I had Mark from Special Touch Carpet cleaners at my home on 12-28-2019 to clean 4 areas. When I called on 12-16-19 and made the appointment I set up for my family room, stairs up to the 2nd floor, the upstairs bridge area and the master bedroom to be cleaned. I specifically stated that my family room was going to free of all furniture as it was the room that has the most traffic.
When I was called by my friend Jimmy and told Mark was going to be early I told him what was going to be cleaned and to move the TV from the family room. I was back at my home in less than 20 minutes after speaking with Jimmy. Mark the guy cleaning the carpet was on the upstairs bridge as I walked in. As I walked over the family room carpet and then up the stairs the carpet was very wet.
I asked my friends how much he had been done and they said he had done the family room the stairs. He was doing the bridge when I told him we had some furniture to move and he said it was ok to walk on the wet carpet. He started on the master bedroom and we started to move a bed. I was Looking over the railing down at my family room carpet an asked Mark if he was hitting the family room since he a apparently sprayed it with some form of cleaner.
He stated that he had already done the family room. I said to Mark how was the family room carpet cleaned if it looks like it's never been touched. All the while I had 4 other people in my home at the time moving furniture between bedrooms listening to us. He started off saying he has been doing carpets for 20 years and it will never be cleaner than what I was looking at.
I was in disbelief of what I was hearing and I was not at all happy what he was saying and the attitude he was giving off. He said with what I took as a disrespectful tone "I will take off $20 bucks" I paid him just to get him out of my house with all intentions of calling Monday morning to dispute the charges for this non cleaning. The machine he brought in did nothing more than swirl around some cleaning spray he put down and cleaned nothing as the pictures I have included will show.
I had a friend bring his wife over the very next morning with a home Bissel carpet cleaner and run a line up the carpet Mark said was as clean as it would ever get. I called on December 30 at 9:55am and spoke with a Diana and explained the situation and she stated she could not do anything and the office manager was not coming back until next week.
I waited over a week for a call back that never came. So I called back on 1-8-2020 at 10:16 am and left a message for the office manager. 1-8-2020 at 12:18 pm the office manager Diane called back. I stated to her what had happened and that I had witnesses and pictures to verify what had gone on. She was relentless in defending Mark and went as far as stating the pictures I had were not of the same room.
That was the end of trying to reason with her as it was apparent that she is not going to own up to their failure to clean my carpets as one would expect. I hired M&M carpet cleaning on 12-31-19 who provided what carpet cleaning is supposed to be. Clean looking carpets as the pictures will show as he cleans the family room floor. I had him do everything Mark did as I knew none of what he did was clean.
To think that I was told by Mark that my carpets were as clean as they were ever going to be is despicable. I am not gullible enough to think I am the only person he is telling these lies to. If you want clean carpets these are not the people to hire. Check my yelp review for picture pictures don't lie. Also note that their process for cleaning carpets is not recommended by most if not all major carpet manufacturers.

On July 1, 2019, I hired Special Touch Cleaners to clean our carpets (living room, dining room, family room and six steps) in our newly purchased empty house. This was new carpet installed in May 2019, in which the previous owners had one small dog. There was not any smell or stains present on this new carpet prior to the cleaning. The employee that showed up to clean was there under a total of 30 minutes, was very unprofessional-looking with his pants sagging, and used an old, tiny carpet cleaning machine that looked like something we owned. Days later we noticed a "dirty sock" stench coming from the new carpet they had just cleaned.
The empty house we had not yet moved into smelled PUTRID! I immediately called Special Touch to report the issue, and they blamed it on the prior dog and prior "pet odors" coming out of the carpet since it had been cleaned. I told her this was new carpet and there were no prior odors or stains, and this stench was due to oversaturation! They offered to come back out to re-clean and I reluctantly re-scheduled a tentative appointment for the following week, but after discussing the issue with my husband, we decided against having them come back out and cause more damage, so we cancelled the second appointment. Today, on July 24, 2019, I called the Office Manager and requested a refund of $117.43 (total amount paid) due to the stench still being in my new home, and us having to contact another company to come properly clean our new carpeting (if it's not already ruined!).
She told me that they do not issue refunds. I asked where does it state that, and where did I sign anything agreeing to no refunds? She said on the bottom of the invoice, it says if the job is not done the first time, they will make it right; I told her that is not the same as agreeing to "No Refunds", and she said no where did it state they would ever give a refund if not satisfied.
I would have never hired this company if I would have known they would have possibly ruined my new carpeting in my new house - we may now have to replace the carpeting because the stench is not coming out due to oversaturation! I filed a complaint with the BBB and they still are refusing a refund! BEWARE! Horrible customer service, and no where did they state there are NO REFUNDS, so they clearly need to brush up on their understanding of the law! PLEASE STAY AWAY!

The cleaning professionals were courteous and on time. It should be noted that this is not a carpet steam cleaning company that I am aware of. My wife was expecting an extraction. For what I paid I feel they did a fair job. Would definitely use again if I was not attempting to clean dog pee from my carpets. My carpets look fantastic as the device they use takes the matting out of the carpeting and makes it look new again.
For people trying to sell their home, this would be a fantastic service to use as it would renew and rejuvenate that old looking carpet. Also would not break the bank or saturate the pad.

They were in and out in 20 minutes for three big rooms. Their equipment was subpar. They sprayed some kinda of brightener to make it appear clean however the chemical put down couldn't even be removed by a quality company afterwards. They needed to remove cat urine but only used a chemical clean, steam should be used to actually remove the waste. Stay away and look elsewhere for your cleaning needs. Very disappointed in this company.

Horrible! You can't even tell the carpet was cleaned. I had one piece of furniture in the entire house and had to call for them to come back because they "cleaned" around it and not under it. When I called, I was asked if it was clean under the chair even though I just said it was not. Rude customer service as well. The one star is for my recliner looking wonderful.
The carpets don't even look cleaned and the deodorizer was a complete waste of money as was the cleaning charge. Stuart was rude from the get go and was extremely rude when having to come back to to under the chair.

Thank you so much for your prompt attention to the highly inadequate service your company performed for me last Saturday. As promised, your techs arrived within the 2-hour window I was scheduled for with hardly a minute to spare! At 11:00! That's quite a feat seeing as how I was the first customer of the day! Your knowledgeable, dedicated, professional staff got right to work a half hour after they got there!
Talk about work ethic! Once your tech got his pants pulled up his service was invaluable for holding up the doorway and checking his phone! Upon completion, they assured me it was quite normal to have the water ooze up between my toes when I walked on the carpet. Once I paid the fee, I realized that my senior citizen gym membership cost about the same!
Just as well considering the workout I got by the time I was done pushing, pulling, lifting and squatting to extract all that nasty, dirty water that was left behind in my carpets. I sure appreciate your offer of re- cleaning any problem areas. However, there only appears to be one area. The ENTIRE area! I'm not so sure it's a good idea to re-saturate the carpet at this point as it has nearly finished drying!
Perhaps if you were to add a mold and mildew treatment I just might reconsider. Being in the cleaning business myself I understand how important one's reputation can be. I will be sure to pass along this less-than-stellar experience to all my residential and Commercial clients, as well as the nearly 100 people who reside in my apartment complex. Call me impressed! Honestly, at first, I was expecting the technician to arrive in a steam cleaning van / truck. Having owned other janitorial companies, I've experienced other 'dry' cleaning methods & I wasn't happy with any of them. I've also seen how customers can have completely unrealistic expectations when it comes to their service(s). That being said, our technician was right on time as scheduled & asked about our expectations and the age of the carpeting.
He mentioned that a few spots may 'wick back' over a few days. He was here what I thought was a reasonable time for the work he did & the place smelled great when he left. He got spots, ( Ink & lipstick ), out of the carpeting that I wasn't expecting to come out. As predicted, those spots did wick back, but they are barely noticeable. My expectations were definitely exceeded and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and I plan on calling them the next time.

Nothing special about this touch. Not very impressed with the work I just had done although they came quickly and the work was done in under an hour. A spot or two was removed but there are still some that I thought would have come up, was was hoping for a more thorough cleaning. Steam clean might have been better but he didn't have the ability to do so due to of an outlet situation which I feel like as a cleaning company he should have been more prepared for. Spare room still smells the same, again was just hoping for a better clean from a professional company.
Wish I would have read reviews prior to spending the money on this feel like I could have done the same quality myself. Will probably go with someone who is prepared to steam clean my carpets next time.
