Although not officially incorporated until 1957, Comet Cleaner's history dates all the way back to the 1920's where founder R.L. "Jack" Godfrey opened his first dry cleaning store. Comet Cleaners has remained in the Godfrey family ever since, with Jack Godfrey, Jr. becoming the third generation to own and operate the franchise.

-Service is no better than their competitors.they are just conveniently located in the neighborhood - You'll never get 100% of your cleaning and laundry items serviced as per your request - Rarely have I been able to get my order completed as requested X - clearly-marked bags has not worked X - reporting errors to the home office brings no resolve X- a representative even called me to to ask what could be done, but after my response, I heard nothing from The representative X- they are not concerned about the wasting of the client's time.having to return to the store because a job was not completed as requested After about 5-10 episodes of trying to resolve these issues, I simply resolve that the professional expertise is not there above and beyond basic cleaning services.
Use these folks for basic cleaning and laundry requests, and spend a few dollars more at a more professional cleaning establishment for your specialty items. Otherwise, your time will be wasted traveling back and forth to complain. In one case, I attempted 3 times to get heavy starch on a 2 piece outfit. One piece was laundered properly, but the other exact piece could not receive the same process. Some time ago, I had the opportunity rate COMET CLEANERS, and I opted to complain to them directly. I have used this cleaners often due to the proximity to my home. The prices are a little steeper than I would like but that's a sacrifice I make for the convenience. Today I returned a pair of jeans that I had laundered and requested specifically "NO STARCH". The jeans had been laundered with heavy starch. The receipt indicated no starch so I didn't anticipate any issues.
When I discussed my grievance with the young lady working she started going on about how I should have requested dry clean as opposed to laundry because of how they press the cloths while their still wet. My issues is I requested NO STARCH and it was clearly indicated on my receipt. If that was not possible, I should have been told in advance. When a customer comes in with a legitimate complaint, don't argue and debate with them.
Acknowledge the mistake and correct the issue so that you have another opportunity to continue with their business. Unfortunately that was not the case today and I will be moving my business elsewhere.

I am extremely upset and dissapointed on how i was treated at Comet Cleaners today, The guy in charge by the name of Albert was extremely rude to me, simply because i wanted to pay for my service half cash/ and half Card. he yelled and insulted me. he walked outside of the cleaners to go and tell my husband that i was causing trouble the last time i had went in to the cleaners because i wanted to pay partial cash and card as well. he is very rude and unprofessional and it is a shame that the owner at Comet Cleaners would allow for their place of Buisness to treat their customers in this degrading way.i will never go back to this place also fyi. They quote you a certain amount for your laundry then when you go to pick up its an outrageous price. Beware

I have dealt with so many cleaners and many times they would get my things wrong. I must say when i was looking for a new cleaners i was hesitant. When i arrived my guy Albert said he would take care of me and that he did. I have used their service twice and have not been disappointed. Even on the second time when i was flipping out about a missing piece. Albert was really helpful. He actually moved very quickly and had them ready for me before i got out the door. I will recommend them for any of your cleaning needs. They are amazing.

I have tried another dry cleaner in this area and I never had that "feel good" feeling. I started using Comet cleaners last year and I have to say that I genuinely enjoy my experience so far. When I go there they remember me and some call me by name. It's nice that they have that mom and pop shop feel, despite being in a big town. Aside from the super awesome staff, the owner is so nice too.
He knows my fiance and I by name and that means a lot. He even asks how my fiance is doing when he doesn't see him for a little bit. I'll say that they have come to the rescue for me. I have a puppy and when he was still very little he had an accident on my bed. I unfortunately have a duvet with a very bulky down feather insert in it. I panicked and called Comet and the owner eased my worry and told me to bring the whole mess to him and he would fix it! :) he also joked and told me puppies were his best customers! I brought my mess in a trash bag to him and when I got it back it was perfect and bright white, like nothing had ever happened. :)

Been going here since getting bad service in fate Cowboy cleaner, I have gotten great service here and the place is very clean from what I can see. Albert the Lead employee remembered me by name and is helpful and Loaded my garments into my car which was nice of him. The clothes comes out nice and bright which is what you really want when going to a cleaners.

This was my 1st time using comet cleaners and it was horrible. Joel is very rude by talking over you and doesn't let you get a word in. Like most folks, I too work in customer service and I would never talk over a client. He literally did not let me get a word in all he did was push his masculinity on to me and that is not OK. He had given me a price on what it would cost to clean, hem, and put a new zipper on a pair of pants.
He had called me first to get my consent before he submitted my garment to get serviced, and I really appreciated that. Per Joel it was going to be around $30, but come pick up time it was over $50. Now I can understand $5 maybe $10 over the original price given but over $20 made me feel lied to and take advantage of. He backtracked on his whole story was rude talking over me and mind you I was calm and cool and was only trying to remind him of the price he had originally given me but he did not wanna hear it.
This is an error on his part because point blank they did not service my garment until Joel got a verbal consent from me first because he thought at $30 something dollars for those 3 services was going to be a price I wouldn't pay but I was good with that price so I consented. Had he told me it was going to be more than $50 I absolutely would have said NO and would have agreed with Joel that the pants are just not worth it.
I believe that his defensiveness was because he got caught in a lie and or maybe even a simple error. But that doesnt warrant his tone with me. It was so offensive I had to hang up on him. I called back a few moments later in hopes that the front desk lady would answer but no answer and no vm box. So Joel if your reading this all I wanted to say was I'll swing by in early Jan when I return from out of town to get my pants please dont trash them =.

Sadly, the folks at Comet cleaners lost an expensive pair of pants belonging to my husband. When we told comet cleaners, we were informed the owner would call. We waited, no call. Finally we called the owner who was dismissive to us. Asked for our receipt, which we produced for him. He then said he didn't lose them. We asked him to find the pants, he told us that he had documentation showing the pants were returned to us.
We asked for a copy of his documentation and he said he would mail it. 2 12 weeks later, no documentation. We called today and he started SCREAMING on the phone! He threatened my assistant, he said he would sue us ( really? HE lost the pants!) and he was highly unprofessional, angry, juvenile and downright mean spirited! Wow. A grown man screaming is not what we expected. My assistant was very calm and polite, he was not. Now my husband has a custom tailored suit with no pants! What the heck? Shameful and disgusting business practice!
