Grout Medic

Incredible. That's all I can say. We are flipping a home in East Sac. The tile looked old, black, and gross. We were considering completely ripping out the bathroom and remodeling but thought we would try these guys as I saw them in a magazine that I get in the mail. First, they squeezed me in to their schedule, even after I kind of screwed them over with scheduling postponements.

They made the shower look like it was tiled yesterday. Grout lines are white and the shower looks amazing. The bad news is the rest of the bathroom now looks kind of crappy, but not their fault, of course, or maybe it is, they made the shower look too good. These guys are great. I will definitely hire them again for remodels and recommend them to home owners getting ready to list their homes for sale.

Not sure yet. The kid spent more time in his van on his phone than in my bathroom. I hope he sis a good job.

This company was exceptionally rude to my senior citizen mother after she objected to quality of the work. They are awfully sweet when trying to get your money but if you are unhappy with the slipshod work and ask for it to be fixed, you get the runaround. Beware.

Well. I did have high hopes, and maybe that is part of the disappointment. I had seen pictures of some of their grout transformations, and although none of mine was in terrible condition, I was looking forward to a my grout universally matching better by the time they finished. They get points for being on-time, for the overall grout repair and the showers actually look pretty good (Not great), but other than the repair around the sink and stove, the rest of the kitchen counters look almost exactly like they did before the tech arrived (Discolored and worn).

I was thinking there would be some steam cleaning involved, or some method they performed that I couldn't do myself, but that ended up not really being the case. In the end, I paid them in full, but truly believe that I could have done the same work myself in an 8 hour day, and saved myself a bunch of money.

The Grout Medic was very fast and responsive. I had missing/broken grout in my tile kitchen floor. I also had 8 cracked tiles. I did not have to wait long before they showed up, replaced the cracked tiles, and regrouted where there were gaps. Then went over all the grout in the kitchen, making sure the grout matched everywhere. It looks like a new floor! All for less than $1000. Very pleased.

We hired The Grout Medic to fix tile in our kitchen that had buckled up with the grout popping out. The sent a technician out on a Sunday and he did a fantastic job, carefully taking out the tile that had popped up without breaking them. (We had no spare tiles at the time.) He was able to lay the tile back down, and fill in the other tiles that had partially come up. We are extremely happy with the results.

We hired The Grout Medic to repair and clean the grout in a large custom shower. There were several areas where the grout was cracked or even missing. The service man did an excellent job, matching the existing grout, making repairs and cleaning the existing. I highly recommend The Grout Medic

I called the Grout Medic to provide a bid to clean and restore the tile grout in one small shower in our Carmichael home, as well as to do two simple grout lines in a shower / tub and one grout line in our kitchen. The estimator told me he could make the shower look brand new and the grout lines for $700, so I accepted his proposal and scheduled the work to be done.

The technician, who is a different employee than the estimator, came out and was at the house for only one hour and a half, did such a poor job on the shower that it looked like nothing had been done to it. Additionally, the grout line in the kitchen and tub was 3 times as thick as the existing and looked terrible. I called to inform the office manager of what had happened and asked her to send out the original estimator to see the poor work and let her know it needed to be redone.

I was told he was not available. She sent another employee who tried to sideskirt the terrible workmanship and tried to tell me the estimator should have not bid it as he did, but rather he should have bid it as a total regrout which would have more than doubled the price. I expected an apology for the poor work and them to make it right. Instead they demanded payment.

Please tell me how charge $700 for one and half hours of time, and the job not performed as bid. Not only did Grout Medic not take responsibility for the poor workmanship they also did not take responsibility to make it right, and instead demanded payment for the work that was not done right and said that if I wanted the shower to look restored I needed to pay them for that invoice PLUS the cost to regrout the whole shower!

Their office manager proceeded to be rude in demanding payment, and rude in not respecting my request to please send the original estimator. How can the company not stand behind their original estimate, nor stand behind their work? They are demanding payment of $700 even though they did not perform the work and now have to hire someone to undo all the grout lines they messed up.

The owner of the company then proceeded to send a certified letter informing us that he is filing a lien for the work not performed and the grout that I now have to redo. My husband and I now are in the difficult position of having to take this to small claims court. Unbelievable.

We have a 31-yr old house with 2.5 baths, 2 of which were in desperate need of regrouting. We needed it done before the holidays, and we got two reschedules, both earlier, that accomplished just that. Heri arrived early. He was considerate, careful, and seemed so trustworthy we even went out to do some errands when he moved to the second bath. We then discovered how competent he was: both my wife and I, separately, looked at the downstairs bath and exclaimed, "this looks like new!" He then proceeded to finish early, leaving us with more of our day, and two perfect tile areas that had been lingering on our must-get-done list. We could not have had a better experience. We had a VERY good experience with The Grout Medic. They were always easy to get on the phone, and when they came out to give us a quote, they were reasonable in their pricing. There was unfortunately some frustration with them canceling our project last minute the day the project was to start (but we did appreciate their staff calling in sick if they were feeling ill). However, they were able to come the next day and knock the project out in less than two days.

We had our shower steam cleaned and re-grouted in certain areas, along with a new tile floor placed. John, Gabriel, and Ron all did great work. They took their time and were all very knowledgeable with their products. We will definitely use The Grout Medics again in the future!

Made an appointment to get an estimate for my job. On the day of my appointment, no one showed, and no one called to let me know that they wouldn't show. Totally understandable if my appointment needed to be rescheduled (things happen) but to no show and no call is unprofessional. Additionally, I messaged Susie (who had set my estimate appointment) to let her know that no one showed and there was no acknowledgement from her.

We had an estimate for work to be performed today, August 30th. We unfortunately ran into a financial situation over the weekend and could not afford the $2000 repair and requested to have it moved out a couple of months. Instead of providing us with another date or having some compassion for our situation, the Manager at this facility berated us and told us to take our business elsewhere.

We understand planning and resources, but somethings just can't be helped. Rude and intolerant behavior by a company official no matter how good your work is should not have to be tolerated by people who will pay your bills. Shame on you!

Great local business. They were responsive and quick to do the work despite being very busy. They did a great job deep cleaning and regrouting bathroom tiles and sinks. Very professional and a pleasure to work with.

I needed six cracked marble tiles replaced and the estimate I received was 1/3 the amount given by a local tile person. The work was completed in exactly two hours and the new tiles are perfect. John, who performed the work, was professional and informative. He did a superb job and certainly knew what he was doing. I could not be any happier and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Another update. The Grout Medic came back out to fix two cracked tiles. They squeezed us in because we are in a pinch getting the home ready for sale. They were absolutely fabulous again. The job was done perfectly and their team was superb from the back office through the technician. I am so grateful!

We just had the Grout Medic re-grout our entire house that has approximately 800 square feet of tile. Jimmy came out and gave us an estimate within 48 hours of me requesting an estimate. He was very professional and gave me a quote that day. He then called me within 48 hours and scheduled when he could come do the work. They estimated two days of work which I thought was very reasonable.

We had them come do the work while we were out of town so that we were not in the way. Jimmy was very professional when I spoke to him and the work he did was amazing! I highly, highly recommend him and this company.

We had a great experience from the estimate appointment to the service. I felt the price was fair and the work turned out better than I expected. He arrived on time and finished quicker than expected. We did a walkthrough and everything was cleaned. Would definitely recommend and use them again

I have had an incredibly positive experience with The Grout Medic. We had three stall showers that needed some grout crack repair / cosmetic improvement. After doing some research, I contacted The Grout Medic and within a couple of days, was visited by representative who provided an on-the-spot quote. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the job quote was.

I scheduled the work to be done the following week. A gentleman named Gabriel arrived today. on time to do the work. He was efficient, courteous, and professional. Most importantly, he did a high-quality job. With his help, we were able to match the grout color / tone perfectly. The showers now look new. I highly recommend this company.

I recently posted a very negative review for the Grout Medic, . the next day I received a call very nice call from Amy, . she wanted to know what my concerns were. So, . i told her how their repairman totally dropped the ball. She apologized, . & asked me to send a few pic's, . I did, . She called back & agreed that didn't do the job correctly.

We scheduled an appointment to make things right. This new guy did an AWESOME job, .! We are VERY Happy, .! Through this whole ordeal, .I must bear some responsibility, .I should have called sooner, . I think, had I done that, . this would not have escalated. Happy to give them a 5 Star Review, . Jack W.
