This service deserves less than one star. I scheduled a week in advance for a 10 am appointment on Friday 12/8. We went over all the details of the clean and what I expected. I told them I would not be available during specific hours by phone that morning as I was in with patients. I was told I would be called on Friday morning, and that they would get specific instructions for where I hid the key, directions, and I would give them more cleaning details.
I called Thursday night but they did not answer. I called Friday morning at 8 and left a message describing what I wanted done, directions to my home, and where the key was. I left a detailed note in my home letting the maids know what I required, where everything was at, and when I would be able to be contacted. I called at 9, and had to leave another message, (as they didn't answer their phone), letting them know I would not be available by phone from 9-10, and from 11-12, as I would be busy and in rooms with my patients. THEY ARRIVED MORE THAN AN HOUR LATE!
At 11:07 I received two calls from a number that was not listed on the Maid Service Website (assuming it was one of their cleaners), and two more at 11:23, followed by 2 text messages which were incoherent (I am not a spanish speaker and google could not translate them). These were during times which I specifically told them not to contact me. I tried to call back once I was free, but again, no one answered the phone.
I returned home on my lunch break to find a disgusting house. We had specifically talked about baseboards, picture frames, getting under furniture, making the bed (and that the sheets were in the dryer) and under rugs. All of these places and more were covered in dirt, hair, and debris. The couch was covered in hair, and dusk. The kitchen floor was soaked with water (even the mat in the kitchen was sopping wet) and debris was stuck to the floor, as if it had not been swept before mopping.
The bed was not made, the pictures were covered in dust and hair, and there were dirty areas on the floor that had not been vacuumed or mopped. The house smelled so badly of bleach that I could smell it from the garage below where I live. I had to open all my windows (its 40 out mind you), and take my cats and dog to work so that they were not exposed to these fumes.
I still have not heard from Holy Maid. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone! HORRIBLE! at 4:30 I tried calling Holy Maid again. It directs me to a voice mail box that has not been set up yet. I contacted the number which called me at 11, there was no answer. I now have NO way of contacting Holy Maid to even discuss this issue. Please do not hire them.
