A contractor, of my choice, elected to use an affiliate of Geneva Cleaners (CRDN) as sub-contractor to assist with the cleaning, restoration & storage of my textiles and electronics after a house fire. Geneva's affiliate stored our belongs for months before even beginning the cleaning and restoration process, all the while they were charging "storage fees".
I found this out when I contacted the company, after a few months, a little over a week before my family was informed that our home repairs were nearly concluded and we could soon move back home. I first found out during that call with CRDN that the restoration process hadn't even begun but I was told they would arrange to expedite the restoration process but because they were busy it would be weeks before our belongs would be ready.
Fast forward to weeks later when I received notice that our belongs were restored! Great, except I was then told that our belonging will not be returned to us until our insurance company paid them in full. I contacted my insurance immediately to find out they had not even received an invoice at that point! Now, fast forward several more weeks, after lots of correspondence between my general contractor, the insurance company and CRDN of Northern IL, payment was finally able to be made BUT that process took several days and that was not without hassle and inconvenience to me.
Once paid, CRDN did schedule our belongings to be returned within a few business days, which was great; however, on the day of receipt, unbeknownst to us before then, we received several boxes of "non-restorable" or "unable to be cleaned belongings! That was the FIRST we had heard from the company that they were not able to clean and restore all that was taken.
After being paid tens of thousands of dollars we were left having to open and go through and inventory the damaged belongings and submit the inventory to insurance on our own separate from the "Lost Belongings Inventory" that the general contractor had already submitted to us and the insurance company. In the end, we were disappointed that the restoration process was drug out & as such that delayed the billing & payment process as well as my family getting back our clothing, textiles, electronics and appliances.
Then the fact that we had to personally go through and inventory the non-restorable goods (that we did not even know existed until the boxes were returned to us) left us in utter disbelief.more than three months after our house fire. The positives I can offer was that the employees were always pleasant (even when listening to my grievances) and only a small number of the restorable goods that were returned to us came back damaged.

As a transplant from the city, to the Western Burbs, I wish I had known about Geneva cleaners a lot sooner. Professional, friendly, responsive, and very reasonably priced. Easy access includes a pull-up window where a valet comes and get your cleaning, and brings you your completed order. Great customer service. Impressive! Service: Alterations

The store was very helpful giving me options to clean 30 year old children's dresses. These were made by Grandmother's for my daughters. This was a very special gift for my granddaughter I received excellent advice and service. The dresses turn out in a like new condition. Thank you Geneva Cleaners.

Amazing service and dry cleaning! The carhops (previously an option but standard with pandemic) are helpful, efficient, and very kind. I brought in my favorite "dress up" skirt which was deeply stained with mud after I tripped and fell off a poorly graded unlit sidewalk. I was not optimistic that the skirt could be saved, but every stain is completely gone and it looks like new! They are wonderful.

They did take my 10 lb long muddy glitter wedding dress and cleaned it. I had a custom made dress and it was challenging to find a place that would take a risk and clean it so I'm pretty happy to find this place. Taking 1 star off because they didn't call me back when the dress was ready. I made a check in call a week after due date and was told it's ready for pick up. Also wait time is 4-6 weeks but probably longer because they may not call back.

I took an evening gown to be pressed. Eric spent a lot of time with us, explaining how they press the gown, how delicate it is to do and was very honest with the process and how the dress could get a stain. I never knew, some dresses could stain from being steamed. The dress turned out beautiful! I am so impressed with the time Eric spent with us, the care he took if my dress and the quality of the process. Thank you, Eric!

Geneva Cleaners cleaned my wedding dress after the bottom and sides got dirty from my wedding day. It looked brand new when I picked it up! They were so attentive and called every step of the way to make sure they were doing what I wanted and to be careful with something so special. They are clearly experienced and I would recommend anyone needing to clean their wedding dress after their big day goes here!

Amazing and so friendly! They make it so easy to drop off and pick up 24 hours a day. My first visit was quick and very informative. I set up an account very quickly and was given a wash tutorial so i could use the outside drop off and pick up station. They even have a drive up service. Price are very fair for all of the convenience they provide

This message is set for Kristen the owner, you do not know how to run a good business! Your turn over rate and have nothing but children working your counter, they are clueless and have no knowledge on clothing! What happened? You used to have a fabulous staff? Customer service has gone way down hill! Also want to add on how you treat your employees, your nothing but snotty and cruel.
No wonder why your turn over rate is at its high. I wouldn't want to work for you either it to mention you are nothing but liars who cheat there customers and ruin there clothes. I had a friend also used your fire restoration department and she changed her mind and didn't want to go through with the process. Your customer service rep Jasmine said the order wasn't even touched yet and then a half hour later saying they still had to pay cause the Oder was cleaned? Liars and thief and one day you will pay for how wicked you are! Never will go back to this company who lie and is horrible to there employees!

Eric and Tracy are people you do not want to do business with, they are bullies, unprofessional and called my family to threaten and strong arm us. They lied when they took our clothes over two months ago after a house fire, telling us that they had a deal with our insurance company. Only to find out they did not. They didn't communicate, they wont' answer calls and refuse to return ALL of our clothes unless they are paid in full, . before delivery.
We offered several compromises and they continue to be unprofessional and literally keep the clothes off my autistic sons back. Eric won't answer calls at all. Tracy came into our home and was taking pictures with our art! Do not do business with this company.

Friendly, quick and great attention to detail. I was going to a different place for a while and one of my suit jackets had a missing button. The other place never bothered to fix it or even mention it. I brought it here and they fixed it immediately, without me even mentioning the missing button. I have no reason to go anywhere else.

We have been customers for quite a while. Why? The quality and the people. Our dry cleaning is always done very well. We are always impressed how they can handle any type of dry cleaning need from cashmere to shearling. Their new automated and customer kiosk system is easy to use and very helpful with schedules. We also love going to Geneva Cleaners because their staff are just kind and friendly. Joey always has a smile on her face and is helpful making sure we get our dry cleaning done properly. She is also very kind to our kids. It's easy going here because they just welcome you as a customer. This is probably the best dry cleaner in the Fox Valley!

Pros: great location if you live near downtown Geneva, all employees are friendly and carhop service is great Cons: about a dollar per shirt higher than other local cleaners, (just about $3/shirt for cleaning) quality of cleaning and pressing- in particular pressing (see photos: you shouldn't have to steam and/or iron shirts after picking them up from a dry cleaner) Dropped off 8 shirts, 5 of them require repressing. Not only were all wrinkles not removed, many wrinkles were pressed into the shirt cuffs, collars, etc. and now require repressing. Disappointed.

Seriously the BEST! I brought them my mom's wedding gown that was 45 years old and as you can imagine, extremely yellowed. I wanted to know if they could bring it back to white for me to wear on my wedding day this September. Eric, Joey, Nacho and the team all examined my dress to determine its material and decide how to clean it. After much discussion, Eric (the owner) suggested doing a multi-bath system that lasts about a week.
He said his mom used to use this process growing up and it has the best success. It was reassuring to hear that this cleaners is a multi-generational business, and Eric himself said he has cleaned hundreds of wedding dresses. He spent about half an hour going over all the risks in cleaning such an old gown, to make sure I was comfortable. There was no pressure and they suggested sleeping on it, which I did.
The next day, I decided to let them start cleaning the dress, and I am so glad I did! They got it back to WHITE! It looked brand new! I'm now having them preserve it for my daughter! This is seriously the best cleaner EVER. I'll never use anyone else. They are not only experts, but also take the time to explain what they plan to do. That's a business who cares about their customer. Thank you - Geneva Cleaners!

I decided to try this place out for the first time and they were great! I like the hop car service, where you pull up to a slot numbered 1-4 and an attendant comes right to your car to take/deliver your items. I live in St. Charles, but due to language barriers at my present cleaners, I wanted to try someone where I could actually have a conversation with on a normal decibel level and I found the staff very personable at Geneva Cleaners.
The young lady that attended to me, thoroughly explained the process, the current renovations, the hours of operation and before quoting me a price to dry-clean my throw, she actually went back inside to double check the cost so as not to give me the wrong quote. My throw was ready exactly when promised and it looked great! Although I cannot use this particular cleaners all of the time, I will definitely use them whenever possible.

After my basement flooded, the restoration company recommended their services for my wedding dress and veil. I asked for a quote per item. I have a voicemail with one price for each piece, specially quoting $443 for cleaning, ozone something, and heirloom boxing the dress and $50 for the veil including heirloom boxing. I then received an email from the cleaners, quoting $106 for the veil.
I shared the voicemail with them of the original quote (which I have saved and emailed) but they simply stated there was miscommunication between one of their colleagues and themselves. They refused to honor the original quoted price. I told them I wouldn't do business with them now or in the future as it was unethical business practice to refuse to honor the verbal quote.

Very disappointed. I dropped off 9 items this morning for their one day service. After picking the clothes up and opening the plastic there was an overwhelming odor of chemicals and what smelled like lighter fluid. I called and spoke with the owner and she was patronizing and rude. I felt like I was being cross examined. She seemed to doubt my assertion that the clothes have a terrible odor and decided to go on about how long they have been in business and how complicated the dry cleaning business is. I will never use this place again and recommend you don't either.

Brought my wedding dress here after an accident on the dance floor. They couldn't make any promises, but said they'd do their best. It just happens that their best was better than I could have hoped for. I haven't even picked up my dress yet as they're still working on preserving it and boxing it up, but a girl from the store called me and sent me photos because she knew how important this was to me. Thank you Geneva Cleaners for saving me from every brides red wine nightmare!

The train coming out of the city was delayed at night coming home from work. I arrived about 10 min after they closed but a few employees were still cleaning up. I knocked and explained that I was flying out early in the morning and need my dry cleaning for my trip. They opened the door, turned everything back on and rang up my order all with smiles on their face. This act of kindness is the reason I will always go back.

I do not regularly use the Geneva Cleaners, however, I did use them for my wedding day. I did not have my dress altered by the shop where I bought my dress, so I needed to find somewhere else to have my dress pressed before my big day. It cost $75 to have the dress pressed and ready for the day, but it turned out perfectly. The service was very friendly, and they really made me feel special before the big day.
They were also able to get my dress done quickly- I picked it up within 48 hours. I would definitely use this cleaners regularly if it was closer to where I now live. I would highly recommend them for wedding day work if you need!

We have been going here for 3 years and only recently did I have an issue with a garment they cleaned. After an attempt to fix it didn't go well, the owner and manager were very fair with us. They kept our business by doing so, and I feel even more loyal to them now. Car hop service also keeps us going back - so convenient!

We lived in Geneva for 6 years and regularly used Geneva Cleaners. Moving to Montana to retire ten years ago, my wife still misses her cleaners. She misses them so much that I am forbidden to use any of the few remaining paper covered Geneva Cleaners hangers. Only she can use them and many are badly tattered. Strange but true. If I am in the area I will make a trip to Geneva to replentish her now meager hanger supply.
Why the attachment? Geneva Cleaners thoroughly spot checks clothing dropped off and gets those stains out. Rarely will you get one of those cop-out tags that says that the cleaner "tried and tried to remove the stain" and is sorry to have failed. Not so with these guys. If buttons are missing or broken they replace them at no charge. Shirts are perfect. Prices are reasonable. If you need a quick turn-around, they do it. And they are very nice people. You won't find better. Now you see why I can't use any of "her" hangers?
