We are currently experiencing problems with Spectrum customers getting through to our phone. The Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) is a non-profit educational institute that is the most widely recognized national certification program for chimney sweeps in the United States. The CSIA was developed to educate the public and professionals with the ultimate goal of preventing residential chimney fires, carbon monoxide intrusion, and other chimney and vent-related hazards.Certified Chimney Sweeps have passed rigorous tests that examine their knowledge of the codes, practices, and standards of the trade.
Services
Ferguson's Fireside was founded in 1983 We are a professional full service chimney company. We are excited about some new services we have recently added. In addition to our full line of chimney services, we now offer computers, computer parts, along with computer accessories, home remodeling, landscape design, building of retaining walls, outdoor fireplaces and fire pits.
For prefabricated gas fireplaces and inserts (fireplaces with a glass front - operated by a switch or remote) the cost for service is $225 plus tax inside Stark County and $250 outisde Stark County. If there are parts needing replaced to make the fireplace operational, we can give you an estimate for the repairs at the time of service and can usually perform the repairs on the spot.
Whether you use your fireplace or not, the fireplace and chimney are a substantial system that impacts both the value and safety of your home. We want the chimneys we rebuild to last! The most important part of the job is the masonry crown sometimes called the wash cap of the chimney. This is the area on the top of the chimney that should be made using concrete.
Check out our Virtual Store! We offer a wide variety of products covering just about anything you may need for your chimney or fireplace. All of our products are top quality and installed with precision and care by experienced professionals.

We were referred to this company because of the customer service and work. Our chimney has been leaking when it rains heavily. We had a cap put on and that experience was good. After the cap was put on, it continued to leak. We called back and got the run around several times. We requested someone come out when we were home and they never did. My neighbor said the company came out and looked at it but we were never informed or recieved a call. It is still leaking time to time when it rains heavily. Customer service has not been good after the first experience.

My appointment was set for 12:15 p.m. the technician called at 12:30 stating he was running late due to being with another client. The technician said he was going to be about forty minutes late. I called him again at 1:30 to get it updated ETA. The technician stated he was not far from my home. I canceled my appointment and booked with another company.

My issue is don't have clients waiting over an hour pass their scheduled appointment time for you to come do your job. I understand 10 minutes or even 15 but an hour is unacceptable.

I should be upfront an say I did not directly have my chimney cleaned or inspected by Ferguson. I called looking for service and left a message. I quickly got a call back indicating they do not service my area. John then offered to help locate someone in my area and provided several names. A+ for customer service, I can't tell you how many companies I've called previously and didn't even get a return call. Based on their customer service I highly recommend them.

The guys that came out were knowledgable and professional. They were careful to remove and replace my existing insert without damaging my hearth. They provided a detailed inspection of my fireplace and offered recomendations. My frustration lies with two things. The first is that I was told that it would cost $150.00 to inspect it. If it needed cleaned, it would be another $150.00.

Prior to the work done, I discussed my goal to either go with a gas fireplace or consider electric. After the inspection, it was determined that I would need costly repair work to create a safe setting for a gas fireplace. With this being the case, we discussed electric insert options. From what I concluded, I could have saved the extra 100.00 for cleaning as it would not be necessary for an electric insert.

I would have liked to discussed that option before they went ahead and cleaned it, yet it was cleaned before I had the chance to discuss. Second, Matt was very helpful in quoting out a Napolean electric insert for me and answered all of my questions. I was ready to go with it until I received the quote. The installation for an electric insert was outrageous. $125.00 to place drop clothes on the floor to protect the work area, CRAZY.

The price for the insert was 1700.00 and I found the same thing online for 750.00. I love to support local companies and Fergusons has a great reputation, but the quote was overpriced in my opinion.

I am updating my previous review to add a star because a manager at Ferguson's offered to come out and look at the problem himself and even offered to refund the money in lieu of doing so - which I consider to be excellent customer service, even if the initial execution by the crew was jacked up and I felt ripped off. I will update to 4 or 5 stars if my stove and chimney is indeed inspected, the problem is identified, and a solution is offered to fix it.

As of now, I've had a horrendous initial experience with a crew not doing the job they were hired to do, and a great experience with management indicating they are willing to go above and beyond to try and fix the problem. Until I see how this plays out, I would recommend that you use this business with extreme caution, because some of the crews just seem to be collecting a paycheck and do not seem interested in doing a good job.

They installed a chimney liner for our chimney we had rebuilt by another company. Very professional and detail oriented. The estimator found a device on our furnace exhaust that should not have been used for the installation. He researched it and got advice from a HVAC company on how to remove it. The other company that quoted the liner missed it. I would use Ferguson's again.

We called Ferguson's because they are reputable and have been around for a long time. We were not disappointed! They were very professional and didn't try to charge us for unnecessary cleaning or repairs. They are the only company with certified chimney inspectors and were very informative. We will definitely be having them come back out yearly!

I called Ferguson Fireside for my chimney inspection, cleaning, and cap installation because they are the only CSIA certified company around. Jake and his assistant were incredibly polite, friendly, informative, and professional. They wore booties and gloves to protect my property, explained each estimate breakdown in detail, and even gave me brochures and literature. Plus, they handed me a full print out of my inspection report on the spot. I highly recommend calling these guys for all of your chimney cleaning, inspection, and repair needs! A top-notch team, for sure!
