In 2007, the office and showroom moved to 6080 State Route 128 just south of Miamitown.

After years of beginning to make a name for Handy Window Shade Inc. in 1901 at 1230 Vine Street in downtown Cincinnati, Art Meckstroth retired his services. Ralph Meckstroth took ownership of Handy Window Shade Inc. in 1910. In 1943, Handy Window Shade Inc. made the decision to move from 1230 Vine to 905 Vine.

We recently moved into our new home and put off selecting blinds until the last minute. Handy Window Shade came through for us- we had our blinds quickly and very reasonably priced. Best customer service too. After remodeling our home three years ago we called Greg and Ralph to have 16 new blinds installed.

The back of our new home faces west. Great sunsets, BUT we could not use our dining room because the sun would just blast us and make our dining experience completely unenjoyable. I love the trim on these new windows, so I did not want to cover them with draperies. Handy Window Shade had a perfect solution. The shades block the sun but we can still see out into our beautiful backyard. The process was so simple too. Highly recommended!

We first met the Meckstroth's in 1981. They have provide Blinds, shades including motorized units in three different homes. Two in the Blue Ash/Montgomery area and one in Burlington, Kentucky. These two brothers have never disappointed us or the many customers we've sent their way. We hold this company in High Regards because "They deliver what they promise!"

After 27 years of having plastic 1 mini blinds in our home from Furrows, we finally decided to get new blinds and Wow what a difference! The Meckstroth brothers and assistants did a wonderful job and followed through with what they promised! Whenever possible, I prefer to patronize a small family-owned business instead of the big box store. I had priced the box stores for my window treatments but then discovered Handy Window Shades. They offered a free in-home assessment. I never dreamt that they would be so much better! They are affordable, professional and very efficient. Definitely check them out before buying elsewhere!
