You do NOT find service, integrity, or professionalism like this anymore. Richard came over to clean my very large sectional 2 months ago. Rather than receive a large payment for cleaning and services, he was honest and full of integrity when he noticed that my couch had already been treated with a damaging solvent due to another company's mistake and said that he couldn't in good standing clean my couch.
He left without getting paid. He did not bad mouth the other company, but he was honest and did not want to clean something that was truly ruined in the long run by another company. I know he could have made our couch look better (or descent) that day but he, instead, chose to do the right thing and voice his professional opinion. We have been working with Richard for years and years.
And with my house of 3 boys and a dog, he gets out every stain. I haven't wanted to shop him around because I value his services, but when I talk to others about how much their upholstery cleaning is, Richard is consistent if not less than other high quality upholster cleaners in the Dallas area. Richard is a class act. If you experience anything other than great service, honest pricing, and professional expertise, it's time to switch companies and call Aqualux.

What a wonderful, high-quality experience. The tech's name was Richard and his customer service, professionalism and 10/10 cleaning work were top of the line. He came early, he did a thorough clean of our couch and carpets - the pet smells are gone & the couch looks close to brand new. I plan to use again in the future. If you book an appt ask for Richard!

I have a viscose rug - which is higher-maintenance and a delicate material, so I wanted to make sure I hired someone who knew what they were doing. The Aqualux team was knowledgable and knew how to care for my rug as they deep cleaned animal urine stains out of it. Very professional, punctual, and quality service! Thank you Richard and team!

These guys are definitely 5 star! I had previously used a different company - never again. Richard has come to my home on two separate occasions and has now cleaned everything from my Rug, sofa, chairs and stools. The work is not just great, it is excellent. In fact, my "stone-white" sectional sofa looks new again! Not only professional, Richard is incredibly knowledgeable about many different types of materials and will tell you exactly what you can expect. Very straightforward, direct and certainly does a fantastic job. It is obvious he takes pride in his work - so if you want the best, call Aqualux (Knox St)!

I had an 8ftx10ft area rug that my dog had thrown up on months ago. I originally called Stanley Steamer and they told me it would be over $350 and they would need to come take the rug and have it for 2-3 weeks. I called Aqualux and Richard came out two days later, spent 30 minutes at my house, and the rug was clean and the stain was totally gone. Another bonus, it cost me less than $200! They're awesome, I will not hesitate to use them again!

We have had Richard come out to our home twice (first to clean carpets and second to clean upholstery) and we have had an awesome experience. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and my favorite thing about Aqualux is that they do not use harsh chemicals when cleaning. We have been so satisfied that we will be having them come back out to Scotch Guard our brand new couch to keep it looking nice. Coming from a repeat customer, I would highly recommend using Aqualux.

I shop for services on Google maps and generally lean toward ones with high ratings. Sometimes you think its a fluke or there's no way a business could have that high or that low of a rating. After having Richard with Aqualux come out and help us with the stained carpet we had, I can see why they have such an excellent rating on here. Professional and thorough is what you need when you need a job done right, and these guys deliver! Fair price and exceptional work. You'll end up saving their number for the next time you need carpet or rugs cleaned like I did!

Like many of the folks on this page, I spoke to Richard after getting a great review from my sister about the cleaning he does at their house. They have a dog too, and get their whole house cleaned for about $300. For context, I live in a three story townhome, which I know could have an effect on price given it can be a pain to lug equipment and I was very transparent about that when I spoke to Richard.
All I needed cleaned were two bedrooms and the hall that connected them. A friend and her two Yorkie's lived with me and so I was more concerned about cleaning her room, although there were no visible stains or nothing I could smell. Richard was great on the phone, estimating about $250 - give or take. I know that's a lot but I had heard great things, and was ready to spend the money for a good cleaning.
The guy that showed up wasn't Richard. When I opened the door it seemed like he already had an attitude which got worse when I told him the carpet was on the third floor. Then as we got into the room, he asked if I had pets, and I said not anymore, but for about a year. Well - apparently he could smell the urine on the first floor - really? The Diagnosis, after closing blinds and running a black light was "that there was urine everywhere.
It was everywhere and it had seeped into the pad and the only solution was to change the carpet" Then he told me that he could probably get out about 50% of the stuff out but I may need to think about replacing the pad. Then he tells me it's $350 for just the one room and hall - the other bedroom is another $50. All this was conveyed to me like it was a disaster, and that he couldn't believe I couldn't smell it, see it, etc.
I was a little startled at the cost and the fact that he's telling me my carpet is not salvageable. I was not prepared to pay that much so I told him I'll wait to do this. His response - "Well, what did you think was going to happen?". Clearly he was agitated that I wasn't willing to just spend the money and he wasn't going to make a sale.
I asked 4 different people, including my handyman, the AC repair guy, my neighbor and my sister to see if there was a smell - nothing. To be honest, there probably is some urine in that room with pets in there, but the way this person tried so hard to freak me out, upsell me, then get irritated that I just wouldn't do what he said was terrible. $400 for two bedrooms and a hall is really not cool. All I wanted was a cleaning at a reasonable price. Maybe it's different when Richard comes out.

If you have a pet who has made a mess in your house or some other carpet catastrophe, make these guys your first call -- particularly if you have carpets that have wool blends, silks and even your orientals. They are professional, reliable and so courteous -- they will be very straightforward with what they can and cannot do but their results, even with some very challenging carpet types have been spectacular. Richard, our technician, was very thorough as to what we could expect. This is every pet owners best friend!

Aqualux is my go to for carpet cleaning and remediation! I have used Aqualux for years in my own home and, as a Realtor, I have recommend them to all my clients in need of carpet cleaning and/or odor elimination. Aqualux has done miracles for me and my clients and are always courteous, honest, and on time. I am always hesitant to recommend any company to my clients as it is a reflection on me, but Aqualux is one of very few I have no hesitation in recommending. I can't say enough good things about this company; you won't be disappointed!

They are just the best. Richard did an outstanding job and did the job very quickly. We are expecting our first child end of this month, and they were every nesting woman's dream. Richard came in, explained each and every product he was going to use, went over their process and what results I would get. He truly knows his craft. He even gave me some pointers on washing my rocker slipcover after the baby arrives.
He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the overall product. I can say without a doubt I will use Aqualux over and over again. My carpets look better than the day they were installed.

I have used Aqualux more than 7 times over the past 4-5 years. I have nothing negative to say about them. Always on time, set expectations ACCURATELY, and do exactly what they say. Richard is the guy that has always come by and we always go over what the expectations are and what he can do. If there are particularly tough stains then he'd explain what it would require to take it out and associated costs.
We had a pepto bismol stain that caused issues and Richard said he would do the best he could without increasing cost, and that's exactly what he did. Pricing is very fair and they are willing to work with your budget, within reason.

Please note that I did not actually have Aqualux service performed because I never got that far. This review is simply on my experience trying to give them my business. I was looking for a company to do upholstery cleaning on a couch, ottoman and chair. I had already gotten quotes with 4 other companies, but based on positive reviews I wanted to reach out to Aqualux.
I spoke with a sales associate, Richard, who was to put it nicely, a strong salesman. He was knowledgeable about the product and was good at highlighting the benefits, but was extremely aggressive in his pitch. He gave me a quote over the phone that was $100 over the next highest competitive bid and nearly $150-$175 over all the other bids. I pointed this out and his response was simply you get what you pay for.
After asking how we could work on the price, thinking perhaps there were different level cleaning options, or maybe they were running a special or giving a multi-piece discount as many of the other companies do. He became rude and basically said you want the Mercedes but you can't afford the Mercedes so you just have to go someone else. I've never known a company not to work with a first time customer on price and basically tell them to go with another company, so I was a bit speechless.
I left the phone call feeling convinced on the product but confused on the customer service, or lack thereof, I just received. I called back the second day, and Richard didn't remember who I was so I started from the beginning. We landed in the same place. After explaining that I'd like to give him my business, but needed to work on the budget, he again said the price is firm and the way to reduce the price is to reduce the number of pieces (really!?) He said he would talk with his manager and get back to me, which of course never happened.
So I wrote to another sales rep to see if she could help me. I explained that I was surprised at the lack of flexibility or willingness to work with me and she sent me back to Richard. I asked to speak with a supervisor and instead of having a supervisor call me, I was told anyone of them could help me. So after feeling blocked and frustrated, I decided to move onto another company.
I don't care how good your product is, if I have to work that hard to give you my business before we even get started, there's something wrong. As I said, I can't testify to their actual service, only the lack of flexibility in their high prices and poor customer service.

Had a kiddo get sick in the middle of the night. Saw this company's reviews and called to leave a message for a return call at midnight but was surprised when they answered. Even though they are closed on Sundays they had a technician out to our house at 8:00 am and took care of our issue. We are very satisfied and will use them again when we need our carpets cleaned.

Looks like you need to make sure you read the "flagged" reviews here at Yelp. Aqualux's "displayed" reviews are all good. I would say this place is average to better than average. They low-balled me $125 on the phone. The technician claims this is because people in the office underestimate jobs, but I know exactly how much square footage of carpeting I have, and I told them so.
I am sure that all places that do a average to better than average job have to low-ball you on the phone or you would never ask them to do the job, and you would just have one of the low priced crappy places do it. A long time ago I used one of those $99 deals with another establishment, and they did a horrible job. Aqualux did do an average to good job, but I feel it was too expensive.
As far as carpet cleaning goes, always request the newer double brush extraction method over the wand method of cleaning. The double brush extraction method is much better than wand. Next try to pin them down on a price for that method on the phone, and maybe be ready to turn them away when they do not honor the price in person. I know that is a hassle but they will not want to miss out on the job either, so I imagine you can bring them down some on price by threatening to send them away.
Again I believe most if not all carpet companies low-ball, and manipulate review sites like yelp, so it's not like these guys are any worse than anyone else, but they probably are not much better, if at all.

Update: Called Aqualux for a barbecue sauce stain and a spot my new dog left on our floor (had heard they are good with pet stains/odor). Brent made some time the same week to come out and take care of the spots. The dog urine stain was completely gone, and he also completely removed the barbecue sauce stain, which he said was actually dog vomit (my dog had been sick a few weeks prior).
He even cleaned the rest of the floor for good measure to make sure there was no pet odor. Super satisfied and they will definitely be my go-to carpet cleaners in the future. --- My original post: We called Aqualux when our house suddenly flooded. They came and helped us ASAP to get our furniture moved and carpets/linoleum pulled out. He was super up front with us about the costs and how much damage there may be. He then came back every few days and tested the walls for mold. Because he was so fast getting there and getting the water out, we had no damage to our walls at all.

We called Aqualux on short notice to get carpets and furniture cleaned at our church. The job ended up being a cross between a commercial and residential job. I was impressed with the effort to get us on the schedule and the quality of the work. Aqualux gets an A+ on customer service. The prices were more than reasonable. I will use them at home and would recommend them to others.
