Most unprofessional service I've dealt with in a long while. Don't waste your time. Even asking for an estimate was too much to for them follow through with. Requested an estimate for a initial cleaning. Barbi Davis, president of the organization, came to my house on October 7th and was very dismissive and short. Walked the area needing to be cleaned then said that she would email me an estimate.
She said they did have an opening on October 13th to clean the house. Having received nothing, I sent an email on October 11th stating that I needed the estimate prior to any service being rendered. As of 17:30 on the on the 12th, there has been zero followup from the company. Fortunately, I was taking bids and scheduled another company that was more than willing to have the business. If Teays Maids can't be bothered to give an estimate, I seriously question their ability to meet any expectations when it comes to cleaning.

I would give negative stars i f I could. Any company that excuses and defends shoddy work, horribly miserable rude employees and that is willing to lie to customers should get no stars. I never bother to write reviews, but this is unacceptable. me: I'm not sure, I definitely get a terrible attitude from the woman who drives the white car. I've asked three weeks in a row for her to text me when they leave so I can go back inside and she will not.
They also only spend about a half hour and i don't feel they are being thorough. My bathroom smells worse after having it cleaned once a week than it did when I was only able to clean it every two weeks or so. I feel like I have to clean ahead of them (which I get) And behind them (which I should not have to do). And last week there were two rooms they didn't have to clean And still weren't thorough they didn't even touch the shower or the bathroom floor last week Them: Both of the ladies that we've been sending to your house tend to be fairly cut and dry personality wise.
I will say we've told all the employees sending texts/giving out their personal cell numbers is up to them, if we have a request for texts when finishing up and they don't want to be the ones to text I have them let me know so I can let the customer know. Though I'm not sure why they wouldn't let you or I know this. We always try to start by working with the team to make sure they understand issues and are able to learn from any problems.
I will talk to them about their time, being thorough and making sure everything is being done correctly. I can take you off for tomorrow, or Barbi or I will can come out tomorrow while they're there and do a quality check on the team, to see how things have been done. In the future please don't hesitate to call immediately if there are issues, that way we can have them come fix anything that needs it so you aren't having to go behind them to do things that were missed or not done well. Me: if they didn't feel comfortable texting they shouldn't have said they would.
And they were friendly And had no problem texting me they were done before I expressed concern to Barbi that they had totally missed an entire area. Also, it's more than cut and dry it's plain unfriendly and rude. Not my jam. I don't appreciate excuses for your employees unfriendly and rude attitudes. I'll speak to Barbi tomorrow, I'm the meantime what do you have available for next week final result: we got dropped from the schedule permanently.

Didn't even show up for initial appointment. Travis called to confirm noon appointment at 10:24. At 11:54 calls to tell me he is about 25 miles away, stuck in traffic. When I asked why he waited so long to head my way, or call 6 minutes before appointment time, his reply was "well, I just don't think we can do business ". After reading other reviews, it appears this actually turned out to be a good thing.

We've had Teays Maids come a few times -- but this time was the VERY BEST! I could not have been more pleased! I prepared the house -- removing knick-knacks from shelves and clearing surfaces as best I could so that they could actually clean -- and was so pleased with the results. I also left them notes outlining special projects I wanted them to accomplish -- such as wiping down the leather couch and cleaning the louvered-door slats -- and they did everything on my list. We came home to a home which actually sparkled! We will definitely hire them again.

Set up an appointment for a deep house cleaning, which was going to cost me over $600 dollars. They showed up and hour and a half late with 2 people and 2 more showed up about 2 hours later. They spilled murphys oil on our carpet missed dust in the lights, did not get all the dust off the ceiling fans and missed a lot more areas in every room. They also were not able to complete the job in one day as agreed in the estimate.
We decided that we were unhappy with the work complete so far and decided to cancel the rest of the cleaning and get the first part prorated. When we called they gave us a price of almost $400 dollars for several rooms that they partially completed. We agreed to let them finish, but when they were an hour late for the follow up we decided to cancel again. This has been an aweful over priced experience. You definetly do not get what you pay for with Teays Maids.
We decided that we were unhappy with the work complete so far and decided to cancel the rest of the cleaning and get the first part prorated. Teays Maids Never have used anyone like this before, but decided to have my Dads home cleaned by them after we had moved everything out of the home. Called up and spoke to a young man who said he would have to come see the home and give me an estimate- I believe his name is Travis. When he arrived at the home, I told him I wanted "everything cleaned inside out, walls wiped down, and windows inside out".
He gave me a cost of : $450.00. I thought this was a little high for a empty home, but agreed. Now there is a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer, and 1 bathroom. So I expected them to be very clean. When we came in we found the bathroom still dirty, the laundry room had not been touched. So he sent out a second crew. Bathroom was a little better.
They told me they couldn't get what was on the front of the commode, so I got down and scrubbed it off with a scrub sponge, and got it clean. Here are pictures of what I'm left with to clean, after paying $450.00. In their defense, Travis said he'd come back and do it himself, for a 3rd time, I told him no, that I'd rather do it and get it done right.
I did request at least a partial refund, which he quickly said no to. I'd would not recommend "Teays Maids", to anyone, my experience with them had been a very poor one. Just ranting!

If I could leave a rating less than one star I would. Their service was poor for the price. Instead of our home smelling clean, it wreaked of smoke from the chain-smoking housekeepers and the "deep clean" seemed more like a regular clean with dusting of the light fixtures. I feel like we've been had. Paid an outrageous amount for the initial clean, but will never use again.

This company epitomizes poor customer service. After getting a rag stuck in my food dispenser, they refused to pay the $130 bill to have it fixed. The owner is anything but helpful and was always aggressive in conversation. Overall, the cleaning was sub par. I've had other cleaners do a much better job for less money. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a quality housecleaning company.
