For over 55 years, Down's Septic & Drain has provided comprehensive plumbing services both residential and commercial septic and drain systems. Called Downs to get my septic tank pumped out. Total was $550. Nothing additional, just pumped one tank. Guy was nice enough, but the price is twice what others in the area are charging. My leach field is backing up and when I had another company come service it, they asked when I last had it pumped. Told them how much and they laughed and said they are currently charging $275-300. Call someone else.

Called company in morning regarding backed up drain in basement. Justin and TJ were out within 3 hours. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable and quickly had my problems resolved. Used this company when. I had some water back up in my basement. Roto-Rooter attempted to overcharge me without even diagnosing the issue. Called this company to get a 2nd opinion, they were honest, trustworthy, and cost efficient. I will only use them from now on and will recommend them to anyone in need of services! My husband and I were in need of repair to our aging outside drain pipes. Downs Drain & Septic did an outstanding job. Every single employee who came to our house to assess the situation and resolve the problem was amazing! Special thanks to Darryl, Gwyn, Jake, Dave and Jerry. These seasoned professionals showed up on time, were delightfully pleasant and replaced our pipes with great care and skill. And to top it off, the price was reasonable! I would not hesitate to use Downs Drain again in the future.

I have been having septic problems. I called and asked to please send someone out who knew the area and was experienced. I gave them all the information about the property. They showed up for five minutes then said there was nothing they could do. They informed me that I needed to called the water department of Portage county because they do not know the rules of Portage county because they do not service out there.
I paid the service fee because I was grateful for the information. However the information led nowhere and I am back at square one and out $95 for a five min visit for them to tell me what I already told them about the problem. When I called to complain they told me they would call back. They did but I missed the call and they left no message. Then I called and they didn't answer the phone.
I finally receive a callback just for them to tell me they service Portage county with some of their services but not all. This information should have been told to me in the beginning when I explained the situation. Terrible company would not use again.

I should have written before as I have used Downs septic service for a few years. They are unbelievable. Excellent service, knowledge, professional, and very nice. I had a septic back up and when I called I spoke to the owner Randy who informed me they were pretty booked for the day, but he would have Shawn call me. Shawn called me literally as soon as I hung up with Randy. Shawn said they could not be out till 2pm, and I was ok with that.
I got a call 10 minutes later and I was told they were on their way. Randy and Shawn showed up, fixed the problem, and gave me a very reasonable bill. That's Customer service you rarely find today. One other time I had a problem on a Sunday and Randy the owner came out and fixed my problem himself.on Sunday

I was at a gas station and happened to see an employee named Ted complaining about a sandwich to everyone who listened. After it was remade he still wasn't satisfied so he went and complained to the cashier and got a refund. After being unable to use a card reader the cashier had to do it for him. He bought another sandwich and chewed out the cashier again and walked off without the sandwich he paid for.
I don't know if he's going senile but he seems to struggle with simple tasks which is why I wouldn't want Ted working on my drains. He might forget to put a drain plug in somewhere and cause a flood Just make sure if you use this company Ted doesn't come to your house.
