Renaissance Rug Cleaning is wonderful. For over 20 years I have collected Oriental rugs, primarily antique tribal rugs. This year Renaissance Rug Cleaning has provided me with over 15 rug pads and cleaned and repaired a fragile antique tribal rug. The repair and cleaning was top rate. The rug pads are also top rate but the cleaning and repair of my favorite antique tribal rug is why I am writing this recommendation.

I've been bringing my carpets here for years... except one of them that hadn't been cleaned in 25 years and had experienced a lot of 'pet upheavals.' It wasn't a high-end carpet and the backing was just about gone. And they cleaned it as though it was a precious gem. It came out without a scratch and all its colors back and all the old animal traces gone, gone, gone.

Also, really nice people. Also, gave me advice about how to hand clean another carpet that i couldn't afford to get cleaned.

The Turkish rug that I brought to Renaissance Rug Cleaning had numerous rips and holes in it. It has a lot of sentimental value, but I wasn't very hopeful that it could be made new again. I brought an large ~12'x14' rug in to be cleaned. I had no idea about the real condition of the rug, but I did know it was old and not in the best shape. Unfortunately the rug tore while being cleaned. Renaissance informed me of the problem and expertly repaired it to the point that I can't even tell where the damage was. It looks the best it ever has. I will definitely use them again.

We had an emergency with a massive stain on our rug. We called another rug cleaning company that we had used for over 20 years and they were less than helpful. First, they really could not give us any suggestions of what to do at home and second, they were totally unavailable to pick up the rug for a week. We found about Renaissance and called them.

They were wonderful. We received instructions on what to do on an urgent basis (it worked) and then they picked up the rug that day. The delivery folk were wonderful. The cleaning was superb. They were able to clean the wool and silk rugs so it looked new. Well we now know who to call!

Dye leaked from a pet mishap. Did not think it was cleanable because of the maroon bleed into beige. Got the rug back yesterday, I am amazed at the fantastic job. We have been so pleased with all the services from Renaissance Rug Cleaning. We live in Washougal, WA and have some oriental rugs of a large size that are too difficult for us to move, transport and reset after cleaning. Renaissance is willing for a very nominal fee to delivery the rug after cleaning and place in the room where it has come. We also have used them to repair two rugs that belonged to my grandmother so much be over a hundred years old.

They did on both of these rugs a beautiful job: one needed work on binding and the other needed some thin, weak areas rewoven. You will not be disappointed with their work or service ---- very pleasant family people with which to deal.

Renaissance Rug Cleaners are fabulous to work with. Very knowledgeable about how to care for your rugs. I brought in 4 rugs that had been stored dirty for over a decade and they came back looking great! They even did a few minor repairs that I couldn't even tell had been repaired. I'll be using this company from now on for sure!

Really, this is the place to take your fine rugs. Those handwoven ones you treasure. The natural dyes that you worry will be damaged anywhere else. Those special knots or fine fringe. Renaissance Rug Cleaning is the best. Their hand washing techniques respect the integrity of the rugs that were made to be so beautiful. I have taken my lovely Turkish rug, woven in a yurt from local natural dyes, to be cleaned twice in about 8 years.

Both times they did an excellent job. The staff will measure carefully, look deeply for any issues, identify your rug with great accuracy, and do minor repairs included in the wash price. (I assume they do more extensive repairs for customers, but I have not needed that) Their pricing is fair and their process careful and thorough. If you value the artistry and cultural/historical beauty of your area rugs, you will take them here. They do a wide range of types of rugs, (synthetic dyes too, I think) and it's an education to drop off or pick up your rug to see what else others are bringing in. They also pick up from your home, if you need that. A great company. I have no worries taking my rug there. Am exceedingly pleased with the outcome.

Renaissance is the premier rug washing and restoration company in the NW. They are the only company I would recommend for hand washing & rug repair in Portland Oregon. Renaissance has saved my rugs from, wine spills, pet pee, coffee stains, a green smoothie, and a piece of chocolate cake that fell off the table. Without Renaissance, my rugs would be stained and forlorn.

Randy & his assistant showed up right on time. Their artful, very efficient technique for taking rugs out from under heavy furniture was fascinating to watch. The cleaned rugs almost glow and their process for putting them back in place was as impressive as the removal. We're very happy with the results and pleased with the new thinner, non-skid pads on the hallway runners.

We just had 2 Gabbeh rugs cleaned and repaired by Reanissance Rug Cleaning . One of the rugs was over 15 years old and had never been cleaned before. Both rugs came back looking like new. In fact, they looked so good that we sent 2 more rugs to be cleaned. The service in the office and in the field was very helpful , friendly and professional.

Fantastic! Renaissance did a super job on 5 of my rugs - persian, afghani and turkish. Their work is meticulous and very reasonably priced (especially compared to several of the other rug cleaners/repairers in town.) They gave me a little tour of their facilities, which was fascinating, and which clearly showed the individual attention they give to each rug. Plus, their turnaround time is great. If I could give them ten stars I would!

We have used Rnaissance many times had have always been very happy with their work. Not only have we had carpets cleaned but also repaired and appraised. I especially appreciate their knowledge of oriental carpets. I recently had antique carpets appraised that were purchase many years ago in Iran for my brother's estate. Their knowledge is amazing.

Recommended by our vet due to furry companion little accident on our Karastan wool rug. Called Jennifer to inquire about it. She was super helpful and I ended up bringing our rug in to be cleaned. They completed it in a week, it looks great and at pick up the other lady (name slips my mind) was super helpful about providing us with a pamphlet about how to treat different kind of stains with which kind of process/cleaners in case something like this happened again.
