If I could give 0 stars I would! USE THIS CO AT YOUR OWN RISK! BEWARE! I had a house fire in Feb. I was referred by my home insurance co. to Superior. They came out and fenced it off, secured my property - nice bunch of guys. (Beware of excessive costs with this. Imagine paying thousands for straw rolls placed around you 1425 sq foot home!) WORST EVER when it came time to demo and rebuild. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- the demo was not completed my insurance paid them anyway sight unseen - then they added costs for "labor" they "forgot" in the estimate.
They were paid for that. We had signed a contract with May 1 start date. The guy in charge did not live in San Diego. Anytime to meet had to be on his schedule not after my working hours. So it cost me wages. By the end of Sept. still could not give me a timeline when they could start. At the end of October I couldn't take the inability to provide anything - nothing.
I consulted an attorney and terminated the relationship. Months of nothing all wasted time. Even worse --My independent contractor showed what they had not done and the things they "missed" that had to be done. My claims adjuster even admitted the demo was not complete and that there was more to do than originally estimated. Due to weather the remaining studs they left in place - warped.
This has only added to the stress of losing everything. This added to things I had to do - get their name off permits, pay for a bonded co to pick up plans from the city (they don't allow us to do that) etc. Now 10 months in with a new contractor I have seen more progress in 2 weeks than I saw in the previous 7 months. To complicate things further I now am battling my insurance company because the independent costs slightly more than their guys estimate. I am not changing anything I just wanted my house back like it was! Nightmare company to deal with - hire at your own risk.
