Bales Carpet Cleaning

I'll give 2 stars for the friendly woman in the office and the kind demeanor of the installer. But I found the rest of the experience with Bales to be frustrating. These are not professionals. They lack training and skill, and are generally incompetent. If you try to call them out on things then Larry becomes very defensive and combative, and extremely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor, and possibly pay a bit more, hire a professional. I DO NOT recommend Bales.

Contacted Bales the day after we had a pipe burst in our basement. Daryl was out that day to assess the situation and devise a plan for drying out the basement and saving our wood flooring. Once we got the basement dry, Larry took over the restoration project, fought with our insurance company to ensure we received full value for the damaged area and we decided to add some additional work to the project, including painting our main level.

The house looks fantastic. The main painter, Zac was as nice as could be, worked his butt off, and made sure that every day before he left the house was clean so we could live normally while they completed the job. Would absolutely use again

We have used this company for two major home improvement projects. One was the finishing of a complete lower level in our villa, 2013 and a total remodeling of our master bath, 2020. We found the owner, Bob Bales very easy to work with. He has great product knowledge and knows what materials will work best for the task at hand. He shared his expertise and contacts with us which saved us some money. L He and his crew were always punctual and on occasion stayed late to finish the job, very thorough. Bob spent his time on the job personally, as well. We are extremely pleased with the end product and the creative touches that Bob added to it! We will use this company again for home needs.

Can't say enough great things about Daryl and Mindy. They came out found the problem and we were able to get it solved quickly. They were also very good at detailing costs and treatments needed. If you are unlucky enough to have water damage you're atleast lucky enough to have such a great team to get you back on the road. Thanks again Daryl!

As a property manager it is a great feeling when you have such reliable vendors that you can call and get same day service in an emergency. We routinely use Bales to clean our resident's carpets. I have raved before about how professional and thorough Daryl was but yesterday he went above and beyond. Our maintenance manager was faced with a heartbreaking decision yesterday to put down his sick dog.

He knew it was time when the dog could no longer control his bowels. I called Bales and they were able to fit us into his schedule for the same day. Daryl was professional and so respectful with the situation. He was able to get every stain out. He took his time pre-treating stains, and worked on difficult areas for an extended period of time. He was not only able to remove the pet stains, but also got out stains from kids spilling drinks down the stairs and in bedrooms that had been there for a while.

My maintenance manager was so impressed in the mist of his heartbreaking afternoon he messaged me to tell me what a great job Bales and specifically Daryl did. Thank you again for once again going above and beyond.

I like to begin by saying the two contractors who perform the work in my home were very kind and very respectful. The work was good however I was not allowed to choose the TYPE flooring I wanted, only the color. I contacted Larry to tell him the floor scratched and I wanted those planks replaced, but he did not accommodate me. I also had to call back because one side of the baseboards were left yellow, not brown to match the rest, this was before our settlement, so of course he was very kind to send one of the contractors back to fix it.

The drywall that was put up appeared cheap. I have tried everything to hang my picture I had hanging before the work, and have been unsuccessful. I have had to repair that wall twice. I wish I had demanded the paneling be replaced as I preferred in the first place. I had chair rails before the work was done now I don't I think they should have been put back considering the cost of everything. Lastly, during the holiday I had my family over and one of the transition pieces popped up.

Not only was it embarrassing, but I sent a text to let Larry know and his response was "we can take care of it through the week" however during the process of my work, before our settlement, he hadnt complained when I sent texts to him on a Saturday or Sunday, so why this time? Additionally, another piece transitioning to that same flooring is also halfway up.

This is horrible that I have to go out and buy product to make it stay down only 10 days after the work. Many reputable company say "we're here for you even after the work" well from this experience it's not true for Bales after $9,227.

The service provided by Bales Cleaning and Restoration is great! First they scheduled an appointment at a time that worked well for me. Then when the tech, Jason, was on his way he called to give me a heads up and arrived right on time. Jason was prompt, efficient and effective! He's been an employee of the company for 11 years. That tells me his employers trust him and he respects his employers. I felt very comfortable having him in my home. My carpets look great! I'd suggest Bales to anyone!
