Kevin has worked in masonry construction, preservation, and restoration for nearly 3 decades, during which time he spent some time in England and Wales studying historic masonry and the methods of craftsmen of old.
Abstract Masonry is no ordinary masonry company. As a historic masonry restoration company, we're not in the business of building new masonry buildings. We restore historic masonry, and simply put-we're really good at it. Restoring historic masonry requires an advanced understanding of the existing masonry materials used and how best to persuade, heal, and liberate them.

Jamie and Richard have been great to work with. We wanted to have at least two sides of the paint removed before the Independence Day celebration activities. They completed three sides of the building, have closely coordinated with the City. We have been very pleased with the work completed by Abstract Masonry.

We had 10 deteriorating sandstone window sills replaced on our 1910 home. Jamie Richter was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done. Andy Norton and his team came out and expertly extracted and replaced them. Andy took the time and crafted some of the sills with his chisel to match the exterior-facing stone. They were clean and professional. I will use Abstract in any future brick/stone/foundational work I need done. Thanks!

I am really impressed by the work done by Jeff, James and Ben. The repairs to the longtime cracks in our masonry and foundation look great, and the new stucco finish on our foundation is indistinguishable from the original stucco. They showed up when they said they would and left the worksite completely cleaned up when they were finished. Thanks!

We are a children's mental health facility, that operates in a historic building, on the historic registry. We are very pleased with the work! Exceptional attention to detail. The craftsmen that did the work were very sensitive and aware of our needs, as they worked around the children. They took safety very seriously, and our staff was very impressed with the care they took, while completing the job. I would highly recommend Abstract Masonry for sure.

I had been looking for a Brick Mason to do some repairs for us here at Kilgore Companies and they were the only company that responded. They did tell me that they were a couple months out but as I had a small job, they may be able to work me in and they did. They communicated very well and did a great job. They will be my go to for all our mason needs.

I received a quote for removing some old graffiti from the back of our house. It was unclear how the previous owners attempted to remove it in the past which left us with some uncertainty about the results. Expectations were appropriately set just in case they were not able to remove it completely. We decided to give it a go anyway with the hopes that it would totally be gone.
They were very easy to work with, testing an area first to see results and with they're process it was disappearing. After treating the entire area I now have a house that no longer has faded graffiti on it! We are very pleased with our experience and the results. I knew that if anyone would remove it, it was Abstract Masonry Restoration. The cost was a on the upper end but totally worth it. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Andy did a FABULOUS job at our house repointing the joints of our sandstone foundation. He was wonderful to work with. I enjoyed talking with him, learning from him, hearing his opinion, and collaborating with him on mortar color.
