Local Family Owned: In 2001 our business was founded in a Shorewood storefront by the wife of a Joliet policeman. In 2003 they moved the shop to a building on Theodore St. in Joliet and sold the fledgling operation to Bert and Miriam Bolton who continued to grow operations. In 2016 we moved to a larger facility in Crest Hill allowing us to better serve the thousands of people from across the Chicago region and NW Indiana whom we have been priveleged to serve.Whatever the project size, we strive to provide a personalized professional cleaning - whether you have one blind or a thousand.
We can clean just about any type of custom window treatment. From silks to sheers imported from France, we've handled a wide range of projects over the years for our clients with confidence. We can guarantee there will be no shrinkage or fabric damage with our injection-extraction (dry solvent) cleaning method.
We have the equipment and expertise to clean all types of custom blinds and shades. While ultrasonic cleaning does an excellent job on many types of blinds and shades, it isn't the safest or best method for other types of shades. For fabric shades such as Luminettes, Silhouettes or honeycomb shades and many commercial roman shades, an ultrasonic cleaning provides a safe and effective deep cleaning method.
Whatever the proper cleaning method may be for your upholstery, office panels or other custom fabrics, we have the equipment and expertise to take care of it. We clean custom fabric upholstery using methods and cleaning chemistry appropriate to the type/blend of fabrics. No tags or don't know what it is?

We had 2 of our Luminates cleaned and when they returned they were in worse shape then when sent them. The service person, Bert, told us to leave them stacked after he rehung them. We complied and that evening when we went to close them up they would not meet or close flat. The veins where all bowed. Called Friday night received call back on Saturday morning.
Would be squeezed in late Tuesday to steam them. Received a call after 5 on Tuesday telling us he had 2 more stops before us and didn't know when he would get to us. Then Bert told us how slammed he was and would try to fit us in. Wow what a way to treat a cus toner that paid for a service that was poorly performed and now will be squeezed in. Waiting for repairs would give zero s stars if possible.

This is our first time using a Drapery Cleaning service. We called our store where we had recently purchased blinds, & asked for a recommendation for Drapery Cleaning. Bert, & Michaela, from Louvers Lane Blind & Drapery Cleaning, cleaned our Drapes ON SITE! So very satisfied with an excellent job. We had 4 windows that have Swag, some with drapery to the floor. Bert, the owner is very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. We called him on Saturday, and he was to our home on Monday afternoon. We highly recommend this company for all your Drapery & Blind Cleaning.

I took two sets of faux wood blinds here and they did a great job. My white blinds were embarrasingly dirty and they cleaned them up very nicely. The price is so reasonable. Do you really want to clean each and every blind slat front and back? I don't. The people working there were very nice too. I will make this my new blind cleaning place.

We have used this business twice on two separate blind repairs and both times the work has failed on the first attempt to operate. Our first experience with Louvers Lane was when we brought a fabric blind made by Bali in for repair. The strings were broke and the blind no longer functioned. We brought the bling home, hung it and it still didn't work (left side did not drop all the way) even though it was "re-strung".
So we brought it back and we were told "it works fine here". This blind still, to this day, does not close without pulling it from the bottom. We recently brought in another Bali blind for repair for the same issues. We just went end picked it up, hung it and it is having the same problem we had with the first blind. It does not close without pulling it from the bottom.
We are attempting to gain restitution from this store. If we do and our issues are fully corrected, I will update this review. But so far, they're not returning our phone calls. 8-8-2016 as of this date, the store has not returned our call made to them 3 business days ago. It seems they know why we called and have decided to ignore our plea. 8-12-2016 Louvers Lane finally made contact with us after receiving my registered complaint with the BBB.
They made arrangements to come and look into our complaints. Bert looked at the two blinds and admitted there were problems with each. He took the blinds back to his shop for correction. We now have the two blinds back and both are working properly. I have ended my action with the BBB and as far as I'm concerned, this issue is closed. That said, we have a one year material and labor warranty from Louvers Lane on these two blinds. Hopefully, we won't have to use it.

Unless you have the patience and time to wait for your drapes to be dry cleaned, do not take your drapes here! My drapes were sitting in their shop for 2 weeks--untouched! I called 4 times and left messages, to see when they would be ready. Because no one responded, I drove there to find out what was going on. Rang the bell 2 times before an older lady appeared from right behind the dividing wall.
It's like she was just standing there deliberately not wanting to acknowledge that two separate customers walked in and rang the bell. When I asked about my drapes, she simply said it's not ready and doesn't know when it would be ready. (In a very nonchalant way, may I add). As a business owner myself, I was completely thrown off by the blatant disregard, and inquired why no one answers the phone or bothers to call back when I leave messages.
Her response, "Ma'am when we're working in the back, we don't hear the phone ring. I only work here part time, I don't know why no one returned your calls. You will have to speak to the owner". I waited around to speak to the owner, he responded with excuses of how they are very busy and didn't get a chance to get to it. Never an apology! Never an effort to actually clean the drapes for me.
I will never come here again, and I suggest you don't either. Truth is, now a days we don't only pay for a service, we also pay for customer service. Their customer service is simply subpar.

I brought some blinds in to be cleaned and one needed to be repaired. I wasn't sure the blind could be repaired it was really falling apart. Not only was that blind damaged but another blind was also damaged that I didn't even notice. Bert noticed the damage. Bert took a look at both damaged blinds and said they needed to be glued but that it looked like a factory defect and if I would like him to he would call the factory and see if they would replace them.
He did call the factory and they said yes they would replace the blinds. However the factory would not allow Bert to handle this transaction I had to call the company that I ordered the blinds from to have them remade. He tried to get the blinds replaced for me but couldn't. He did write all of the information down for me to do it myself; the name of the company I ordered it from, the number on the blind, and the phone number that I needed to call.
Thanks to Bert I not only got beautifully cleaned blinds in a very timely manner but I also got two brand-new ones. Thanks Bert I'll be back in six months to have them cleaned again

I just had my Hunter Douglas Silhouettes cleaned by Bert. Impeccable service. HD Silhouettes are a significant investment and I was worried about cleaning them. Bert picked them up and returned them 2 days later; this included living room, dining room and kitchen picture windows. They honestly look brand new! As another reviewer stated, he also checked the hardware and replaced support clips.
My kitchen Silhouettes actually had an unidentified splatter on them and it is completely gone! They are bright white again, and I could not be happier. Would recommend to anyone!

Wow! Really great service. When I called Bert he responded quickly and arranged to come to my house to pick up my blinds. I didn't have to lug them somewhere. Then he cleaned and returned them within two days. He could have done it even sooner but our schedules didn't mesh. He showed up right on time or texted to let me know he was running a few minutes late. That's a courtesy that I don't often receive from home service people. Bert knows his blinds.
He was able to clean my extra long Hunter-Douglas shades; another cleaner I called couldn't do it. Also, when he brought the blinds back and reinstalled them, he checked all the hardware and replaced support clips that he thought showed some wear -- no charge! Fabulous.
