job. An estimator will come to your home and work with you to determine your priorities for the cleaning. We customize this to your needs. At that time we calculate how long it will take to clean the home and multiply that by our hourly rate.
As a young girl raised on a farm, Tracy Taylor and her family learned many ways to provide good food for their family while remaining environmentally and chemically conscious. Later in her adult life, Tracy moved to the environmentally-conscious Santa Cruz area, choosing to work for a local grocery store chain.
Even though I have only worked for Sunrise for a short while, I must say that this job has been a real lifesaver. The job market in Santa Cruz is horrendous, and it is next to impossible to find full-time employment. This job was a perfect supplement to my part-time job at the Teen Center. The hours I have gotten with Sunrise have allowed me to save up a little money for my road trip and pay off bills while I'm still in Santa Cruz.

If I could leave a zero star review I would this was the most unprofessional cleaning service and service in general I have ever used. We have a very very small apartment, only 310 ft., basically just a bedroom. And Tracy quoted us for two hours of cleaning at $65 an hour without even coming to see the place or how it looked. Laura arrived at our house spent two hours cleaning we came back 15 minutes before the two hours were up and her car was already out of the spot and she was gone but we were charged for the whole two hours.

When we came back we found that there was still trash left everywhere nothing was thrown away she only cleaned our tiny 30 square-foot bathroom (and still left a part of it dirty that she "couldn't get to" we found trash hidden around our apartment (in the corners on top of the fridge etc. furthermore, after I complained Tracy scheduled a quick phone call and during that phone call we were told "we weren't wealthy enough for a cleaning service" that our house was "absolutly disgusting" (even though we deep cleaned the day before) and complained about having to pick up a few pencils from under the couch. Additionally Laura, the cleaner, was laughing at us on the phone and insulting us with Tracy.

I have never been insulted that much by someone I encounter on the street much less a service I pay. This was one of the worst and most unprofessional services I have ever used and looking at other people's experiences on here it is clear that they should never be used by anyone.

The owner Tracy is professional and efficient. She's responsive to text messages, and was very personable when she came over to scope out the job and price it. The price for an initial cleaning of my small house was high; but that's fine with me if the job is excellent. Sad to say, it wasn't. I walked in the door that evening expecting a new level of clean, and found a sticky stain on one side of the door, and bits of dirt and sand on the other.

There were a few other obvious misses, such as crumbs still on the kitchen counter. Before I could complain, Tracy contacted me and said they had been shorthanded due to illness, and could make it up on my first regular cleaning. Uh, no; I asked her to come and finish the job as agreed, and pointed out the missed spots by texting photos. Some cleaners came back and did more work, but oddly, they missed two out of the three specific things I pointed out to Tracy. So I have to conclude that this group's execution does not match their price, and that they may have some communication challenges.

Tracy promised me an itemized invoice as soon as the work was completed. I needed it for my management company. It took a week to get the invoice, even though they charged my credit card immediately. I called 3 times over 3 days and didn't get a return call until I disputed the charge with my credit card company. This was by far the most expensive cleaning I've ever paid for. I will not use this service again.

Seriously I would give 0 stars if I could. Every time I think we are finally done with dealing with the owner, Tracy, she pulls the carpet out from under us. She is aggressive, unprofessional, uncompromising, immature, and at this point I'm 99% sure she is a psychopath and I mean that literally. After she called the police on me for coming to her "place of business" and wouldn't even acknowledge me I went to the county building to see my options.

I sent her a final warning message letting her know that we would pursue legal action if she did not finish the installation of the shower doors her employee broke. On top of that we would sue for pain and suffering for the weeks we have had to deal with her and go without a shower door, as well as for the money she charged onto my card. The day before the deadline, I gave her, she responded saying that she would have a check the next day.

We set a time for her to come to the house to drop off the check, my fiance left early from work to make sure he would be here when she came. The time came and went. We both went to the front door to see if she came. I saw on my phone that I had received an email. It was from her 20 minutes past when she said she would be at the house, saying that she was here and would wait for 5 minutes.

She didnt call or knock or ring the doorbell like a normal person. She sent an EMAIL telling me she was at the house. And obviously by the time I got the email she was gone, if she was even here in the first place. Called her--no response, of course. emailed her back--no response. Well I was really hoping to get things settled outside of court but it looks like thats not going to happen.

We hired sunrise to clean one of the bathrooms in our house. The tub and ceiling needed thorough cleaning and we made it clear these were the priorities. They quoted us three hours. The cleaning we did get was bad, they mostly ignored the areas we said were priority and the cleaning they did do looked like they were just wiping stuff off with a damp rag instead of thoroughly scrubbing.

That would have been bad enough but the cleaning person broke one of the glass shower doors while trying to bend it (who does that?) and didn't even clean it all up so we had bits of shattered glass everywhere. The owner Tracy came by a day or two later, looked at it, commented that the bathroom looked like it could use more cleaning (ya think?!?) and said it would be taken care of within two weeks.

Well it's been almost two months and we still have no shower door, Tracy keeps asking for the same measurement information over and over even after she told us that the local home depot had our shower door and she just needed to get it, and then she has the gall to charge us full price for the cleaning two days ago, without informing us, almost two months after the fact.

These people are frauds and you should not trust them with your financial info let alone letting them in your house. I have been patient and given them the chance to make this right and instead they tried to rip us off even more. Stay away at all costs!

My experience with this company did not extend beyond the bid process, but I was unimpressed enough to pass on hiring them. Three things killed the deal. First, they require that you purchase their cleaning products to clean your house. Really? This is my home and I control what comes into it. I use Eco-safe products anyway, so why should I buy what they are selling?

That marketing practice is nothing but a lightly disguised up-charge on service. Second, I was told I would be charged an extra-mileage fee for cleaners to come out, even though my (unincorporated county) home is the same distance from the Sunrise business office as the many homes and businesses in town that I know are their clients and are NOT charged that fee.

What the fee really amounts to is a "we can do this so we will" charge. They know people in the outlying areas put up with that nonsense. Finally, I found the business owner to be bossy and difficult, in our brief contact. Based on her controlling attitude and approach to a potential customer, I did not feel that I could trust her. Hiring someone to clean is a major trust exercise for me, so she did not get the contract.

My sister, who is very pregnant, was given a gift for a cleaning service. We hired Sunrise Cleaning and could not have been more pleased. Tracy has amazing customer service and a very good work ethic. My sisters home is sparkling and smells amazing! Plus everything she cleaned with is environmentally sound and safe for toddlers and babies. I would highly recommend this service to anyone. Thank you Tracy!

Tracy did a great job cleaning my office. She came out and gave a bid detailing how much each and every task costs and the estimated time for each task. Her staff came out they were professional and did a great job! Thank you Sunrise Cleaning Service!

I used Sunrise for years because I was too busy to find a new service. I had so many problems with this agency. Tracy repeatedly messed up the scheduling, to the point where it was the rule, not the exception. Often I would be counting on having a clean house right before all the guests showed up for a special event, only to discover that Sunrise had failed to show up.

The problem got so bad that I confirmed every date via email, and this still did not solve the problem. Tracy was unbelievably rude on several occasions. The customer service got a bit better when she hired an office manager. Ultimately I had to let them go when I came home one day to find my door unlocked, several lights on, and many items in my house moved around.

I thought I had been robbed, but it smelled like Sunrise cleaning products, so I called them, only to discover that they had sent a cleaner without notifying me that we had an appointment.

This is the first time i've used a cleaning service. I have had sunrise clean my house a few times now and i am pretty happy with the results. I work for myself and work pretty hard so it's a real gift to me to have a help with this so i can take some time for R&R. The cleaning goes pretty well, I usually have the bathroom and kitchen done and a few deep cleaning items as well. i'm mostly on hand so everything that's really important to me gets done. I've been happy with my cleaner, she does a great job so i ask for her each time.

I personally like the smell of the thieves cleaner they use (it smells like cinnamon and cloves) and the fact that it is environmentally safe. I even bought a bottle and use it myself now in between cleanings. If you associate the aroma of bleach or other industrial chemicals with cleanliness, this may not do it for you though it DOES work and IS clean. Of course i'll use Sunrise again. It's such a relief to have a clean house after a long week of working. I deserve it!

They just left after doing "10 hours" of "deep cleaning" for $320. I could have done the same amount in 3 hours-except I'm busy potty training my 2 year old twins! I feel like such a fool for throwing away this money. Now I have to try to find someone else to do the cleaning tomorrow since the house if being appraised the day after. If only they could have at least done a mediocre job on everything their estimator said they would get done in that time.

But not only were there corners still with spider webs and surfaces they she agreed to do brushed off rather than scrubbed-they didn't even get to everything on the agreed upon list! When I asked why the windows weren't getting done when I'd specified that as a priority (along with the spider webs) I was told they didn't do windows! Fortunately the workers were really nice (if slow) and went ahead and did some windows for me.

I have used Sunrise Cleaning in the past and would not go back.here is the problem. SOME of their staff are great.but some or HORRIBLE! it is really hit and miss. The good people keeps leaving (hmm.should be some indication there). There were multiple occasions that member of the crew would just stand around and basically not do anything but watch the other staff member's work. (Maybe why it is so hard for her to hold on to good staff) - not only did I notice this but my kids did and did not feel it was right. If you bring it up with the owner she will just argue with you. I would NOT recommend them!

We've used Sunrise a few times now and can report the following: UPSIDE: 1. Tracey Taylor makes a very professional presentation when she visits your home to explain her house cleaning service 2. The ladies that Sunrise uses have been diligent in their cleaning work 3. The house *looks* clean when the cleaners are done (see also downside) 4. Prices are fair enough, given Sunrise's bonding and insurance and the peace of mind in knowing you're using a legitimate business DOWNSIDE: We're not entirely sure what Sunrise's "natural" cleaning products are, nor what earth-shattering problem they're supposed to address, but. our house unfailingly *smells worse* once the cleaning is done. Bathrooms, though clean-looking, are left with a funky Eau d'HomelessDude smell.

After the last (and probably final) visit from Sunrise our kitchen area, no kidding, reeked of something akin to urine. KIND OF DEFEATS THE WHOLE HOUSE-CLEANING PURPOSE, I'D SAY. BOTTOM LINE: There must be other bonded/insured house cleaners in Cruzio County without the curious environmental dogma that leave your house looking *and* smelling clean. Batter up!

Contrary to many others, I was very unhappy with their work. I was geetting ready for renters, and had to go over numerous areas of the house after they were done. KPIG should stop endorsing them! And the price was extremely high! Not reasonable at all for the end result. I told them they didn't need to clean the floors other than with a dust mop as it was a brand spanking new wooden floor.they didn't listen and cleaned it with some sort of cleaning fluid and the entire floor was streaked when I got there.

They told me since the house wasn't completely empty that it would cost more. Big deal, there were a couple of chairs that my grandmother could have moved. But Tracey sure made a big deal driving that home.probably so she could justify charging so much. They didn't even have to clean the oven or the frig as they were brand new. I found dust, dirt and cobwebs in 2 closets which were obviosly not cleaned.

Numerous drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms were not cleaned. Some of the windows weren't cleaned. Overall, for what I paid, I would not use them again. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

If I could rate 3.5 that would be my preference. I found Tracy very thorough and helpful, but there was definitely inconsistency in how well things were cleaned. Some rooms were amazing, in another area, 2 whole walls were left with cobwebs on them! All the workers were prompt, friendly and willing to do the work. I WOULD USE THE SERVICE AGAIN, BUT I would be very specific about what needs to be moved, not moved, etc.

We called this cleaning service for our parents new rental place because it received 5 star reviews on Yelp. Our experience was not the same. The price we were quoted seemed VERY high for the work being done and the space that needed to be cleaned (a 1 bedroom - bathroom, kitchen, living room, and laundry room). There were special areas we noted that needed to be deep cleaned, etc. but they had not moved into the place yet so there was no need for a refrigerator to be cleaned behind, floors to be swept or mopped, and also no vacuuming needed to be done.

There were some boxes and stuff here and there, but we did leave room for cleaners to get around them. My sister got the initial quote from Tracy. I made a follow up call asking for specifics on what was going to be cleaned so that I could justify this price in my head - never really felt justified (even with a discount), but we went ahead with it anyways.

We were quoted 10 hours of work. I told her that if we could cut that down, it would be great since the cost was so high. Tracy told me she would call me the next day after the cleaning was complete to let me know the exact hours & amount that would be charged to my card. She never called. Instead, I had to call her the following day (Saturday) asking for the information.

When I spoke to her, she told me that she was "not in the right frame of mind to talk about this" since her boat was in danger in the harbor due to the effects from the Tsunami. Blowing off an already unhappy customer, is not good customer service in my book. She said she would call me Monday. Meanwhile, I went to the house and was shown that there were a bunch of things that were not cleaned properly or at all.

I told this to Tracy on the phone and she said that a walk through was done and this should have been pointed out. A walk through was not done, and she had a very hard time believing this from me, the customer. Why would I lie about that? I wanted to get this done and off my plate - not create more time for me or them to deal with this. I emailed her about what was not done, and that we needed to schedule the rest to be completed.

She agreed that they would come back for 1 hour only for "touch ups" to what had been done before. In her emailed response to me, she felt the need to tell me how SHE was feeling with all of this. I'm sorry, but this to me is NOT the way you run a business. If this were my business, I would be doing what needed to be done in order to please my customer (ESPECIALLY A NEW ONE) and make them happy.

The hour of "touch up" work was completed, and the work that was done in that hour was excellent. Overall though, I did not feel like I was treated as a valued and respected customer. I will not be using their services again.

This was the first time we used a cleaning service for our Santa Cruz rental and the results were very good. We had an Open House coming up and the existing tenants had pretty much not cleaned for at least 6 months so there was a lot of grime to get through. The proof of the pudding was the Open House itself where 30 groups went through the house raving about its qualities.

We had Sunrise in for a second cleaning in early September as new tenants moved in and they were as fast and efficient as before - cleaning a kitchen, 2 fridges, 2 bathrooms, and some common room flooring. The new tenants were very pleased.
