Hired them this morning to help clean plexi glass in my building. Sent pics of the job and said they could do it for their usual hourly rate but it was a $300 minimum. A fair deal for what we were looking to do. It is my understanding they were told the process of cleaning was more of scrubbing and it was going to take some manual labor and elbow grease to get the job done.
Upon showing up this morning the 4 guys were 30 mins late and stood there basically laughing at me when I told them the process. While they were the phone with their boss I started cleaning it to show how simple it was. I finished two 8'x4' panels by the time they were off the phone. They tried to strong arm me for $1000 guarantee. we told them no thanks.
Not only did I not receive the help I was looking for for the price we agreed upon, I got to clean the glass in front of an audience for about an hour. I'd suggest using people that do not shy away from some hard work. no doubt these guys screwed their employer for an he's worth of time while they whined about scrubbing glass with a sponge.
