Edmer Sanitary Supply Company is a family-owned business founded in 1959 by Bill Zeitlin, a Drill Instructor fresh out of the Marine Corp. Bill's brother Hal joined the company shortly after, and we leased our first building, a 5,000-sq-ft two-story barn, in North Bellmore, Long Island. In 1965, Edmer purchased a 25,000-sq-ft building and relocated to East Meadow, where we are currently located.

Didn't have what I was looking for. The guy that I dealt with was not friendly at all. Too bad, as I would have considered buying a new vacuum from them. Was told to go back to where I bought my vacuum for a filter that I needed. I bought the vacuum online, but wanted to give a local business my money instead. Guess I'll buy it online and save a bunch of money as this place is pricey anyway.

Not nice about answering questions about their products. Not knowledgeable about their own stock of products. Unapologetic when errors are made. Thumbs down! Find somewhere else. Even during covid, there's no need to become nasty or unprofessional. I was delayed out of the country taking care of a family emergency after I had placed an order for $150 of electrical cords.
They left several nasty and unprofessional messages about picking up the order. Had sent my wife in to pick up the order and when she told them that we had a family emergency they were unapologetic about the aggressive messages. Then when I myself came in they asked why I hadn't been in for a while. (They knew exactly why already since my wife had told them.) Not nice! 30 years of patronage down the tubes!
