During the great power outage from the Storm that hit southwest Fort Wayne in June 2022 ended up losing power and had water in the basement. Made the call and they had a team out there within a few hours. The team was professional, nice, trustworthy and hard working! I would highly recommend them for any of your needs. Service: Water removal

Dishonest company! I'm glad a couple people had a good experience, mine was not. I felt ripped off. I asked how much it would cost and I could not get an amount and there was nothing to sign. This company is very expensive One guy from different company drained the entire crawl space for $366, than I asked Protech to come and dry it out. They went in the crawl space and said it was already dry except two small little wet spots on the ground so they sucked it up.
I was not able to get an estimate, later got the bill for $575, it was more expensive than the company that drained entire crawl space. I was furious asked that bill be adjusted, it was wrong and they said no. Don't trust, make sure they give u an estimate. They are expensive and would not work with me on the bill. They did not do $575 worth of work therefore I was robbed. Find a different company.

We had water coming out of a vent in the bathroom below and standing water on top of the drywall ceiling above it from a leaking water line. Their team removed the water and dried everything out and they worked with me on the time frames I had available. They did an awesome job! I have used Protech before when my basement flooded years ago and received great service for a great price. This led me to using them for carpet cleaning almost yearly. Recently I was needing a last minute dryer vent cleaning because it was taking 3 hours to dry a load of laundry. They fit me in the schedule quickly, especially with the holidays. Once here, the 2 gentlemen noted that it wasn't a cleaning that I needed but a pipe in the wall came apart.
Not only did they clean the vent by they also ran to the closest town to get a new pipe and supplies to fix it, cut my dry wall, repaired the pipe, and replaced the dry wall with minimal follow up for me to do to finish the space they had to cut. I am beyond happy with their service. It is not often these days that u find a company and their employees that bend over backwards to do the job right, instead of just fixing it enough to get by.
The 2 gentlemen were kind, professional and very thorough. Will definitely be using the company's services again and hoping these 2 men receive compensation for a job well done.

I hired this group to clean out my attic and some minor work in the house on a budget. After dealing with the owner on a resolution, and then just doing the job myself to get it done right, I would NEVER hire, or do business with any of these jokes again. I wish I didn't have to give a star as they are not even worth one. The ethics, and standards set forth by the owner of the company is a shame. Cleaning up sludge fits the professionalism that I received.

Greg was absolutely awesome in his professionalism and work! They removed asbestos from the air ducts and suggested we get our HVAC guys in ASAP to fix the ducts. They had rusted thru and Greg used as much duck tape and cloth he could to keep our AC running. I would recommend ProTechs for any upcoming needs.

Dishonest company! On Mother's Day, my family found water leaking into our home in our kitchen from our ceiling/wall. I have always recommended Protechs Restoration as a firefighter, through their 800-Boardup connection. So, I called them and they responded to our home for water mediation. Our baseboards were already removed, due to our kitchen floor being replaced.
The employees looked at our roof (from MY LADDER) and probed the wall with a moisture meter. They went into our newly finished basement and probed the ceiling in a vent directly below we're the water was on the floor above (using MY LADDER and SCREW DRIVER). The supervisor arrived and said they were going to set up a dehumidifier, and 2 fans to dry the wall.
He said they would return "tomorrow" to check the wall and pickup the equipment. The next day, I saw an hour meter on the dehumidifier and the wall was dry and Protechs Restoration didn't show up as we were told. Because I didn't want to be charged, I shut off the dehumidifier and the fans, at 23 hours. Protechs didn't show up until Wednesday and they picked up the equipment without saying anything to us.
Our insurance paid part of the cost of the entire incident, but it was under 1k after our deductible. Our insurance said they didn't cover the roof, because it was "wind driven rain". I heard this term from the protechs supervisor when they responded to our home. Our insurance received a bill from Protechs (we never disclosed our insurance information) and the Protechs bill said "Wind driven rain".
We didn't call them to diagnose the cause, we called them for water mediation. Protechs provided us with a bill for $1,368.87, but not itemized. I was told by a former employee of the company that they offer discounts to first responders, so I inquired about a discount and was denied. I requested an itemized bill, to see what exactly I was paying for and it was provided.
They charged us with 3 days of drying, with 3 days for each piece of equipment. I contested the 3 days and I was told that was their minimum dry time. I asked why they told me they would return the next day, and they never replied to me. I asked again in a long email and the response was pay your bill, because your insurance approved it. Excuse me?
I never signed anything, and was never provided any information from Protechs. My email also asked for the removal of the two days of drying that wasn't done. I was more than willing to pay for the work that was completed. A few weeks went by and we were given an ultimatum, pay the bill or it would be sent to collections. I thought about fighting this in court, but I don't want a lean or something stupid put on my home by this dishonest company for $413.80, so we reluctantly paid the full amount.
I will no longer recommend Protechs or 1-800-Boardup to anyone. If this company will treat a firefighter this way, how will they treat the victims of fires or other water losses. I encourage all my firefighter brothers and sisters to really think about who you recommend to your scenes. Protechs is the 1-800-Boardup company for our area, and I intend to reach out to them as well.
Since my insurance didn't cover the roof, I tore the shingles off above the leak. Guess what, not wind driven rain! There was a damn hole in the roof, under the shingles, and it finally started leaking. I ate the cost of repairing the roof, which cost me over $600 in materials. I did the labor myself with the help from a good friend, which saved me some money. I'm also encouraging all my friends in the insurance business, as my wife and mother in law have been in their entire careers. DO NOT RECOMMEND OR MENTION PROTECHS TO YOUR CLIENTS!
I will now inform anyone looking for a restoration company about my experience and tell them to research Paul Davis, Water Out, ServePro, etc. and make an educated decision of who they want to entrust their property too.

One of my renters was arrested after starting a meth lab in my rental unit, leaving me with a huge mess to clean up. I was referred to Protechs for help. Everyone from Protechs was so understanding of my situation. My unit was cleaned from top to bottom, tested and certified as meth-free and ready for me to list in much less time than I was told by other cleaning companies in Fort Wayne. I am so grateful for their assistance.

We've used Protechs for 2 big water losses in the past 5 yrs and they did a fantastic job on both of them! A pipe broke at our friends house last weekend and we told her to use them. She said they were there less than an hour after she called and did a super job on her house just like we said they would. These guys came out in negative degree weather on a weekend and got the job done. When we need something fixed the only company we'll ever call is Protechs!

I have worked with several restoration companies in Indiana and Protechs was definitely one of the better ones. This was the first claim I have ever handled with them. They were very honest with me and my client about the extent of the damage which was less than we though and they provided more than they promised. They had my client back in her home 2 and a half weeks earlier than she anticipated. Not only was she very pleased but she told me she wouldn't recommend any other company in Northeast Indiana. I have to say I was quite impressed.

They are unprofessional, they lie and they cheat. They tried to take advantage of my senior citizen mother. They entered her house before the insurance adjuster and arson investigator and almost compromised my mom's claim. They claim to have experience, yet do this? They did not want to provide a written estimate, "When we get it all done, you'll get an estimate.".
That is a BILL, not an estimate. Then they overcharged right and left, I found three errors in their estimate, totaling one thousand dollars. Things that were not being cleaned or stored. Then they took longer than they promised, and were late on delivery. I would not use this company if THEY paid Me! AVOID
